This TV is used in a 2nd bedroom for watching TV when I want to watch something other than what the wife wants to watch. Like most flat screens the speakers leave a lot to be desired but I have run a mini jack stereo line to a good quality table top radio and listen to it from the speaker next to me and it sounds fine that way. In a noisy room you would be better off having a good quality sound bar or surround system.

Great while it lasted - 18 months!

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While the picture can't compete w my 6-Series TCL (DolbyVision, HDR, with much more picture adjustability), I was more than satisfied w the picture quality and general operability of this tv. But then it died 6 months out of warranty. Like Hisense, TCL uses very cheap backlights and mine went out - get sound, but screen is black. Cost of parts and labor is prohibitive vs just buying new tv. You CAN make this repair yourself, but it takes HOURS and is delicate/tricky, requiring disassembly of many fragile parts and flipping whole tv several times. So into the trash w my all-too-new TCL TV

solid TV with OK picture quality

I, however found the black levels in movies and TV shows to be unacceptable. best Buy was kind enough to return it and I purchase the 6 series instead. Note: the picture quality between the TCL 6 series and the 4 series is HUGE, it really is night and day. THANK YOU BEST BUY!

There are options available to adjust the picture settings to better fit your personal preference. You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The Roku mobile app works as a remote and allows you to access additional features like voice search, private listening, expert picture settings, and more. Happy viewing!

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roku works fine on it. pretty fast. i was going through ps4 before so you can imagine the wait in that. everything connects easily. this is a spare room tv but still does the job. its not sony quality picture but if your not used to 2000 dollar tv's this is just fine and dandy overall. good for a kids tv and you dont have to worry about it being destroyed bc its really cheap.
