I am not a huge fan of the Android TV interface. I think Roku and Amazon Fire have this beat, but once I set it up, she uses her Amazon Fire Cube for everything, so it doesn't really make much of a difference. For the price, I have no complaints. This is my second TCL 4k HDR TV purchase from Best Buy. The first one is over 2 years old now, and still works like new.

Great cheap tv, make sure your apps are compatible

There are others out there that are probably better. Purchased to stream the Spectrum app instead of getting a cable box and it turns out you can’t! My fault for assuming all smart TVs are created equal. They are not, but this was hooked up to our Apple TV and put in the bedroom and I got a Samsung, which is compatible with Spectrum for the living room.

Average but worth the price

They should really place their remote in the app store. So far no major challenges and the picture is good when source is good. Pros: Price, Sound, Android. Cons: Remote, soundbar functionality, Black Levels (especially when transitioning between shades.

TCL tv comment

I haven’t seen anything yet to indicate that the tv is 4K,and,subsequently, I haven’t noticed anything. The Dolby sound is very good as well. I did have my first glitch yesterday when I turned on the tv and it was a grey bar! I unplugged and plugged in again and it was ok.
