    DSE, screen uniformity problems

    Severe screen uniformity issues have ruined the experience of watching this TV. The one I got is particularly bad for video games (and probably sports)

    It WAS a great TV until it broke one with a load pop, unfortunately 4 months after the 1 year warranty expired. Now it's just a huge paper weight. I'm afraid TCL has some major quality issues to address. Looking online this seems to be a fairly common issue.

    Less than ideal service. I pay for geeksquad yet some other person not affiliated came, HOURS LATE. I was given a time window that was not met, and after calling multiple times and rearrange my work schedule so I can be home. They finally came. What a disappoint, and what is the point of geeksquad?

    I was not expecting this tv to be much - the price was too good to be true and I was eyeing an LG. But it ttuly surprised us: the picture and sound quality are amazing; the setup was easy and after three years, it still works great. Minus one star because it sometimes takes a while to connect and load apps.

    The TCL 55 inch Riki Tv stopped working after 3 weeks. Fortunately Best Buy gave me a full refund. I purchased a Samsung and am very happy with it! Stay clear by of TCL…..cheap but unreliable!!!

    I would not recommend this tv to anyone. It cut off in the middle of the picture. Does not return to whatever you’re watching after a commercial. You get a constant rewind in middle of movie. It’s a piece of junk( for use of kinder words).

    Started out great but disappointed after the first week. Glitches during shows. Froze up when selecting channels or apps. Very frustrating. We ended up returning.

    This tv worked for 3 days then IR device on tv wouldn’t recognize remote. Total nightmare in getting a new replacement tv delivered and mounted. Terrible experience coordinating appointments

    Incredible TV, I have been using it for last few years and its still as incredible and vibrant as the first day i got it. You don't get that weird burn-in effect like some panels QLED's thinking about upgrading to the new version of this year.

    Not happy at first, but ok now.

    I was disappointed when I first started playing with this TV, in fact if I had not cut up the box and tossed it I would have packed it up and returned it. I had a higher end Samsung and was used to the many features it offered. No blue tooth to hook up my headphones, and the remote is a PITA as it has to be aimed right at the TV and for it to work well toward one side of the TV. Also I had to return to the home screen to get to another app in the TV. Since I could not return it I started researching what I might be able to do. And the Roku app for ios was the answer to my dislikes. I can now used headphones, no aiming the remote at the tv, and being able to jump from app to app. The TV itself seems fine. I also didn't want to spend $2000 on a new TV for the family room. Out of the box the TV looks good. Setting up the apps with user names and passwords is a bit of a pain with out a keyboard but IF I had known about the Roku app before hand it has a keyboard in it. All in all at this time I am happy with the outcome of the purchase.

    Bought it for gaming/pc monitor. After reading the reviews, they are pretty much spot on- super easy setup menu and to my suprise, it had a PC monitor input selection, including gaming and other devices. This was pretty much a plug and play event, Thank you TCL for making it so easy. picture is great and absolutly no delay- I believe these are around 10ms lag input which for this price point is very good. Also the remote is simple with the volume buttons on the side, again easy, how many of those other tv's have so many buttons you have to look at it just to change the chanel or volume. overall, extremely satisfied, expecially for the price!
