Maybe mine is a lemon? The sound is terrible!

It takes forever to set it up because Google TV is sort of invasive and you have to download apps, log in, do an update, etc. It was a terrible process setting it up, but I was happy once it was done until I noticed today that the sound is horrible and tinny. Like an echo chamber or something. I fitzed around with the sound and no setting fixed it. I tried different inputs and sources. All terrible. I didn't notice for Super Bowl, but it's really disappointing, having moved the old tv and invested so much time into something that has to go back. If I have to buy an $80 sound bar, I can just buy the Toshiba. I haven't seen a ton of sound complaints, so maybe mine is a one-off.

So her bedroom tv is roku and her new tv is google based

When TCL Started Making Roku TV My Life Changed For Sure. 10 Years After That First Roku And Google Assistant Seems To Be More Useful Than Siri...Having That In A TV Must Be Clutch...With The New Google TV Service And OS...I Have Still Have TCL A Brand I Trust, With The Modern Features From Google Assistant.
