Good price for a good TV. However it did have some marks that I was unable to get off with proper cleaning and only 1 week later did a dead pixel appear. I contacted BestBuy who would not help me because it was TCLs issue to handle. TCL refused to help me and told me it was my problem. Bad customer service and warrenty and now I have a glowing white pixel on my TV that was new to me. Would not recommend buying open box items.

Bought this on sale. Good picture from straight forward viewing angle. As the viewing angle increases left or right, the picture color is not as deep and rich during TV broadcasting. This fading does not appear to happen when watching DVDs. The Dolby sound is great. Roku is great. So far so good with everything. My only criticism is the viewing angle restrictions.

I picked up this up for the next generation consoles and turned out to be fantastic. Colors are vivid and bright enough and look stunning at night in my room and although it runs at max 60hz, I would still recommend it.I don't see PlayStation utilizing past that for the the next few years .

This is a wonderful Roku TV. The picture is outstanding and there color just jumps out so beautiful. The Roku software can't be beat. It is so easy to move around the software and add any devices. This tv is so easy to use. Great picture.

After months of research, I decided on the TCL 5 series Roku. It arrived in pristine condition and I was shocked cuz I’ve read stories about boxes being all beat up before. The TV was set up color wise pretty good right out of the box. Only needed a little tweaking. So far it’s not to bad. Roku is slower than my previous Hisense; and my favorites on some Apps keep disappearing. For the price I paid $449.00 on sale, it’s not too bad. Was not happy with the Geek Squad at my local BB when I went to buy it. They tried to sell me more expensive cables that I KNEW I didn’t need and seemed to think they were smarter than I was. Kinda spoiled the whole experience for me. If you can get the sale price, get it. I’m not into gaming, just your average TV watcher that wants a good TV at a decent price.

If you can't afford one of those expensive oleds, this is a good substitute especially for the price. If you have a 4k tv and shopping for a upgrade here you go. The black levels are great and the colors are amazing. Its not oled but its also less than half the price of a oled thats on sale.

Let me start by saying that I compared A LOT of tv's on rtings.com to get a look at the more in-depth specs. From what I can gather, this is the BEST entry-level 4k TV for your money. Was certainly worth the extra 100-200$ on some of the cheapest 4k models out there. While most tv's will serve fine for the masses.. this TV is said to be a great gaming TV due to its low input lag and response time. From my reading, the weakest part about this panel is the Viewing Angles. I've personally not had a single issue, but if you have many people watching this tv from all across the room.. you may want to take this into consideration. This TV would EASILY be 5 stars if it wasnt for the frustrating Roku software. I've had several issues with apps just straight-up not loading anymore. For example, Netflix just giving me "loading errors" when trying to watch any show. Power cycling tv, updating apps, uninstalling/reinstalling apps *DOES NOT* fix this issue! The only way I can get it to work again is from unplugging the TV, and plugging it back in a few moments later. Not the end of the world but certainly something to consider. I've had to do this 5-6 times in the couple months I've owned this TV.

This is a great TV at any price, but for $400, it’s amazing. It has a crisp picture with great colors and was a cinch to set up. With Roku installed, it makes an even more compelling case for buying this set. I am using a sound bar instead of the speakers, which are marginal at best.

First off my sales person (David K.) was very knowledgeable..I told him what I needed,price and ease of use.i was looking at other tv's and he told me about TCL..we looked at the picture and I decided to buy what he recommended..I am very happy with this tv.. Everything he said about the tv was accuract..

Really like this 55 inch 5th generation TCL Roku TV ! Already have and still use daily two TCL 43 inch 5th generation Roku tv’s. I haven’t had any issues at all. Great picture, easily navigated and all in all a solid mid range reliable TV!

Great tv for the price! Amazing picture quality and really easy to use. I’ve had Roku TVs before so I’m use to the operating system on this style tv. Would definitely recommend especially if you are trying to get away from cable or satellite and want to do more streaming services.

Picture quality is fantastic. It's easy to use and the Apps work great. Sound quality is good as well. The only complaint I do have is that the TV, once it's been off for a while, has issues automatically finding the Wi-Fi that is was previously connected to. Other than that the TV is fantastic and a good value.

This TCL S535 has alot of upside to it! For one it comes in at a great price, it has ton of great features like eARC and Dolby Vision, and last the bulit-in Roku is a fantastic U.I to use and navigate. The only downside is the motion is ok on this panel not gonna be as fluid as a 120Hz tv but hey it still has something going for it.

The picture is great. It's easy to set up. Our Roku soundbar connected to it automatically. Other reviews mentioned that it was a bit dark in a lit room, but we didn't really notice that. PS5 games, Switch games, and streaming all look fantastic. Overall, this is a great TV.

We were pleasantly surprised at how much we like this tv. Given it's price and brand, we thought we'd be sacrificing some over our usual samsung - we were wrong. This is a great tv, the picture is perfect especially for our bedroom. The roku interface is so smooth, much better than both our samsungs and our vizio built in apps. Also looked at LG, but we were tired of not knowing which brand could only carry what apps (looking at you hbomax and LG), roku has everything we wanted. So.. if you're wondering what you're giving up for a tv in this price range... nothing! It's bright, smooth and perfect as a wall mounted bedroom tv. We added some leds behind it and boom! Also nice she can use our roku remote or her phone with headphones so i dont have to listen to vampire diaries while i go try sleep! Also.. tomsguide.com has a review of this 5 series roku tv, helped me pulled the trigger on it.

Incredible TV for the value. Picture is sharp and has tons of features. Comes with ROKU built in and that seems nice, but remote is awful and TV only boots up to ROKU which I hate. Highly recommend this TV, but you have to like Roku.

Good TV but the loading screen before switching to the previous input is annoying. There is a 5-7 second delay every time I turn the TV on and this seems unnecessary.

I have the 2019 version and this new version is has a much better picture quality. For the money, it's a very good value. I also prefer the built-in Roku version more than most other TV "smart OS's" that I've tried/have.

Great tv for the money, gorgeous picture both broadcast and streaming, very good sound, easy to set up, plenty of peripheral connections, perfect for my wife and me. It is a very good value for the price.
