    Ten days after this set was delivered to my home the set made a very loud pop, the screen went black and that was it. I was lucky in that the set was under 15 days old so Best Buy is sending a replacement. I may not be so lucky next time. I have no confidence in TCL or it's products.

    Banding issues!

    I'm bummed out about the tcl r615. The first r615 had banding issues that reviewers talked about (vertical grey or dark lines seen during motion.) I swapped out for another r615 only to find same problem! I gave tcl a second chance because last years p605 that I purchased has been great! No banding issues. I will be returning the r615 for a refund and may NEVER buy a tcl again!

    Tv shuts off and on. No customer service. DONT BUY

    Bought this new from Best Buy less than two years ago. Tv turns itself off and on constantly. Can’t navigate at all from the home screen without the tv powering down. UNACCEPTABLE for a $650 TV at the time of purchase. Talked to Jeff badge 3130 at tcl. They don’t care and won’t do anything for me. Buy a better brand like Vizio. Horrible customer experience and service.

    Crashes on every app from day 1

    It seems most people have a good experience with this product but mine was a disappointment from the very beginning. Simply put, it cannot stream any app - including its own introductory video. It would open an app and then less than a minute in crap out - black screen, no audio. I attempted various troubleshooting recommendations to no avail. Obviously, the TV is defective but it's also just pretty "cheap" - the remote felt very light and tinny and the screen brightness would not respond to settings to make it darker. Just felt like a crap product.

    Screen stays black until hard restart

    Just 4 months out of warranty, it is starting to not turn on. Sound only, no picture. It comes back after unplugging and plugging back in, for now, but that doesn't work every time either. Doesn't matter how well anything else works if the screen won't come on.

    The banding comments are real

    Have had this TV for a few days now. After watching some football, the vertical banding issues many have described are definitely present. Once you notice it...you can't un-see it! I turned on a hockey game as well and it was clearly obvious. Would not recommend for sports viewers. I'll most likely be returning this for a different TV.

    TCL-55" class LED 6 series

    was a great tv for almost 2 years. Now it flickers on the left side. Read this is LED side of tv problem which is not worth fixing. Never had a LED tv have any problems like this. Won't buy TCL ever again

    I’ve had this TV for 4 years now but have always had issues with it, more so recently. Randomly turns off in the middle of a show or movie and restarts multiple times before it will stay on again. Every time i turn it on for the first time of the day, i have to reconnect to WiFi (router is in the same room) and it randomly started having a line run through the picture at the top of the screen without any physical damage being done to it whatsoever.

    I bought the tcl 55p605 in Feb. of 2018. The tag on the back of the tv stated that it was manufactured in Jan of 2018. Well it is early June of 2019 when the picture decides not to work any longer. I try all of the "remedies" with no results. I call TCL "support" for help, explain the issue (no picture/have sound/backlight working). They told me to unplug it for 30 seconds, plug it back in and power it up. Sorry I've only tried that about 30 times already!! They then tell me that a tv that was only manufactured 15 months ago is passed it's warranty and that my best option now is to buy a new one! WHAT!?!?!?!

    Tech Support Says bad software

    So I purchased the 55R615 from Best Buy. Installed it, hooked it up and ran. After a few minutes, TV would randomly shut off. Upgraded my HDMI cables, did a factory reset, hooked up traditional Coaxial cable from cable box. Nothing...still randomly died numerous times at different times (from 5-45 minutes). Called Tech Support, and they said engineering confirmed bad software was sent out throughout the network. They had no idea when new software was going to be available. Tech guy (very helpful I might add) said worst case scenario, bring it back for a refund. I will be doing this because Best Buy has a 15 day return policy.

    Regret

    Bought this tv in febuary 2019 and it worked okay would randomly shut off once in awhile i shrugged it off. It is now May 2019 and i turned in to find a black blank tv with a color changing bar at the very top

    TCL 55R615 recurring issue

    Purchased a 55r615 from Best Buy in July of 2018. In Julu of 2019 the picture went out but had sound. TCL had some fly by night repair company come out and repair it with used parts. Three months later the exact same problem is back TCL said the warranty period is now passed and neither TCl or the Company that repaired it is covering the issue. So i am out of luck. Don't by TCL JUNK!!

    Nothing but problems

    Tv had lines in it , distorted , shut off on its own etc. Gaming was great. But movies and cable tv were horrible. I never buy cheap brands and this is why. At first i loved it , 16 hours later i returned it .

    Dead unit, does not turn on

    Fresh out of the box, the unit won't turn on. Now I have to box it up, load it up, and drive it in for an exchange. I knew this brand was going to have some slight compromises, but it can't even to manage QC to the level if the unit turns on or not.

    internal speakers glitchy and buzzing

    I paid the extra $$$ to get the "best" of the TCL line. Unfortunately, the $$$ didn't match the experience. It is very frustrating to be watching a show and all you can hear is the buzzing/vibration coming from the speakers.
