    Bad sound quality and a very bad remote

    The Display is good. Google software is okay. Coming to the downside of the TV, the sound quality is really really bad. I have never had a TV with the sound quality this poor. But considering the cost of the TV, some sacrifices are to be expected. But I don't know if if something's wrong with the TV or the remote, but the remote is very unresponsive when not used for more than half an hour. Every time it freezes and the only way to make it work is to remove the batteries and insert them again. This is a very big pain to go through every day. I don't know if it's only my device or some universal issue. The issue with the remote started from the 3rd day of the purchase. I don't know if I should contact best buy or the TCL company.

    Nice tv but size wasn't correct for my order.

    Works well. Box says it is 55 inches yet it measures 50 inches across. Customer service said they measure diagonal for inches not left to right. I've purchased over 20 TVs in my years and never had this issue. Not sure what to say about it.

    I don’t know how technology keeps moving backwards. I know this is a budget tv and there has to be compromises. I just wish these were in picture quality or sound. Instead, tcl choose to provide much too weak of a processor. Every single input has a massive delay. This problem is compounded by having only a 50/50 chance that the input actually gets accepted. Additionally, google tv apps are just awful. Disney+ will literally never play a video. Hulu takes ages to load anything. But this may be a symptom of the tv’s weak processor.

    Great TV for the price

    Great TV for the price point. Very crisp 4K LED screen. Colors are vibrant. Speakers could be better but what do you expect for $300? Love the Google TV integration. Being able to see my photos on such a big screen during the ambient screen saver is awesome.

    Picture is fine. Sound is bad. Gave it to my son for his 21st bdday. He just set it up and sounds horrible. Most people said sound is good, so is something just wrong with mine??

    Don't get your hopes up

    Figured with it being late into 2022 and tech getting better, I'd upgrade from the TCL Roku TV so i can use the cast features and other google features. So I bought 2 of them. 1 worked great with no issues, the second one has issues after doing the required system update. Tv is now barely responsive, wont connect to wifi(router is 10' away), and I cant access the settings to try factory resetting without the menu locking up. Will be returning this weekend for a different brand.

    Geez, wish I could get rid of this thing.

    The apps run poorly on this TV. Philo won't run at all, always giving an error. Paramount TV buffers and then will fail. If I use these apps on my attached Roku device, no issues at all. The TV has a pathetic processor. And don't get me started on the poor wifi on this thing, and I have a 500mb fiber optic connection and a router about 10 feet away from the TV.

    Sound quality is bad. Tv is slow sometimes. I love the google tv features. Having most of what I watch pop on Home Screen is nice.

    Has trouble staying connected to wifi, I’ll watch Netflix and it’ll keep saying disconnected from internet and then connected to internet, it gets annoying quick. A little lag in the menu and switching between input, would not recommend to anyone

    You get what you pay for

    Bought this TV three months ago and it is already malfunctioning. The screen will go black while in use— you can hear sound but no picture. Sometimes the picture will return after 3-5 mins, sometimes it stays off for good. It’s to the point where the TV isn’t even usable, the screen goes out moments after the TV turns on.

    Bought two of these for a coworking space. Both are dull in color, and sluggish to load when switching between one preset to another. NOTE: The sluggishness is not related to the internet, but rather, the Google TV code itself.

    I am not happy. It’s not the size it says. It’s smaller. I asked for a 55inch. It’s 54 inches. I can’t get my Spectrum streaming app on. I have to purchase a Roku or Fire stick. Which is an additional cost. I’m very very upset!
