This is a great TV, especially when on a budget. Things like local dimming are not that common in TVs in this price point so if you want good dark room movie watching on a budget this is your go to. Pros: Great dark room performance due to a decent local dimming implementation Solid HDR performance, especially at the price, I think the whole Quantum Dot thing is over hyped as the TV to my eye only seems a little brighter than last years and colors about the same. Roku while not as intuitive and fast as other smart tvs has way more developer support than anyone else out there Cons: Still a 60hz screen, tested it and can confirm that TCL is still using a 60hz native screen. Don't believe any companies motion garbage you will still get jutter from the 3 2 pull down effect on any 60hz screen. I have heard the 8 will have a 120 but the thing is at the price that will be I might as well buy an OLED for a little more. Viewing angles, I mean it is a VA panel so I was not expecting something amazing but TCL did not seem to improve it to the level of other VA panels Other: While I did not see any on ours TCL has been known to have uniformity issues causing a dirty screen effect or banding. I have heard this is getting better so maybe the issue is resolved this year but I figured I should mention this. Also I have heard their customer service is less than amazing but that is true of most when you are having issues. As a brand I think TCL is doing a lot right and while there are growing pains I think they have now dethroned Vizio as the best value brand. In conclusion if this is your price point get this TV unless you are sitting more than 20% off angle, then I would maybe look at LG but note at this price TCL gives a clearly better picture when dead on. But if you have more budget going an OLED is going to net you perfect blacks and amazing viewing angles and is in my opinion those are the best TVs out there, and the Q80/Q90 are going to do much better with glare if you have direct sunlight. But those TVs are going to be double the cost of this TV. After seeing this TV I am curious what they do with the 8 series, I think its price is a little odd since it is do close to the price of OLED TVs. But if I think they do some good sales on both the 6 & 8 series TCL is set up for another year of success. TL;DR: Its the best movie experience at this price point, but there is better out there despite the feverish hype for this TV.

Great TV overall. Easy to use and display is great. Got everything you really need. I have had the TV for over 4 years and have had no problems.

Was waiting for this TV to release, was eyeing the 2018 model but decided to wait for this one and glad I did. QLED technology included at this price point is fantastic. Blacks are deep, bright TV with great color. For the gamers out there the input lag is very low and it shows when playing call of duty/rocket league etc. I had no issued playing FPS games. All in all, a great bargain at $600, I wish I would've been able to purchase from best buy but they received the TV a few weeks after amazon, best buy did come and mount this TV and it's great. Great premium looking material on the outside and a thin bezel to boot.

Pretty much the best bang for your money. Had it a few years now and have no complaints. Might not be bright enough for direct bright light exposure viewing but other than that is good to go.

I've had the TV for 3 years with no problems. The roku operating system is easy to use and the best operating system I've used on a tv.

For the price it's a steal and a great picture, easy to use, and solid build quality.

Purchased the television a few months ago. First off, I would like to say the picture quality is fantastic. The television is easy to navigate, and it has a ton of great options. I started off really loving the television at first. However, after about a month, I began having connectivity issues with the internet. These were random at first, then it picked up in frequency last month to the point that it disconnects every few days. Another issue I have experienced with the Tv, it turns on by itself at various times. This has occured in the middle of the night. From all the research I have done, it looks like this issue documents back as far as 2018. May not be the same television model, but people have been complaining about this very same issue with no resolve. I would seriously consider a different television. I was forced to unplug the television tonight to reset, now it wont turn on. Beyond frustrated with this product. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

I've owned this television for about three months thus far it's been great..The 2019 6 series with QLED and local dimming is hard to beat.. The color and picture quality is great.. I honestly recommend you check out this television for yourself..

About the only thing I don't like about this tv is the "feet" that are at the very end of the tv so it takes a lot of space. I do not want to hang it on the wall. Its an old house and I don't think the wall will hold it.

I returned my original purchase because it kept turning on by itself and not because I rolled over on the remote or anything - it's a bedroom set. This would happen after being gone all day etc... Also, it started disconnecting from the internet almost daily when my other sets did not. My second set so far is much improved - 1 week. I am very pleased with the picture and the Roku operating system. 5 stars without the quality control issues I ran into!

Beautiful picture quality. Paired it withe Roku speakers and subwoofer - awesome combination of fantastic picture and sound. Enjoyed for the past 6 months. Was watching "A Christmas Story" with family visiting from FL on Christmas Day and the picture goes black but sound is still on. Of course, no one from TCL Customer Service is working on Christmas, so we are without TV for the day - no big deal. Call next day and they walk me through several TV reset attempts - nothing works. Then comes the good news - I will receive an e-mail confirmation in 48 hours from their Service department that they have my case. They will attempt to schedule service for the TV in my home hopefully within 7-10 days after I receive the e-mail, and after they confirm they have the parts to repair. Will be without my TV (also used for radio/Pandora) for at least two weeks and the entire length of my family's visit. Merry Christmas from TCL!!! Had recommended this set to may friends because of the picture quality - now must warn those friends from making the same mistake.
