But I haven't even had the t.v. a yr and the volume is going all the way up on it's own. When I'm in certain apps. The tv takes on a mind of its it's own and takes over the remote. I feel like I wasted my money.

Good TV for the price

Probably the case on most smart TV's, but I don't like the fact that you have to select input after you turn it on rather than defaulting to last used. As a result, I have to use the TV remote to turn it on and select input. Then I can switch to my Tivo remote. Not a huge deal, but means I need 2 remotes instead of just one with my previous non-Smart TV.

TCL NO LONGEVITY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After 2 years of ownership, I would not recommend buying this TV without an extended warranty. Yesterday turning channels the screen went black. I went through all the troubleshooting tips and ticks, the screen was still black. Today, I called TCL customer service support and went through the same troubleshooting, screen still black. Long story short here, it's the LCD lighting that has blown. After reading several reviews YouTube, Better Business Bureau, this "black screen" is a known issues with this TV and others. Shame after 2 years of use and $350 spent, the TV done! My 10 year old "42in Insignia that I replaced with this TCL is still working. My tv is out of warranty, so I'm out of luck to get any sort of fix or replacement from TCL. I did try, but they just gave me a "sorry your tv is out of warranty. So, I guess the other 4 TCL TV's I have in my house, will be out of luck too, if they suffer the same issue. Just buy the extended warranty is you decide to buy this TCL TV.

I love this TV

I have been very happy with my choice since the purchase. Speakers could be louder but I have surround sound so it doesn't really matter to me. Plenty of hookups for different items to be connected. The tv has been working perfectly and I have had no issues with internet connections. Looking forward to using this for years to come.

Affordable 4K, but at a price.

Many people don't understand that you have to have a large enough viewing area to even appreciate 4K resolution. To that end the panel delivers quite nicely. The issues I have are with Rokus smart features. I am using this in a exercise room with a computer with iTunes loaded so I'm not constrained to Roku viewing apps.
