Bad HDMI ARC port

Had to return. New Apple TV 4K acts like it’s not compatible. Audio and video work but can’t control volume using the Apple TV remote or using the iphone. I’ve never heard of this issue before. Called apple and TCL. I’m guessing software bug.

no wireless connection to PC or laptop

My TCL Take

The ready access to and method of app download is freeing. Also enjoyable, the definite difference in picture quality. A “con”, television turns off for no apparent reason. Sleep timer not activated. (Next occurrence, TotalTech will be called in)

TCL customer support has been a little slow to respond. They are allegedly sending a tech out to fix the problem.

Stick with the TCL brand!

We bought a smaller, different brand tv for the bedroom. It was so difficult to set up, we returned it, and bought another TCL. So easy!

Beautiful picture, riddled with problems.

I have one in my workout room, my sister has one, and that’s why I was excited to buy this to replace our old LG. We initially fell in love with this TV right out of the box and were blown away with how beautiful the picture is, but fast forward a few days and that’s when the problems started. First problem was the volume. It would randomly lose all audio, and the only way to fix it was by going into the system settings and scroll all the way down to power settings and do a full system reset. That fixed it for a day or two but the next day I woke up and my father was watching the news but the tv once again had no volume. Again, I went through the process of doing a system reset, the volume started working, and the next day it randomly stopped again. As annoying as it is to have to do a full reset every time this happened, we were considering dealing with it just because of how beautiful the picture is, but then later that night the TV randomly shut off and wouldn’t turn back on, so I unplugged it from the outlet for a few minutes and it did power on, but now none of the controls on the remote were working. Again, I unplugged it from the outlet for a few minutes and plugged it back in and it fixed the problem, until the next day it lost audio again. If it wasn’t for the other problems, maybe we’d keep it, but for a TV thats not even two weeks old, there’s just no way to justify this many problems.
