    Bought this as a 4k monitor since it was far cheaper than any monitor on the market. Hoookup was easy and there were presets if you use this as a monitor Also handy that there are two positions for the legs. I wish there was an auto off feature, but I have not found it yet.

    I bought this as a gift. The recipient is very pleased with it. She's not very particular about display quality, but her partner is. I'm sure I would have heard all about it if there were any significant issues.

    Slow OS. Apps gets crashed multiple times. Makes life difficult and sometimes you have to reboot TV to make it work

    There is a problem with my tv screen. It has a reddish hue, and what should be white appears pink instead. I called TCL support. They are horrible. The girl was clueless and could not help. She seemed preoccupied with something else. What kind of service is that from TCL? I'm returning this tv. If you ever have a problem, you will never be able to get help from TCL; that is the lesson I just learned.

    I bought this as a replacement for my 6-year old 48 inch Samsung. I can’t afford an OLED and I read that QLED is the next best affordable option. While the colors on this TV are bright, the overall picture quality is no better than my old TV when it was new. I knew that VA panels have limited viewing angles, but since my living room is small, I didn’t think this would be an issue. You have to be sitting dead center in front of it for a decent picture, one seat over and the colors are washed out and the picture degrades. One day, after only being on for about 15 minutes, the TV shut itself off. Another day, I turned it on and it had sound, but the screen was black and I had to unplug it to reset it. I thought this TV was a good deal, but considering all the issues, it’s not worth what I paid. I like the built in Google Assistant, but that is the only thing that has worked well so far. It had another system update today, and maybe that will fix the power on/off issues, but it’s going back within the 15-day return window, a brand new TV should not be such a negative experience.

    Got two of these on sale and they are great cheap TVs. They are not the greatest image when watching action or live sports due to the frame rate, but I expected that with the specs and price. Still a 4K image that looks great, but I wouldn’t buy this for my main viewing tv.

    I was going to be happy no matter what because this was the best Black Friday deal. But the tv is great. Pretty snappy for a budget tv. On par with a a new Chromecast. Always on voice is cool. Some cool game modes for consoles. Nice bright image without being blown out.

    Good TV but google OS takes lot of time to power on the TV. that is the only drawback. But display is bright and looks like an expensive TV with thin bessels.

    Don’t recommend to buy, stops working after a year

    TV stopped working after 1 year of usage. Issue: When i tried turning it on the standby light just flashes, says no command. Then it turns off then goes back on again to the flashing standby light and back to saying no command, this goes on in a loop. When I called TCL support, they simply suggested to throw away the TV and purchase a new one.

    As everyone seems to mention this is a great deal at 199 but not so much at 399. I bought this for a spare room and have had no issues so far.

    Looks good and has a lot of the newest features like Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos....a little laggy but for 200 bucks you can't beat it.

    Major Hardware Defects

    I REALLY wanted to like this TV. The panel I received is FINE and the picture on external sources--when calibrated-- can be really impressive. HOWEVER, the Google TV OS-even on the latest update--is still incredibly clunky and laggy. If you plan on using this for you main media source, RUN FOR THE HILLS. But the WORST part is I have some major issues w/ HDMI on my Apple TV. After 20 minutes on my Apple TV input, the TCL just CRASHES and does a full shutdown. I cannot wake it back up via CEC on my Apple remote. I have to do a full power on from the clunky TCL remote. I've factory reset the TV and foregone the Google TV OS for the TCL native OS and still have the same crashes. Sigh, for the sale price, I'd forgive the clunky OS as I'd barely touch it and the weak speakers-- but with the TV literally crashing like clockwork when on my Apple TV I cannot recommend this garbage at all. DO NOT BUY. :(
