I was deciding between a 55" Sony X750H (currently on sale for $570) vs. this TCL Class 6. After reading countless reviews and comparing the two, I opted for this model and I don't regret it at all. The mini-LED technology is great. Basically tens of thousands of tiny LED lights compared to the hundreds of a standard LED. I mainly use this for gaming which is great. Note: You can only use 120 HZ at a max of 1440p. Take it you might have to mess with the picture settings to adjust it to your liking, I can't really complain. Great value for the price and if you're like me, that isn't willing to spend over $1k on an OLED, but still enjoys having great picture quality, I'd go with this.

So far so good. Got this TV over Christmas as a household gift for watching streaming services and TV via AppleTV 4K. Super easy set up. TV quality is great, sound is great. My only complaint is the occasional blur that occurs with some of the motion. I've adjusted all of the motion blur settings so that they run optimally, but it still happens. I'm assuming this is what happens when you don't spend thousands of dollars on an LED tv. It's annoying, but for the price, it's tolerable.

I love it! At the time I could not afford the 8k model, which is what I really wanted. However, this has exceeded my expectation.

Great looking tv with good looking blacks and no dirty screen effects as long you disable led motion clarity. The only downsides are using "expert picture settings" didn't work on my android devices but worked fine on my iphones. Also 1440p 120hz pc resolution doesn't fit in the screen correctly, but using nvidia control panel corrects it. I was debating on returning it since I was looking for something for pc gaming at 1440 without any extra work, but ultimately decided to hold onto it since I was impressed by the picture quality.

This tv is a significant upgrade from my previous Samsung TV. Setup was troublesome as the remote supplied worked intermittently. A call to TCL support, with almost immediate connection to an agent, then led to 30 minutes of troubleshooting to prove it was the remote and not operator error. Three days later I got a new remote, linked it to the TV and started to explore. Very easy to do and link streaming services. BTW, the Roku phone app worked okay when it maintained link. Overall really enjoying my new TV after initial bumps.

The value for the quality of picture and ease of app navigation make the TCL Roku a go to for my family. This is our second addition—one for each up- and downstairs. The only sad thing about these TVs is their built in speakers are tinny and weak. We have a sound bar with each. A second thing is that they sometimes freeze, but quick restart or turn off/on fixes the issue. The easy and amount of apps makes these palatable in contrast to the old Vizio we had that lasted a little more than three years and lacked the depth of apps. We own the 65” and this 55”.

Amazing picture. Old shows look new with depth and freshness. This 55 inch replaced a 46 inch and took the same space. The old TV frame was 2.5 inches on top and bottom. There is almost no frame. Used with 4k blu-ray and wow. Wirth every penny. The blacks are black and we've seen no motion issues with sports. One issue is reflection. If large kitchen light is on there is a reflection when the screen goes dark. Usually don't notice any reflection. Also the stand is too wide for our table so using a stand that attaches to the back the way a wall mount does. Best tv for the price.

I researched a lot about this tv before purchasing! Previously purchased the Samsung 800 series and I quickly returned it! This tv is a Roku tv so it worked out great for us. I watched YouTube videos on the correct settings to make this tv worthwhile and I’m so glad I did! I was able to turn off the action smoothing/picture clarity setting without the quality of the picture being diminished. I turn those settings off because I am sensitive to motion and the Samsung series made me ill to watch shows like the Office. Great sound and brightness is top notch! You won’t regret this purchase!

After reading reviews I worried about this TV . I use it for a desktop computer monitor , I have cable TV hooked up to it & an outdoor antenna . The picture is beautiful . Even black & white pictures on ME TV are fantastic , never seen such clear B&W pictures . Playing Cyberpunk 2077 , Red Dead Redemption 2 are extremely fascinating pictures with HDR & Nvidia Ray Tracing . The TV tuner works really nice too , seems to be stronger than my other TV's .I pick up over 90 channels & most are in English ! I have no complaints about the sound , like some have said . Thank you Bestbuys !

We own the 55" (55R635) and 65" (65R635) variations of this TV; I posted the same review for both. They perform quite similarly as you probably know. We are very happy with both sets; they are an excellent value. Rather than delve into general pros/cons (which can be gathered that from other reviews) i'll simply point out notable differences. - the 55" does better with 1080i/1080p upscaling which is somewhat expected given the same number pixels need to be distributed over a larger area. I'd rate the small set excellent; the larger very good. - the 65" is a bit better with 4K HDR in high contrast scenerios which may be a result of more local dimming zones. Neither set matches OLED but the effect is still satisfying. - audio from the smaller set seems better. We ended up grabbing a TCL 6+ sound bar for the bigger set is it sounded a bit hollow with the built-in speakers. Not both were originally in our primary viewing area and we switched between the two sets before moving the smaller set to a different room. - overall I prefer the smaller set, primarily because 90% of the content is upscaled. Over time that will change but that's the reality of today.

My first large TV (replacing 32"). I can't get over how big 55" is! Also, the color & clarity! Still having a problem with hooking up my sound system, but working on it. I could not afford to pay to have it done. The TV sound is very good, but not surround! TCL was great with helping me get it up and running on the day after del. I may have to call them back for more help, or use my BB Geek Squad!

This TV is not perfect but compared to another company that just released a mini LED TV in 2021 this TV is golden.. it is actually beautiful looks nice minimum blooming.. definitely worth the money. TCL could teach some of these companies especiallya South Korean specific capitalistic company. Won't mention no names S.....g my only problem is me personally I don't like Roku at all I got it from my grandmother we set it up it's great. Definitely got more than what we paid

You want all the bells and whistles, without the overstuffed price tag? DON'T HESITATE if you see one of these in-stock. They are hard to find and worth every penny. Great OS, fantastic quality, and budget price. I know you are thinking... can it be worth it at that low of a pricepoint? Yes. Yes it can. Unless you are a TV snob and overanalyzing everything about your TV, you want this one. I mean, sure, you can count blur and measure blacks all day... but don't you just want to plug it in, have it look great, and enjoy? Get it.

The 55' TCL SSR 635 was a natural update from the series 55" SSR6 TCL I purchase two years ago. I loved that set for its picture quality. I can tell a definite difference in the picture clarity, contrast and brightness over the Series 4. While it does not have the picture fine tuning abilities of the Series 4 its overall quality is better. The Roku features I can take or leave as I use a cable box. The technical support was good and I had the set-up done in 30 min. Don't be afraid to call them.

The picture on this Tv can’t be beat at the price point. Make sure to get 120 Hz version. Whether it’s movies or gaming this is an awesome display… I am extremely happy with my purchase. The sound is impressive. I’ve purchased a few different TVs over the last two years and one thing that I noticed is most brands will sacrifice the sound at the lower price points assuming people will go out and buy a sound bar. I have two Bose sound bars and I’m sure I will eventually hook one up to this TV but with the built-in sound I am in no rush to do so.
