    The picture is good, but the tv goes off periodically! I have to turn it off, then back on, then go to channel I was watching. It is impossible to reach anyone at Best Buy. I called TCL and they blamed it on the cable, however we didn’t have the problem with my other tv. It’s very frustrating!

    We have had issues with this tv since we bought it. Randomly turns off, sometimes won't turn on. Freezes at any given time. Be careful buying this tv.

    i bought this tv so i could use it with my xbox one x. The game mode was alright, a little glitchy. On the 10th day, the vrr/hdr/hdmi 2.0 stopped cooperating with each other. it produced a black screen with only the games sound. i turned off all of these things and it started working again with a less desirable picture, its going back tomorrow. I'm disappointed in tcl

    Color quality is good. This TV is heavier than most TV's on the market. And I was very disappointed that this TV could not be mounted.

    We hooked up our google chromecast 4K and it literally broke the TV. Lines appeared on the screen and it never recovered despite factory reset and further investigation. Was only 16 months from purchase date. 2nd TCL we've purchase that has had screen issues. POOR PERFORMANCE. Done with this brand.

    1st and last TCL purchase

    What a dud this TV has been. The sound randomly blasts distorted noise at full volume even when the volume is set to its lowest setting. For now I have bypassed the sound on the tv completely and plugged in a soundbar directly in to my Directv receiver. If that were the only thing wrong with the TV, I would just chalk it up as an annoyance and move on, but it also has intermittent problems with all the HDMI inputs - the colors on screen will be all pink. I have replaced cables and used a Roku, Blu Ray player as well as the Directv receiver and the problem eventually returns. I tried resetting the TV to factory settings and it fixes it for a few days but it always comes back. Completely unplugging the set from the wall, and not just turning it off and back on again also "fixes" things, but again - only for a little while. At least 2 or 3 times a week I'm having to perform this routine. This was a huge waste of money. If this had been a cheap entry-level model that would be one thing, but this is the higher end of the lineup and at close to $700 for a 55" TV I should've gotten something a lot better than this sorry piece of garbage.

    Nothing but trouble.

    I bought this tv thinking I was getting a good deal. So far I've got nothing but trouble. I've been constantly having trouble with the sound, and when I contacted TCL for a replacement because its a brand new TV, they refused to anything. Buy at your own risk, spend your money on something else.

    If you’re looking for a cheap budget tv, then this is probably for you. This tv is great if it worked like it’s supposed to. It’s very glitchy. The interface freezes randomly like a lot! Delayed reactions when toggling through the menus sometimes or random restarts. Picture quality is so so. Works great for a dark room but not so much if there’s a lot of light. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this tv.

    Worst tv experience ever! Right out of the box the remote would not work. I finally got it to work but I had to push each button 5-10 times to get a response. Then I went through 3 battery replacements in 8 days with total watching time of less than 10 hours. I am returning the whole set and will never buy a Tcl again

    Returning mine on Jan 16. started out great, but about 3 weeks in stuff started to get wonky. hdmi ports dont work, only shows a blank/black screen. built in roku player freezes constantly. tonight nothing will play. locks up on every app. too bad, picture quality was good while it lasted... i hate smart tvs....

    High incidence of failure

    Bought TV Oct 2020,..in Nov 2021 I noticed a large greenish tint on the screen. Luckily, I bought Geek Squad warranty which covered me after 1 year manufacturer warranty expired. (I bought it because I read reviews of people having trouble with screen). Tech told me screen was bad and couldn't be repaired, so they're going to replace it with a new TV (I chose LG brand this time). There are too many reports of defective picture quality/issues to conclude anything other than poor quality product, despite all the excuses presented by TCL.

    Good price, defective sound.

    TV would be great, but has defective volume control. On restart, all low and medium frequency sound is clipped. It is necessary to pull the plug and repower it to fix. The only option to avoid doing this every time, is to go into settings and select the power-wasting instant-on option.
