    There is heavy lag when using apps via Wi-Fi and a hard-wired connection (Sling TV, Amazon Video). I use a Harmony universal remote, and this tv model is not compatible. I've used the remote on 8+ TVs and never had any issues. I think this TV is a specific model that they use for black fridays only aka cheap parts. I got this on sale during Black Friday and will keep it simply for that reason. You will need a streaming device if you get this TV to enjoy your experience (to avoid the lag) even though it is a smart TV. Spend a little more to get something you will enjoy for the next few years

    Worse purchase I have made. The remote did not Work , it would not turn off, looked blurry. I returned it and bought a Samsung.

    This TV is terrible. We switched from a 10-year-old Roku TCL to this brand new Fire TCL thinking that our TV was acting up some due to age. This new one is sooooo much worse than the old one. I also hate the platform. It is not user friendly at all.

    Software is so bad, freezing, slowdowns, audio playing after shutdown. Definitely worth the price since it was the cheapest TV at this size but it was honestly a bad purchase.

    Worst TV Ever

    This is easily the worst TV I have ever owned, by far. It constantly to lags. Most apps shut down after trying to open them. It’s only a matter of time. Some of it may be Amazon Fire. It’s hard to say. It may be a combination of the two. Even trying to adjust the volume barely works. It usually takes about 20 seconds to change on the TV after pressing the volume button. After turning off the TV, the sound remains playing for approximately 10 seconds or so. There’s honestly an endless list of issues with this TV. Do not recommend.

    The tv remote wouldn’t sync so I had to return it. I called the TCL 800 number to try and remedy the situation and I was told by their representative to return the tv

    You get what you pay for. This set is garbage. Not expensive, Black Friday purchase. I reset the TV to factory settings, then the TV went into a death spiral, just showing the startup screen and never moving to the setup. Just 4 months after buying it. Complete waste of money. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these cheap low end “4k” TVs.
