A good value for a mediocre television

From unboxing to full functionality took about 15 minutes, so it is easy and intuitive. The picture quality is very subpar. It renders dark colors terribly. Scenes that blend an ocean with the sky seem to confuse it, and I get a tremendous amount of jitter. But for what I paid I'll take it. If you're looking for a seriously nice picture, definitely go elsewhere.

Don’t buy

Decent 4k tv

Gorgeous TV

People hating on this probably didn’t configure the picture settings properly. This TV is stunning and you can’t beat the price.

White glow around edges

It's definitely noticeable, but at the 200 price point for BF I can deal with it. The google OS is good, there's no lag and the system is pretty snappy. Reports of a buggy OS had to have been when the TV first came out (since this was TCL's first google tv) but with the updates I have had 0 issues. Great buy at 200, idk if I could recommend it at 400+

TV is great, but not the ads

No built in way to turn this off even in app only mode. Not sure if this is also done on the Roku version, may return and buy Roku version instead. I understand ads on free services, but not as a part of the OS on the device I paid for.

Auto shuts off very frequently

Great tv

The 60fps makes every show and movie feel smoother than butter. I really like the slideshow pictures when the tv is idle for more than 10 minutes Only area that could improve is the deep blacks

Great Picture But Terrible Operating System:

The system stutters and is unresponsive and delayed when using the remote. Very glitchy. Google should be ashamed of themselves releasing this system in a beta like condition. Had the TV since the begining of November and still no over the air update to correct the Operating system. Only saving grace is the picture quality.
