    I don’t see the difference between 4K and 1080 p. Maybe it’s the brand.

      Hi Buds,

      There are options available to adjust the picture settings to better fit your personal preference. You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The Roku mobile app works as a remote and allows you to access additional features like voice search, private listening, advanced picture settings, and more. Also remember that if you are watching content that is not 4K, the TV is upscaling the picture. For best picture quality, you would want to view content that is native 4K resolution.     A year and a half and the screen went out on this TV. Do not buy! Lots of similar stories online of the LED Backlight going out. Also had frequent software issues throughout it's short life.

    The remote is hard to use and the TV loses the internet signal a lot. Wish I had gotten a different brand.

      Hi Heath,

      While watching a show or movie you can change the picture settings to better suit that specific content. By pressing the asterisk (*) button on your TCL Roku Remote it will open the Options menu, and you can change settings like TV brightness, Picture Mode, and access Advanced picture settings. Additionally, if you download the free Roku mobile app you will gain access to more features and settings to help adjust the TV to your personal preference. Happy viewing!

    DO NOT buy this TV.. I purchased it new at my local Best Buy store with a Geek Squad protection plan. Less then 3 months go buy and I have horizontal green line in the tv. I called the geek squad service. they can not help me and pass me onto the factory service! They had me on hold for over an hour. sent 4-5 photos plus a online photo of my proof of purchase, from Best Buy showing the Geek Squad purchase and they are still stalling on replacing/ and or fixing it. Buy a real Name Brand!

    TV was fine until picture and audio died just a couple weeks past 2 yrs, of ownership....when the warranty was no longer effective. The company wouldnt give credit towards new TV. out of luck. Will try purchase of new Samsung TV.

    It is a 4K TV but the upscaling on it is terrible. If you are someone that watches 1080 HD all the time this is not the TV for you. I streamed 4K content and the picture was good but everything else was below average. Lots of other TVs out there with better picture quality

    The low price was the major factor in my purchase of this TV. The picture quality is fair, wish that it was better. Major annoyance is that when the TV is powered on, it doesn't automatically display the last used input, the preferred input must be selected.

      Sorry that you missed it… Simply go to settings/system/power from your home screen, and they are you could have the TV power up to the home screen, your last used input , or any active input. Hope that improves your enjoyment of the TV! Thanks, TCL support

    The control board went out 6 months after purchasing it! Geek squad took 3 weeks to complete an easy fix, I don't even know why I paid extra for Geek squad. They also gave me a used control board with another person's information on it! I will not go to best buy again to buy a tv! Extremely unhappy!

    It was good while it lasted. After the original warranty it started to black out. The only repair center is in India. Now awaiting for my Samsung to arrive ( yes, I purchased an extended warranty this time!).

    I bought this TV in March 2018. With average of 2 hours of daily use TV display stopped working. I can still hear the audio but no video. I did hard reset the TV, took out power code for 5 minutes and plugged it back, no luck. The TV is out of warranty so now I’m going to throw it away and would not buy TCL product again.

    Really liked this TV but after 2 and a half years there is now a solid green line on the screen. Don't expect a budget TV to last 3 years I guess. Will probably have to scrap for parts.
