Based on reviews, technology and friends who own TCL sets, I decided to pick up the new 55 635. Price is very reasonable (first HD set I bought was a Samsung rear projector for $3000+!). Happy they moved the legs inboard from their location on last year's model which would never have fit on console. Set is super bright so it works well for daytime as well as nighttime viewing. Upgrade from 10 year old CFL lit 48 inch Samsung, and appreciate bigger screen with only marginal larger size (due to much smaller bezel). I only now need to program my Universal Remote to work with set and eliminate the need for Roku remote. Roku interface is snappy and easy to work. Only wish that it "woke up" on the setting it "went to sleep on" when the set was shut off. and not default to home screen.

I have enjoyed this tv so far. My only complaint is if the lights flash or if it connects to wifi it turns itself on and won’t go off. This causes the screen to become hot.

Excellent quality, UI is fast and easy to use, and I absolitely love the 120hz screen. It makes the motion smoothening feature much more natural and less jarring than on 60hz displays. The picture is bright and the color range is wide and satisfactory. The only thing that loses a star for me is the bottleneck of the HDMI ports, and the lack of ability to use two of them to achieve a 4K @ 120hz signal. With the HDMI ports, you will max out at 1440p @ 120hz which isnt bad but of course if you bought the TV for 4K 120hz gaming, look elsewhere until they add the feature to bond several HDMI cables together like in 8K TVs

5 stars for the price compared to performance. On my set the black levels are outstanding. The DSE is minimal (need to really really look for it on a DSE specific test) and after a minor calibration with the IPQ app the color is perfect to the eye. My only complaint are the issues playing in 120hz/vrr . Every few games the picture is lost, turns solid white, red, or blue, and then goes to a black screen. I then have to unplug the TV to get it working again. Sometimes I can quickly bring up the system menu on the xbox to get around it but others it doesnt work. This needs to be fixed asap.

The picture is bright. Everything integrated well with cable, streaming services and existing sound system. Super-easy to use. I am saving my pennies to replace the unit in my studio the moment it goes back on sale!

Loving this TV, replaced our 10 yr old big screen, non smart TV...lol, we are now in the land of streaming! Very easy to set up, nice picture and sound...very happy with our purchase.

Very easy to setup and user friendly! I think it has really good picture and sound quality for this kind of tv. I shopped around quite a bit before purchasing a tv. I think this was the best tv for the money

This is a Great TV. I read in the local newspaper this is a good time to buy a high end TV, this is one of 4 they recommended. Went to Best Buy and they were out of the ROKU version so I ended up with the google platform. Had problems with that particular TV, took it back and was able to get the ROKU. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The ROKU platform is so much better, more features. With only internet and over the air I get almost 100 channels. The over the air tuner is very good. The available streaming platforms is great too. The picture is fantastic! And, with a 16GB flash drive the show can be paused up to an hour and a half.

Got this tv on sale Black Friday. It’s not the worlds greatest tv but is very good for the low Black Friday price.

Having issues with the remote working with the TV. I believe it is an issue with the TV because I bought another remote and that has the same problem. And the worst part is that it is intermittent. I'd say the remote works 80% of the time. The other 20% I have to use the Roku app on my phone. It is annoying. If I can get it to be a problem consistently, Then I would call the geek squad to take a look at it. TV quality is very good though. I'd advise a sound bar if you want quality sound.

I should have heeded the reviews regarding this TV’s remote. Wow is it bad. Yes, you can use an app, but it’s not ideal. I won’t buy a ROKU TV again. It’s otherwise a good value, but don’t underestimate how frustrating it is to try to set up a TV for which the remote doesn’t work.

My only reason for giving this TV a 4 star rating is because of the remote. TCL can do better with this baby remote. Otherwise, a descent TV for the price, not bad at all.

Sweet TV, I love it at time's the motion blur gets me but most of the time it's an incredible experience. So I offer you this if you don't want to spend a lot and have a great TV for the money I offer you this..

Great service when we purchased and picked up at store. Easy to hook up. Looks fabulous- really clear picture. Roku is super simple to use. We are really enjoying this purchase.

This television is very good in quality, both with a picture, and sound at that. Colors stand out beautifully, and 4k looks stunning with HDR. Fantastic TV for the price that i paid for it.

Great TV and price! It is perfect for my movie and gaming needs. I have multiple TCL TVs throughout the house and highly recommend the TCL 6 series for anyone considering it.

You aren't going to find a better TV for this price. Beautiful picture, lots of inputs, and Roku built-in. Took a little while to dial the settings in, but it looks incredible with Dolby Vision content.

Great picture for the cost of this television. If I had to be critical I’d say the remote it comes with is a piece of junk. Also the sound isn’t fantastic.

Great TV for the price, excellent color, we use it for our Xbox gaming system, we love that it actually seems to make our gaming better.
