Known network adapter issue.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this tv since December 2017 and it has worked flawlessly since then until now. The built in wireless adapter is dead, it will not pick up any wireless networks and the MAC address turns to all zeros. This is a known issue with the wireless adapters on these tv’s and to fix it you need to send it back to TCL, not worth it if tv is out of warranty like me. Since I do not have access to ethernet near this tv I just added a 4K fire stick. I just won’t have access to Roku apps anymore and will have to use the apps an the fire stick, which is absolutely fine, I prefer the layout better. Just beware this most likely will become an issue if you get this TV. I cannot recommend this tv based on this issue, go another route if you want to avoid this problem. There are many other budget tv’s out there. There is a way to fix this issue yourself if you want to take the tv apart and solder a ground wire on to the network adapter housing, this will fix the issue, look for some tutorials online.

Waste of Money

Now 18 months later, just outside of warranty, the TV is dead. Stick with the big brands (LG, Samsung, Sony), saving a few bucks isn’t worth having to replace the TV in under 2 years. I gave it one star because it was a good TV while it lasted.

This TCL Roku TV can be mounted with any compatible wall mounting using a 200mm by 200mm VESA mounting pattern. Sometime, depending on the type of mount, you may want to utilize the spacers that the mount supplied to help the TV sit better.

Not the best picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It is a fine tv for the price, and the roku has never given any issues, but unfortunately I have found the picture quality very poor, especially since this is supposed to be 4k. my 720p Vizio has better picture quality. The blacks look more like grays, and if there is even a little glare/sunlight, it becomes more difficult to see.

Black screen in less than 2 years

I found instructions on how to reset it to bring it back up however unfortunately this didn't work on mine. But apparently this is a common thing for LED televisions. They sure don't make them like they used to.

The picture quality is average. It really does not show as clear of other 4k brands and models. I bought it because the sales person says it shows as good as a Sony tv. Well, It does not but that is ok. So if you are looking for a budget friendly 55 inch , then this is your deal. Everything is excellent on the tv.
