TCL Series 6 55” ROKU TV a winner.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is the third TCL Roku TV I have purchased and the best one yet. I originally got a Series 4 55” 7 years ago and this one replaces that model. I purchased a Series 5 75” 3 years ago for the basement man cave and it surpassed the quality of the older 55” significantly. I decided, when the old 55” started acting up (edge lighting flickering on one side with brighter picture settings and intermittent handshake issues with sound bar through ARC hdmi), to go for the higher quality Series 6 with OLED to replace it. Quality of picture of the new unit is even better than the slightly older 75”. Couldn’t be happier with ease of setup, picture, and Wi-Fi compatibility. Definitely recommended as a reasonable cost alternative to more expensive SONY or SAMSUNG units. Half the markup is for the name brand anyway. TCL is still building their reputation in the US so that is reflected in the price but IMHO they’re comparable in performance.

Best Tv I’ve ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.For the price this tv knocks it out of the park. I purchased an insignia and that was the worst. Returned it and bought a Samsung, also was not impressed and returned that one. Purchased a sony tv and returned it the same day. Then in the store I came across this one and figured I’d give it a shot. All the big name brands let me down. Best tv I’ve ever had is an understatement. I’ve been blown away since. Picture is crisp. Cookies are BRIGHT. Speakers are decent for the price. Its important to keep in mind that it’s a $200 tv. So it’s not perfect. But for $200 you wont find a better option.

You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The Roku mobile app works as a remote and allows you to access additional features like voice search, private listening, expert picture settings, and more. Hope this helps & happy viewing!

OK TV. Disappointing experience

Big issue is that this was an open box purchase from the Fort Smith Arkansas store. The listing on the website was frankly a lie. Went back to the store and the managers were beyond rude. They said what the condition statement on the website really didn't mean what it said and that I should have known the remote control and tv stand wouldn't be there. No help, no offer to correct it. They said if I didn't like it, I could always return it. Beware of any open box purchases. They will not stand behind what they say.

Worth and my whole family loving movie to watch

Unbelievably Disappointed

It was our fifth TCL TV purchase in under 6 years as we had previously enjoyed their products. Our screen went green two weeks ago. After following all procedures with no success, we had our cable company check it out and we learned that TV was toast. We tried it at other locations and it didn't work at any of them. We then called into TCL and filed a claim. The TV had been purchased at Best Buy about 15 months ago. After 24 hours, we received a reply from an agent notifying us that since we were passed a one-year warranty, there was nothing they would do. This will be the last TCL product we purchase for our homes or our businesses. Good products don't break after 14.5 months, but even if they do, good companies, standby them to at least a decent extent. The reply from TCL was awful, and quite frankly wrong.

SOUND ISSUES

I just wish I wasn't returning it new years day less than a week after i purchased it. The menu sound will work just fine but open any app and nonsound. Sure a reboot will fix it but daily reboots are unacceptable.

Bubbles and lines all over panel

As soon as i removed the protective plastic, I could see huge bubbles and horizontal lines on the panel, visible from 20 feet away. I thought it may be another layer of protective film, but no its some kind of cheap outer layer that DOES NOT come off. Even with heat or a razor it wont come off. Ive purchased a few cheaper tcl tvs that were fine in the past, this one is total junk. It may have a good picture, etc but if its made out of cheap materials its not going to last anyway. For $700 you expect at bare minimum a functional tv with no damage and decent picture quality. Do not buy, youre gambling with cheap components and hoping for a positive outcome. I urge you to spend $200 more and get a brand name tv. Youre more likely to get a faulty panel than one of the few good ones with tcl.

Poor Quality, Poor Support

Weird squealing sound not part of the TV audio

This TV makes a very noticeable squeal (like an electrical sound -not part of the TV audio-) when switching between apps (particularly when the TV is loading new stuff and the screen is black). Unbelievable from a 2022 TV. That might be the reason for which price has just gone down for this TV. I'm gonna return it asap.
