    Random Black Screen and Poor Picture Quality

    I've owned this TV for about a month now and it hasnt been a good experience so far. Randomly, the screen will go black and sometimes after that, the picture becomes horrible. I then have to turn it Off and the back On, so that picture quality resets. These issues occur every time we turn it on. The firmware on the TV is up to date, so I'm not sure why these issues are occurring. I've reached out to Best Buy, but since they only have a 15 day return policy, there was nothing they could do. My next step is to contact TCL directly to see if they can resolve the issue or replace the TV with one that works.

    Do not buy this TCL tv

    Do not buy. Second tv of this kind because of same issue. First one was replaced because of same issue. While watching a program it just goes to the Home Screen whenever. So now you cannot watch any program fully because it just goes back to Home Screen and then you have to go back to your program in order to watch it. Looked online and tried every suggestion to fix but it doesn’t fix it. Have another brand tv with same os and it never doe what this tv does. TCL needs to find a fix and produce better quality TVs. Very disappointed with TCL. First time buying a TCL tv and won’t buy another one. Waste of money and time. Do not buy this tv.

    Terrible software on this TV

    TV is very poor quality, if I can't find a way to improve the software I will return it. I will open an app and start playing a show or movie, the TV will freeze, or will play while showing no image, only sound, and will often boot me out of the app and back to the home screen, where I will have to re-open the app, and then re-start my show from the beginning, as progress was not saved. It does this constantly. Also picture looks great from straight ahead, but gets very washed out when watching from an angle.

    software bugs at setup

    out of the box it had some bugs and wouldnt boot correctly to setup screen. kept getting errors. had to reset it a few times for it to function corrently

    Decent tv, especially for the price. Slightly harder user interface than most. Processing power is a little slow. Still worth it for the cost.

    This TV has an ok picture but has been cutting on randomly and going back to the menu randomly while watching something. Maybe it's just this unit but I wouldn't recommend just based off that

    Quality not as good as expected and a few times the tv just dim for no reason and I can’t undo it unless I uplift it for a while then plug it back

    Not bad for what you pay for if you got it on sale. It has a delay when navigating through the menu. Also doesn’t have much of options when trying to play around with the picture color.

    I bought the tv to use as a gaming monitor but it is terrible for my use. the image latency is very slow and unresponsive even with the tv tuned to be as fast as possible. image quality is very poor and blotchy, not sure how to describe it but it looks smeared. I have another 55" lcd screen that I use that looks good and is responsive. I bought this tv for under $200, for the price I cant complain too much. but wait for a sale or buy something better.

    Smaller than described

    I own a 55 inch TV and this one is 5 inches smaller so I feel I got the wrong TV in the right box? It was sale for cheap and didn’t have time to return so I own it now

    It's OK. Sometimes the screen goes black even though the tv is still on. We fix it by unplugging it. It's kinda disappointing because we've only had it a few months.

    Purchased this tv as a gift for my mother. Great price cant complain there but its extremely slow processing makes it hard to use. The picture quality is also sub par.

    Best buy sucks!

    Sound is horrible. Have to go to 100 and use my bose surround sound which doesn't make much better. Also switching to over the air channels (abc,nbc, cbs, or pbs) from fire channels takes forever and the audio from fire or apps keeps going on the next channel. Worst tv ever!!! Plus,,, if you have a problem they(best buy) wants you to ship it back or return it yourself to a store! Not buying from best buy ever again!!!
