BRIGHT panel with decent blacks but sluggish UI

This should have gone in my living room but it went in my bedroom. It is so bright that it is a bit too bright for the room. Panel is extremely solid and sharp. Only complaint is the UI or OS or whatever is slower than a much much cheaper TCL. The quality of the menus is much superior but the input lag is absolutely atrocious at times. A shame that such a dope panel is held back by such a clunky UI. I would still buy it again if I needed a bright panel for a main TV. For a bed-room TV a cheap TCL with low brightness would have sufficed (although the sharpness would be sacrificed).

Picture ok..Software and power issues!

(Dirty Screen Effect) But it is passable for the <$400 I paid. (At 500+ I would return INSTANTLY) The real issue is the software. Mine doesn't turn on at times or I have to wait forever constantly hitting the power button wondering if it will turn on or not. This is seriously not acceptable. I expected this low quality from TCL and Hisense. Nothing more nothing less. I also own a LG C1 and that is lightyears ahead of anything tcl or hisense could dream of producing regardless of price. Best Buy actually had to pull these units from sale until an emergency software update was pushed out. Well the software has been installed and still feels beta. Partial Chinese State owned electronics companies will never match well engineered products from Korea or Japan.

Slow and unstable

It takes a good 5 minutes to fully boot up, even with quick start. Apps take a good 2 minutes to load up. Apps crash frequently, i can guarantee hulu, disney, sling, prime, and netflix wil crash at least once after opening and sometimes randomly for no reason. I have done multiple factory resets to no avail. I was told it could be my internet, but i have a roku tv in the bedroom, on the exact same internet, with no issues like this. TCL has failed with its Google TV series. I am going back to amazon tv after this. If you are looking for a smart tv, look elsewhere.

Great screen, weird experiences

Use a streaming device with it and enjoy an amazing panel! Had a bery weird experience during setup, and at one point my volume stopped working completely. Other than that I’m loving it!
