Good TV...until it wasn't

I thought I was getting a really good deal. The picture was nice, the OS was responsive, the remote and app very easy to use as well. So why the one star? Well, less than a year after I bought it, it stopped working. It no longer displayed picture. The issue is most likely it needs new backlights, maybe a new motherboard, or both. If you look online, a lot of people had similar issues. I contacted TCL directly and they were giving me the runaround so I gave up. I still have the TV, maybe someday I'll fix it. I've been using my 10+ year old Samsung Plasma since then. It's old but it gets the job done. No fancy HD for the moment though
