    Lasted less than 2 years and now unrepairable. may times would black out but turn back on, Tv should last more than 2 years.

    Started off great and then died

    I was so pleased with this tv that I bought a second. And then, the first tv flipped out. It shows only half of the picture and has lines going through the other half or just a black screen for that half. Sometimes the half picture is upside down. I tried resetting the factory settings but that did not fix the problem.

    TV died in less than 3 years

    Good tv performance but gave out in less than 3 years. LED backlight failure is a common problem for this brand. Of course it fails after the 1 year warranty so TCL wont do anything for you. I will not buy another TCL tv. They are the cheapest option but you get what you pay for. TVs should last at least 5 years, it's a porr job on the part of the manufacturer.

    Got this tv for Christmas 2021 and Sunday it gave me rainbow colors and then went black and won't comeback on.. Reach out to TCL for factory warranty and was requested to take a picture of Tv, outlet and receipt.. Now I'm being told it could take up to 5-10 days before I could get a technician out to LOOK at Tv.. Unacceptable

    Listen to the negative reviews. These TVs function well.....for a short time. Then they go out, usually right after the one year window, and the company is a freaking nightmare to work with. They simply don't care that their product has no shelf life. They got theirs and screw you the customer. Avoid.

    I bought the TV in August 2018. I liked the TV everything worked great. Easy to navigate. Then exactly 3 years later tried to turn it on and nothing. I did all of the trouble shooting but still will not turn on. The average life of TV's is supposed to be 5-7 years. This TV only lasted 3 years. Very Disappointed.

    Just here to add to the ever growing Train of black screen of death customers who purchased this sad Fake television. I feel just the same as being lied to by the fake news media touting about how great a deal this tv is and how phony those reviews are after 2 years time!! Garbage television just as garbage as this garbage President

    Yep my wonderful little TV only lasted 15 months.. my how time flies it seems like it was only yesterday that I walked out happy as a clam and now today I'm 2 months and 20 days out of warranty and now my TCL 55" is a boat anchor.. now I'm going to have to buy a boat..

    Tv image is a times only half of the tv or a times just dark with only audio. I need to constantly reboot the TV.

    Horrible tvs

    Warning!!! ⚠️ ⚠️!! Tcl TVs are very bad!! I bought a brand new 65 inch 11/2019. The picture went out within a year, had it repaired, and now in 10/2021 it had gone out again and I was told sorry it's out of warranty. Tcl TVs last about a year if you are lucky!! Please beware!!!

    Bought 1 brand new and immediately returned for damaged screen. Got one without screen damage, but it stopped reading the antenna signal 4 days later. Terrible product, don't waste your time.

    Don’t buy it’s terrible

    This tv is terrible. Out the box I had a light that came on but no picture. TCL customer service is horrible and they did nothing to assist me. They advised me to take it to a tv repair shop. To fix it is more than the tv costs. Online there are multiple reviews about the same issue.

    Stay Away

    TV was working fine. Then one day the volume just started turning up on its own. Googled it and found out I may have to replace the computer board in the back of the TV. TV is only a year old and one month pass warranty.

    Get What You Pay For

    DO NOT BUY TCL products. Dirt cheap, very low quality. Th 55S401 lasted a few months past the 1 year warranty and died. If you buy this expect to have to buy another TV in about 1 year.

    Waste of money

    Less than a year old and won't turn on. 6 month warranty. Spend a little more and get a better quality tv

    The only TV I would never buy again

    After 6months sound stopped working. Have to unplug it for 3min to get it to come back. After 1 year its getting worse. 1.5yrs looses sound cuts in and out almost every other time you turn it on.

    Bought this TV almost 3 1/2 years ago and TV suddenly went black. If you buy it make sure you buy the extended warranty.
