    I was a little leery about purchasing this TV. I had never heard of TCL brand before but for only $400 bucks for a 4K TV with HDR (High Dynamic Range), I thought what could it hurt give it a try. I was blown away. I do have to say that I upgraded from a 50 inch Samsung Plasma I have had for a long time. I was worried that it would not be able to keep up with watching football games and playing video games but I was pleasantly surprised. I currently play on an Xbox one and have preordered the xbox one x (native 4k resolution) and so far the graphics are beautiful and at 120hz it has no trouble keeping up with games like Madden 18 or Call of Duty IW. The remote is a tad on the small side and the TV always boots up to the home screen instead of Automatically going to the selected input (only a minor inconvenience but seems like it can be fixed). So far I've had the TV for about a week and have tested it as much as time will allow and it has been great. I will follow up after the new Xbox arrives with how well it can handle the additional power and display capabilities.

    Amazing TV in my opinion. This was my first 4K TV and honestly, as a hardcore gamer, I couldn't be happier. Many of the reviews will berate the sound quality, though since I am almost always using a gaming headset, I can't offer a valid opinion on this. It is an absolute beauty of a picture though. Another thing that must be mentioned is that this TV IS HDR. For some reason, this is never mentioned when advertised, but it literally states ON THE BOX that it is. Just thought I would clear that up.

    Bought this as open box got it home and nothing worked. The screen flickered on them immediately went out. Not interested in open box anymore best buy is horrible at selling refurbished items that don't work.

    Black screen with sound (it seems to be a super common issue with TCL). Tried all the resetting explained online but it still doesn't work. Total waste of money since the 1yr warranty is over. DO NOT BUY TCL!

    I have only had this TV a short while and there are two permanent red lines on the screen. I will need to return the TV..very disappointed.

    Mother board or the TCON crashed today. Manufacturer only carries a 6 month warranty. Lasted just over a year. Very disappointing.

    I bought this TV because the sales agent recommended it. I so regret it...i went out within 6 months and I didn't get insurance. they said the led bulbs went out.

    This is an inexpensive TV. There is a reason for this. VERY POOR product, A total waste of time and money!!! Send them BACK TO CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    When I opened the box and put the feet on the TV and sat it on my TV stand and turned it on...the screen had a HUGE crack down the top of it! Had to take it back and exchanged it for an LG brand.

      Sorry your set arrived damaged and Sorry that concealed damage on our tv made you feel the need to go to another brand. Damage in carton can happen to any brand. In fact, TCL TVs have a defect rate lower than the industry standard. Hopefully you’ll consider us in the future.

    Bought this TV June 2018. November 2020 turned it on one day and nothing, it stopped working. Didn't even get three years out of it.

    I write reviews very rarely, but I feel like I had to for this TV. I paid $399 for a 55inch LED TV with HDR*. Sure, its 60Mhz but still looks amazing. Roku is a great addition to it, no complaints. (NOTE: Best Buy website says it doesn't have HDR -- but the box shows HDR support on it and the model number on TCL's website also shows HDR).
