4K like wow !

You can use personal photos as screen savers ! The volume is superb without any extra add ons. Have had it since 2020 and not one issue

Good TV for the price, assuming you get it on sale
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like others have mentioned, this TV is good but not great. I picked mine up for under $400 and for that price it seems like a good deal even with the issues. The first one I got had two different spots with dead pixels (not more than a couple pixels). They were unnoticeable from my normal viewing position (about 8ft or so) but when I use my racing sim rig I'm sitting much closer (about 4ft) and noticed them. A bit annoying as the TV was wall mounted and dealing with returns is never fun but the actual return at the store was pretty smooth and easy. After a couple days with the new TV I unfortunately found a spot where a pixel or two were not behaving correctly. Instead of being dead pixels and just being dark/black spots like on the first TV this spot was lit when it should be dark/black and it was only one spot instead of two. And again unnoticeable from my normal viewing position. I only really notice it when I'm gaming on dark loading screens and when the area around it isn't backlit you don't see it at all. So I decided not to return it again and hope it doesn't get worse. I'm not sure how common pixel issues like this are with new TVs but apparently it's pretty common with this TV. And again, 99% of people probably would not have noticed any of these spots and it's totally fine from a normal viewing distance. Like others have mentioned the OS can be a bit laggy but so far that hasn't bothered me too much, it hasn't been too bad and most of the time it seems to work fine. The YouTube app has freaked out a couple times but it's not hard to reset it. Others have mentioned the build quality isn't great which I have to agree with. I imagine it's similar with other new TVs in this price range. The TV I was replacing was pretty old but it's built like a tank compared to this TV. The TV also seems to think I have a button on the remote that isn't actually there and the remote is missing some buttons you'd expect it to have, not a big deal but things like a sleep timer you have to go through several layers of menus to get to, on my last few TVs there was a button on the remote. Not a big deal but a bit annoying. I'm not sure why anyone is complaining about brightness though, this TV is blindingly bright. It literally hurts my eyes sometimes it's so bright. I noticed sometimes the auto backlight adjust (forget what they actually call it) kind of freaks out during darker scenes (during dark/blue tinted scenes in Ozark for instance) but you can adjust that in settings, it wasn't too annoying but at first, especially after the pixel issues and before I realized what was going on I thought the TV was broken. Overall I'm happy with the TV for the price I paid but there are some issues.

Don't buy this tv until they fix it

The TV frequently glitches, is extremely slow, and just getting to the app you want to use is a hassle and chore. I've never experienced problems with a smart tv before and have always had TCL Roku TVs. This Google tv was definitely a mistake and their operating system needs some major adjusting.

Two minor beefs: included remote doesn't have a microphone for voice search and commands, and the on-screen signal strength meter for over the air TV stations isn't working. Searching online I found that this is a known issue- not a deal breaker but a minor annoyance. Overall a very good TV and value.

Good budget TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv was great for about a year and a half, then it wouldn't turn on anymore and was outside warranty. Decent for the sale price paid. Bought another TCL after this one died, hoping for better quality with a nicer tier of screen.
