First of all the process was great upon purchasing tv. I was worried about the banding issue others were having but upon receiving and setting up my tv all is good! The best purchase I have ever made,awesome picture and great tv.

My set came with no vertical banding and looks great. The colors pop, watching 4k movies is awesome, and streaming non 4k stuff looks great. Great price for a TV better than sets almost twice as much! Love it. Glad i bought mine.

This is a very impressive tv! I was equally shocked that the sound was nearly as loud if not louder than my new soundbar ( Which I may return). The picture quality is beautiful and very enjoyable. I woud recommend!

Easy setup and use. Roku works flawlessly and picture is great! Internal speakers are lacking but I purchased a sound bar so that's a non issue for me. Fantastic tv for the price and would recommend.

Picture is great and the smart interface is very quick and intuitive. Flaws: 1) four corners are noticeable dimmer than the rest of the screen. About 1-2 inches from each corner are dim - not sure if this is normal but mine has been this way since day 1 2) TV wont control my vizio sound bar. All control of sound bar must be done manually. If I pause a movie and walk away for 10 minutes my sound bar goes to sleep. I have a 2yr old LG tv that integrates with my vizio sound bar and allows it to act like a native speaker. Very inconvenient

I originally purchased this TV on Nov 17th. I had returned it on Nov 24th, just one week later because the TV randomly shuts off for no reason. This happens every 1-2 days. I thought it was overheating but the TV stays on after I power it back on again. I've checked online for similar issues and it seems like TCL has an issue with their TVs randomly powering off. I'm doing my best to give them some faith, but it's starting to diminish. I've contacted Roku and TCL about this matter. Roku tells me to talk to TCL. I've been in contact with TCL via email about this and all they were able to tell me is that there should be a software update that should fix this soon. I've been waiting for about a week and there is no software update in site. The picture quality is beautiful, for the price. If you're on a budget there are other better choices. If you can spend an extra $100, the Vizio P Series is a better choice. Because of my experience with TCL and having two of their TVs randomly shut off I'm going to switch over to the Vizio's P Series. It's on sale now and has better quality for the price. I'm sure I'm going to get a response from TCL on this board to contact their support team. I've already done that. All they did was take down my info and created a case. Currently TCL tells me they're working with Roku and understand if I want to return the TV. Also they mentioned that this issue should be resolved by 12/17/19. I don't want to wait that long for a fix. I'm quite disappointed that this has gone as far as it did. This TV had great potential to be the best budget TV out there. But I guess you get what you pay for.

I decided to play the screen lottery; Surprise I lost. The good-I experienced some of the greatest up-scaling from 720, and twitch streams imaginable, and the UI swell. Please take in mind This is the first 4k TV I have had ample time with(I am upgrading from a 1080 lg). The bad- It started with a quick flicker and extended to a full out static screen. Seriously how did this happen... quality seems to be the issue. I contacted TCL they were ready to send a repair tech, but gave me to the option to replace it at the physical store. I will be doing this... I really want this TV to work out, so ill give it the 3 strike mentality.

Upgraded from the 5 series. Completely worth it. The local LED zone brightness really sets it apart. Much better picture than my old Vizio. Given that it's under $600 you really can't go wrong.

Excellent picture from all angles. Sound quality is decent but pairs well with a wireless sound system.

Usually can't stand the smart tv functions, but the roku is so well integrated I couldn't reccomend it more. Picture quality and low latency make this a great bang for your buck.

This is my second go-around with a TCL 6 Series, the first being a 65" that was too big for my space and had to return. The 55" is a great value for the price, with excellent HDR quality and great features for a sub-$700 TV... when it works. I don't have the vertical banding or vignetting issues that other reviewers seem to have experienced, but my TV has problems loading only the first video after launching an app (especially bad with YouTube TV, and my prior 65" didn't have this issue) and a habit of crashing and power cycling itself 1-3 times per day when using the Roku software. This is needlessly frustrating, and a deal-breaker for me. Reviewers on Reddit and other sites seem to have the same issue I do, and I'm hoping it can be quickly solved with a firmware update before the holiday return window closes. If you can handle the famed TCL Panel Lottery others here have mentioned or are willing to deal with some seriously buggy firmware, then it delivers the absolute best picture for the price. For me, I'm going to be returning my second TCL TV to the store and strongly considering the Vizio P Series instead.

TV works as expected. Very easy set up. Roku is easy to use. I did have to take some time to set up the picture as out of the box everything was very bright (like a soap opera).

I purchased this 4k TCL 6 series after reading some reviews. My only concern was some mention of horizontal bands being seen. I've been pleased that I have not run into that issue at all. This tv has provided all that I expected out of a 4k tv. I'm surprised at how well older shows/movies look with the upscaling that happens. The only thing I would recommend is external sound. Like most TV's in this class, the goal is to make a unit as thin as possible. While the sound is not horrible, I will be connecting either the new Roku wireless speakers that are geared towards Roku TV sets or the recently released Sonos Beam soundbar.

No issues at all. We will see in time but picture is beautiful. TV bevel Edge is top notch! So far I may have lucked out and got a good none defective tv but only time will tell.

Did my research on best budget 4K tv and most led to this TV. Have had it for a month and has been great. Will gladly purchase again if I’m ever the market for a new Tv

Love this tv, the picture quality is excellent, the app menu is super easy and eye appealing, just an overall great tv and you can’t beat the price for what you get.

I bought this TV mainly to use with my PS 4 Pro and let me tell you, I could not have bought a better TV without breaking the bank. It just looks beautiful in my setting (which is somewhat dark), but I can see it being not that great in bright rooms. The response time is also an aspect that has me impressed. I am curretly playing Castlevania Simphony of the Night and there is no noticeable input lag. If you are on the verge of getting a new TV consider this option.

great tv.. excellent picture. sound requires work but I have a soundbar. installation and set up was simple.. able to add channels the Roku part is fantastic

this is an amazing tv for the money. Get one if you still can!
