However, as documented, the coil wind sound when set to high dimming is a real issue. Even at this price point, it's not something that should be happening -- I'll likely be returning the set unless the problem can be solved. And setting to medium in local dimming isn't a good solution since it's at the expense of picture quality.

There was only one left and the manager helped me secure the TV. He explained everything from top to bottom on the features this TV has. Overall another great experience, making a big purchase at Best Buy!

So i decided to Upgrade to the tcl 6 series. Good thing I bought this tv. A big upgrade from the tcl 4 series.

This is the best budget tv for the new game consoles. And on top of that it’s great for streaming and Blu-ray as well. Very user friendly and no problems with it as far as I can tell.

The gaming functionality is amazing, and though it’s not as bright as the U8H, I found the image more accurate and stable across the board. No issues with color banding, and sound delay if a system is hooked up. Tip: keep HDMI inputs set to auto and audio to pass through if your using a system.

Alot of value for the money

This is one of the best TCL tvs I ever seen and have no complaints about it. The Roku interface is always fantastic to use.

Most importantly, the voice mode is set up perfectly. Still wish it had an equalizer.

And we have had issues with the speakers/sound system. Even though we have a sound bar, the TCL speakers will override and emit what we call as screeches. Also from time to time, the sound does not sync with the picture - ie woman speaking but words do not align. Swapping out for a new one this weekend! . owned for three weeks
