Love this tv. Easy to set up easy to use. The picture is great. I have a nice Sony 4K and this is close on comparison. It isn’t OLED but for the money you will not find much better. Time will tell if it holds up but to score this on sale I am beyond happy thus far. Will probably add a 75” in the basement

This has to be one of the finest picture quality TV's I have ever seen. The only issue I have had is with the remote. It started to work fine until the upgrade and then it stop responding on occassion. So I purchased another remote and going to call TCL this week to see what they can do. But as far as the TV itself, love it.

Incredible brightness and mini-LEDs really help with contrast levels (some blooming does occur). So far the only issue has been occasional freezing of the Roku software requiring a reboot. Hoping that a future software update resolves this. Otherwise great TV for a good price.

Great picture quality on this TV. For under $650 you can't go wrong with this TCL TV Awesome brightness, great speakers, enough ports, and of course the specs you get are unmatched. The only con I find is that it can't go dim enough to my liking during night. Great TV, you won't be disappointed

Poor Experience with TCL 55R635 Remote and G Squad

Was advised by in-store salesperson that this specific model was superior in terms of quality and functionality to the others I came in with which I'd put in my virtual cart (online prior to store visit). This appeared to be true and in agreement with what I read about this item's specs, etc. When I tried to follow the on-screen procedure to link this item's supplied remote control, this function failed repeatedly. I THEN tried to access the Geek Squad coverage I purchased with this item, but was prevented from obtaining assistance due to the poor functionality experience I had on your website for this. So THEN I went to the TCL website and engaged chat with one of their people. I was instructed to perform a total reset of the remote so that it might then be able to be used with this TV. This process took quite some time and involved a very specific protocol. Fortunately, doing all this allowed me to use the remote that came with the TV. At this time, it appears that the TV and remote are functioning properly. As a "review," for this Customer this product is merely one of a large number of competing products and manufacturers that appears to me to be way less thrilling a purchase than I had expected it to be. I know I've been impacted by the problems that came with this product and its remote, but that did shake my confidence in TCL's products overall. Also, since I purchased Geek Squad protection for this item and couldn't readily access it, I was originally frustrated with both the product and the additional Geek Squad service to the point where I was "inches away" from packing up the item, returning it to the store, and getting refunded for it and the GS protection. It remains to be seen whether the Geek Squad protection will come into play for this item. However, not being readily able to obtain at least some contact with a Best Buy rep regarding Geek Squad service left me with the feeling of "why did I pay for a service that is just another, separate problem from the problem I'm having with the product?" ***It needs to be stated in this review that when I agreed to upgrade my choice of products to this TV, the salesperson told me it wasn't available BUT would be "delivered to my home." However, I was notified by email that my item had arrived for me to return to the store to pick up. I tried contacting the BB store where I purchased it to get that cleared up, but the way your system is set up, that wasn't possible and also included long wait times to transfer my call to the correct store/division/party on your end. SO, I had to return to the store to get the TV and deal with how my "home delivery" was changed to "come get it at the store." NOT GOOD ON ANY COUNT, BEST BUY!!!

Recently purchased a TLC Roku 55 inch TV. It was very easy to set up and great picture and sound. Only draw back is the placement of the volume buttons on the Roku remote, too easy to mute TV inadvertently. but over all a very good product and we are very pleased with our purchase.

Bought this TV for my father to replace his tube tv and was really concerned about the ease of use because he is a Pain in the butt about not knowing what is going on and how things work. I gave him a 30-minute class and he is comfortable with using the TV and TCL soundbar with NO PROBLEMS. Great TV, easy to use and good sound.

Very pleased with this tv. The picture quality is outstanding especially when viewing 4k content. I have the best internet I am able to get in my area which shares the verizon cell towers at 4G speed. When streaming live sports the picture quality is not great. If you had cable internet with this tv I assume the picture would be better when watching sports. Picture quality is great when viewing channels on our HD antenna. There is a lot of free content that the built in Roku provides. Between our antenna and the roku generated channels there are well over 100 to chose from before ever downloading any additional apps. I have a new amazon firestick plugged into an older tv on the main floor of my house that is closer to our internet router than the new TCL roku tv. The older tv with the new amazon firestick lags/buffers frequently when using the disney+ app and this new TCL tv installed in my basement does not. Probably going to buy another TCL to replace the older tv at some point.

You won’t find a better TV at this price. For the average family using it for cable, satellite, streaming apps, this is a great investment. We’re considering one of the OLED tv’s, but decided to save the difference in price, for our viewing needs, and glad we did as this TCL looks, sounds, displays beyond our expectations.

This TV is a good gaming tv for next gen gaming if you're on a budget. The colors were very nice and has vrr. I did end up returning this TV to upgrade to something better but for the price it will get the job done. Over all a solid purchase for the price.

Good value. Beautiful color and not a sky high price. Not an OLED but I've heard OLEDs aren't really that great, because they cost a lot and then have problems after a while. I think the technology needs more time to mature. Anyway I think I'll be happy with this TV for several years. Performing well so far.

The picture and sound on this TV is amazing. Only negative is that the remote is basically useless. However the Roku app works great as the remote and you don’t have to worry about a remote being lost. I would never buy a higher priced brand when I can save and get a great tv like this TCL!!

    Amazing TV

This is an amazing TV at any price, but at $650 it’s a steal. I was looking for an inexpensive tv to use outside and had initially purchased a Samsung 7000 TV from Costco. What a disappointment. The Samsung TV, although bright in the store, was painful to watch at home. The reflection was terrible and the image quality was terrible. Watching a soccer match was like watching a Minecraft game. So I returned the TV the same day to Costco and headed to Best Buy. I decided to pay a little more and get the TCL 6 Series Mini LED. What a difference a TV makes. Wow. With the Samsung I spent 2 hours unsuccessfully trying to get the image right. With the TCL it took me 10 minutes. The image is so much brighter than the Samsung. The contrasts are stunning. The blacks are truly black. In fact, I would venture to say that the tv is better than my super expensive 1080p LG Oled TV that I had purchased a few years ago. So now instead of using this TCL TV as our cheap outdoor TV, we are going to use it as our main TV. It’s that good. Buy this TV of you can find it. You will have no regrets.

Very happy with this purchase. Great picture. Great price. Setup was pretty easy - I had a separate stand, and it only took 4 screws to attach it. One thing I was concerned about is the bright LED on the front that illuminated my whole bedroom. But this can be turned off through the TVs settings.

Really good quality, affordable for the size and technology. Great for gaming, old and new consoles alike look amazing. No lag or freezing while playing. The sound okay, but the remote is garbage. You will want to either buy a compatible remote or download the roku remote app on your phone.

Overall this is an amazing TV for the price. There are few things that could make it better but in this price range you cant go wrong here. The picture quality is awesome you do have to calibrate it a little. The Roku OS is great I had to reset the tv once to get everything working right the first time but since then its been great. I did notice that if you use the Roku apps (Hulu, Netflix, etc...) you do have to back out of the apps instead of clicking the home button because it tries to keep the other app you were just using open and the OS cant handle that. So make sure you close out of the apps. Don't use the home button on the remote. The only bad thing I have to say about it is the viewing angles are bad and there is no anti glare. There are plenty of reviews that talk about the viewing angles and glare so if that bothers you don't buy this tv. It doesn't really bother me so this is the perfect tv for me. All in all this is an amazing tv for the price.
