Perfect for what we need!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing television for the price. We were just looking for something bigger for our living room. After the price and ease of purchase, we were floored by the quality and ease of setup.

Bang for your buck
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brilliant TV for the money. The Roku TV is my personal favorite and much better than the Android TV on my Sony TVs. It is arguably a better picture than my much more expensive Sony TVs as well. Things to consider: This TV is pretty thick as compared to peers so if that is a deal breaker keep it in mind. That said it was still simple enough to wall mount on my own with a random extending and swivel mount I got off eBay. I also don't think this is very energy efficient. I have the settings tuned up pretty high and it is a QLED TV (my only one so not sure if that is part of this) but it warms the area around it a bit.

Netflix and Thrilled
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My partner HAD TO HAVE a new television, but when considering the size and layout of the living room, we needed something a bit smaller than the 65" one he was hellbent on getting. He's owned this brand before and had no issues with it in terms of quality, so when he found this one in his price range, he went for it. Fantastic picture quality that doesn't degrade (at least that I can tell) even when playing video games. It's not very heavy, but still feels sturdy. He ended up coupling this with a Vizio soundbar later on and everything works wonderfully. Definitely makes staying inside for our occasional lazy binge watching days that much better.

6 series is awesome
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome TV if you can find one. The price point on this TV compared to the 8 series is insane. This TV comes pretty darn close to my 8 series. I really love my TCL tv's

Best bang for you buck!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The expert reviews and hype are real!!!!!!!!!!! I bought this set for my bedroom to upgrade my old 3d plasma TV. I love it! aside of the fact that its only 60hz the picture quality of this tv is amazing. I have an OLDE that's 3x's the cost and is a far more superior tv, however considering the cost this tv is - its an excellent choice. Compared to my OLED I would rate this tv a 8/10 in terms of picture which is an amazing value. I don't like the Roku interface - it feels outdated and cheapish, but once your watching something you quickly appreciate the Tv for is picture quality.

Great inexpensive smart tv
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As usual, I wish I had waited just a hair longer for the next gen, but such is life. I’ve been waiting for an led smart TV that can come anywhere Near my ancient Panny plasma from 2008 and these are finally getting there. After Climbing the Roku learning curve, I also really enjoy the simplicity of their interface. I usually base my satisfaction on how painful my buyer’s remorse is after a purchase like this. I returned the last 2 attempts (Samsung and Visio) in recent years and decided to wait for something better. I finally kept this one, and don’t have any nagging regrets. That’s my version of a 5 star item...

Good value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great price for a 4K tv, a little banding in dark scenes but not a deal breaker given the price. I like having the roku integrated into the tv. Able to reduce the number of remotes from 3 to 1

Great picture, sound, and more for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this specific brand and model based on a Wired review (https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wired.com/review/tcl-6-series-tv-2019/amp), and totally agree with their judgement! I was very impressed with the picture, sound quality, and refresh rate options for the price! We stream through Apple TV 4k, but the Roku interface and apps included are great as well! We also have an Xbox 360 and standard blu ray player connected. The Xbox looks fantastic, and the blu ray picture is much better than I expected on this tv (though I’ll definitely buy a 4k blu ray player soon for even better picture and sound).

Nice TV but I was hoping to be blown away by it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really was hoping to amazed by this TV like so many others but unfortunately I'm not. It's nice and works well after a looooong time trying to get the colors/tints right. Maybe I was just spoiled by my 12 year old 50" Samsung Plasma - it was near perfect out of the box with almost no messing around with picture settings. The picture was still fantastic - bright, crisp, great colors, awesome viewing angles and it had a million inputs/outputs. The reason I wanted to update to the TCL was to take advantage of 4K and HDR technology at some point and because the plasma was such a power hog. Pros: Attractive styling Typical easy Roku setup and remote Lightweight Low power consumption(less than a quarter of my old plasma) Good quality sound for average TV watching Price - especially for it being a QLED Sports and fast action are decent Cons: Terrible color/picture quality out of the box Not so great viewing angles Few inputs for old school connections Occasional jitter from random cable programs Maybe I just got a rare bad one but it's unacceptable that both the red and green tints are as far out of whack as they are especially with no instructions on how to correct them. White Balance and Colorspace are accessed only through the Roku app and there is no explanation whatsoever on a procedure to align them. If I hadn't found a post online on what settings someone else had used, I would have likely returned this TV. My factory settings were all 0's and were not even close to what I tried from the online recommendation. Maybe mine never got calibrated. Fortunately these settings straightened out the ridiculous flourescent reds, pinks, and greens, but it leaves me wondering if the picture could be even better if only TCL would unlock the mystery of how to fix it or better yet have it be correct out of the box. I'm not scared at all of technology and calibrations - I do it all day every day but it's kind of tough when the way to do it is kept a secret or requires a special tool like a colorimeter or something. Pretty much unacceptable. As far as gaming use, I can't speak to that as I'm not a gamer but it does sports pretty well so gaming might be ok as well, too.

Posted .Hi Carjunkie,
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. There are options available to adjust the picture settings to better fit your personal preference. You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The Roku mobile app works as a remote and allows you to access additional features like voice search, private listening, expert picture settings, and more. Additionally, if you have a supported device, you can utilize the IPQ Engine App to help calibrate the TV. You can visit https://www.tclusa.com/blog/ipq-engine-calibration-app for more information. Hope this helps & happy viewing!
Thank you,
Sara

A very good TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the price point, this is an excellent TV. It's certainly not as eye popping as some QLEDs that cost over $1000 or more, but at just over $500, there are times that I am watching it and the picture just blows you away. But those moments really depend on the quality of what is on and the streaming connection, etc. Overall all, I don't think you could go wrong with this TV if you are looking for a consistently outstanding picture that doesn't come at a stupid price point. Also, the built in Roku interface is so simple. I didn't think I would like it at first, but this is as smooth as it gets.

Beautiful picture and easy set up
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had previously owned the TCL 55R617 which unfortunately didn't survive a move (cracked the screen) which isn't a warranty event, so I needed a replacement, and instead of the same model, even though on sale -- I opted for the QLED/2019 model instead. Keeping the same functionality as the older 2018 model, but wow nice upgrade in picture quality with the QLED -- especially HDR, incredibly vivid picture. To top it off, after my purchase date, this set went on sale and I contacted support and received the difference back within minutes. Great product, and excellent service as well. Highly recomment

Believe the hype
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After lots of research using CNET I went with this T.V. As their 2019 Editor Choice it is an absolute beauty. The picture and HDR is fantastic. The build quality is phenomenal having all metal components. Turned off as just a decor piece it’s beautiful. It looks like a 1k T.V. My only complaint is there is no 58” or 60” option as 65” is too big for my space. But otherwise the picture quality made sticking with another 55” totally fine. I game with this T.V and it is great. If you’re on the fence, This T.V seems to be the best in its price range at the time of this review.

Great value!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roku has a terrific user interface. Fast, intuitive, and easy to customize. I do however wish it didn't have to be infrared / line of sight however. My other wifi remotes are convenient when holding in my lap, etc. As for the TV itself, I like the brightness and thin bezel and the ability to turn off standby LEDs. However, I haven't been able to soften the reds. They're still a bit much for me. Oh and great experience unpacking and setting up. Very easy.
