Easy to use, great picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn’t too sure when I got this tv since I had never heard of TCL. The price point was amazing and it had great reviews so I gave it a shot and I’m super happy I did. The picture is amazing and so easy to use with so many apps for streaming. I love it.

Good for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was planning on buying the P series about and 6 months ago but held off for CES to find out about the 6 series and after the reviews I held off and not have not been disappointed as of yet. I have not seen the vertical lines everyone is talking about but I will have to do more testing. I still have a few days to return if I'm having issues. This TV is going to save me $10 a month by getting rid of my cable box and use the spectrum app. Only big down fall on this tv it does not have channel buttons on the remote and makes the spectrum app different to navigate.

Best Value in 4K HDTV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV earned CNet Editor's award in 2018 for a reason. I owned an LG OLED TV before and although its picture quality was definitely better than this TV it cost 4 times as much and more importantly, it developed pixel burnout after 2 years. That burnout was impossible to ignore and I also read about similar problems with other LG OLED TVs. So I decided to replace that TV with a regular LED TV. After reading this TV's reviews and actually seeing its picture quality on display at the store, I was convinced that this is the best TV for money. Its picture quality is excellent for a non-OLED TV. Make sure you use the optimum picture settings provided by CNet or Consumer Reports first and then tweak it to your taste. You'll simply not find a better non-OLED TV than this, especially in this price range. Highly recommended.

Clear Picture with Great Colors
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4K is noticeably clearer than my older std.def. TVs. Colors are nicely auto-tuned: skin colors, nature colors, etc. Good brightness: bright with no halo-ing. Text is clear versus std.def because 4K shows text anti-aliasing.

Great picture for a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is great and a steal. The picture quality is really good, the Roku interface is very user friendly, and the fact that you can stream so many things in Dolby Vision through Roku is incredible, all for a great price. No vertical banding issues for me.

Great TV for under $600
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the tv just shy of two weeks now and I can say this is the best picture I've ever seen. The reviews online that state the tv is comparable to OLEDs and QLEDs are right. When I watched Thor: Ragnorok in 4K I could not believe the vivid sharp crisp colors that were not noticable on my old 1080p. I decided it was time to write this after watching a 1999 mini series and being amazed at how the 4:3 picture was so sharp and crisp. I have only noticed motion blurring on the old tv series when the camera panned. I have not noticed it in any of my gaming or more current movies and shows. My grandkids would get mad if I didn't mention that Teen Titans Go looks awesome when viewed on this tv. The tv is nice to look at and was easy to setup. The interface is ROKU and simple to use. I added a Fire TV Cube which works seamlessly. I highly recommend to everyone.

Excellent 4K HDR Tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading from last years p series, great improvement in peak brightness. HDR looks great way better design than the p series. I mostly use it to play games (ps4 pro) and to watch Netflix both look great on the tv highly recommend this tv.

Great picture but vertical banding issues are true
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some sites have this as one of their top picks this year. If you look at a lot of reviews here and elsewhere you'll find one of the main complaints is vertical banding, and it's true. I thought mine was ok until I started watching a hockey game and could see the lines as the camera panned across the ice. Apparently some people get lucky with ones that don't have the vertical banding, but just know it will be a risk you take with buying this tv. That being said before I came across a white background, the tv's picture was amazing for the price and the roku features were great. Unfortunately I couldn't deal with the banding and had to return it.

Has to be the best sub $1k 55"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want a great picture at a great price, this really is the one. The colors are great and the blacks defined. Roku is a bonus as well. Just buy it and if worried about the TCL brand, don't be. Ditch the big labels and just buy smarter.

Solid product for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall the tv looks great and is easy to use. I had great blacks but doesn’t handle motion well. If you are watching a lot of sports this might not be the tv for you. But if you watch mostly movies you will love it.

Great Cheap 4K picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When first looking at this TV I was skeptical at best. Reading reviews of how bad or how great the TV was, I must admit I must have won the panel roulet. In my case there is very little soap opera effect, very little to no banding and dark blacks and bright whites. 4k looks amazing and so does 1080P. Motion blur is a mess and makes everything look unnatural. Compared to other tvs in the same price range this one just looked better on the floor. Also compared to my first Samsung 4K Curved TV, this blows it out of the water. It was 5 years old by the way. If you want a replacement 4K tv and are upgrading from years past or are new to 4K you will love this tv but if you have a newer high end 4K and are looking for a tv, spend the money and get a more expensive tv.

This TV is my best purchase of 2018
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV on day one of release and have zero regrets. I upgraded from an 8 year old Philips 1080p LCD so the difference is huge...the level of detail and brightness is crazy. I'm not some TV-phile, but for $600, this TV was a steal.

Worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent tv. We installed it in a covered patio with a weather proof cover. Bright enough to watch and loud enough to hear. It looks slick and the picture quality is terrific. The Roku integration is useful. Very happy with this tv.

Great entry level 4K TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the title said, this is a good TV for a great price. It is no OLED, but it certainly does the job. The HDR support is good with Dolby Vision, giving a little bit more contrast to picture for supported content. I just finished watching the Punisher series on Netflix and I think the TV really helped bring it to life. I never actually used the speakers on the TV, so I can't say anything on that. I have mine connected to some external speakers using ARC and am pretty happy with how smooth it works. If you're looking to take a swim into the 4K pool and see what it's all about without breaking the bank, then give this TV a try and you won't regret it. If you're looking for the best of the best, this may not be for you.

Good TV for economy HDR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already owned a higher end Samsung LED with HDR so I am familiar with the 4K HDR with a panel that can really showcase the HDR. I read great reviews about this being affordable but also being bright enough for proper HDR implementation. However I did not like the Roku interface as the main GUI for the TV and I felt the screen looked unevenly backlit. It was bright but suffered from the Dirty Screen Effect. I ultimately returned it and will wait to buy a higher end HDR screen when I have the money. I can't say this a bad TV for the money as many would have loved it....but I am particular and it wasn;t good enough for my needs.

Great TV for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased as a TV for gaming and it has been great. The HDR makes the games look great and when the TV is put into game mode it has a really low input lag which help with competitive gaming.
