Great tv for the price!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the tv! The sound quality isn't that great, like any other tv. Will need to invest in a sound bar, but otherwise I have no complaints.

Disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At least it still turns on. Bought this TV less than 2 years ago and it has been a supreme pain. The first issue we came across was that I wasn't able to screen mirror my phone, which was a letdown since we had only just moved into our apartment and didn't have internet set up yet, meaning we were stuck watching what we could catch over the airwaves. All was well for almost a year, then the sound just stopped out of the blue. I tried everything to get it to come back on and eventually got a soundbar since I assumed the speakers had just blown out. The next day I unplugged and replugged the power cord and that fixed it. This has been a recurring issue along with a weird echoing. Luckily these are solvable with an unplug so far but still extremely annoying. What prompted me to write a review today was the sudden loss of picture: we selected a show to watch on Netflix after a Batman marathon and suddenly the screen was green with sound but no picture. Unplugged yet again and it seems fine now. I don't recommend getting this TV unless you like interrupting a Netflix binge to fumble around with cords.

excellent entry level 4k tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all do not be put off by entry level comment , it is just that this TV should not be compared to OLED,QLED or high end LCD TVs as they do have better picture quality but also cost at least 3 times as much. This TV is in the same range as Samsung 7100series or LG 6300 series TVs. I have been using this TV for nearly a month now and have found its performance and quality to be excellent for the price. Here are some pros and cons of this model. Pros. Excellent contrast . Wide color gamut bright and vivid colors. Good motion handling (55” model) of sports and movies. Very good black and gray uniformity . very good up scaling from spectrum cable over the air antenna and streaming sources. Very good range of picture and color settings. some settings can only be accessed from Roku app on phone, tablet. Very good picture quality. Roku interface is clean simple to use and fast. Internet connections on both wireless and Ethernet are completely stable with zero issues. Zero issues with HDR content on HDR10 or Dolby Vision. HDMI ARC works perfectly, I have a Samsung soundbar set up with zero issues. Cons some very slight light bleed but not noticeable when watching content just on test screens. Viewing angle is not great but is typical of all VA panels from all manufacturers, it is an issue with that type of panel. Sound is not the greatest but again that's typical and an issues with thinner flat panel TVs not just this one. Remote is small and the volume buttons on side can be easy to hit by mistake but not a big problem. Brightness in HDR could be better but for the price is not bad and marvel movies for example look awesome on this. Overall I have been very impressed with this purchase and the few cons do not take away from the fact that this a a very good TV and well worth the money. I have watched sports movies and TV shows all with very good picture quality, sharp image and vivid color. Just keep your expectations reasonable as this is not a $1500+ top of the line TV, it is a great value TV though.

Good picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The stands for the TV is made of plastic and a little flimsy. Seems it would be a little difficult to mount on wall due the the bottom half is wider.

Posted .Hi Eric,
All TCL Roku TVs can be wall mounted using compatible mount. This TV has a VESA mounting pattern of 200mm by 200mm. Most mounts also come with spacers to better accommodate TVs with a wider bottom. Hope this helps.
Happy Viewing!

Had to return
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this TV and got it set up. The smart features were awesome and the picture was great. However after mounting the TV to a tilting wall mount the HDMI ports were not working. I tried two cables on 3 different pieces of equipment. Boxed it back up and took it back to the store. Exchanged it for a different brand. The guys at the store plugged the HDMI into it and their equipment worked fine and showed a picture. I can only deduce that by mounting the TV to a tilting wall mount the HDMI cables I used were getting pinched against the wall and causing it not to have a picture. Same cables and equipment worked fine on my new other brand TV, the only difference is the design on the back of the new one allowed the cables to fall freely behind the TV, where the TCL backing did not allow this.

Posted .Hi Mellykill,
This is definitely unusual as the mounting of the TV should not affect the functionality of the ports. It is curious that in testing, Best Buy was able to get the ports to work appropriately. Given the opportunity, we would have liked to look into this to better understand what was occurring with the TV to cause this odd behavior. This is definitely not a common occurrence among our customers or our TVs. Best of luck and happy viewing!
Thank you,
