Excellent TV for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't expect OLED quality or TV thickness and you won't be disappointed. This is a great set for a budget 4k/hdr TV. I love the fact that it is extremely snappy with the basic roku interface and it uses 5Ghz wifi to give great internet speeds, not needing an ethernet connection. Dolby vision is used for Netflix content and hdr10 on others. Both work great, and you can change brightness for Dolby vision content through the picture settings. Don't expect this to compete with TV sets 2-3 times the price and you won't be disappointed!

Nice picture and good value
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for use in our home gym, in a room that has wifi but not cable. Therefore we wanted a set with good Smart TV streaming features. The tv was easy to set up. I'm very happy with the picture and the Roku OS works well. I'm able to use the Spectrum tv app to access channels from our cable provider. My only gripe about the tv (and most tv's these days) are the cheap, wide bases they use. They are too wide for many tables, and of course they don't swivel. So in many cases it is necessary to spend another $50-$75 to purchase a separate swivel base. Aside from this I am pleased with this tv.

Looked like the best TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent almost 5 hours in the store looking at all the TV's, flipping between different channels, inputs, lighting settings, everything I could think of. Decided this was the best overall TV in the price range. Colors, lighting, motion, picture of converting SD and HD. Looks nice, too. The only thing I don't like about it is the Roku remote. I'd rather have a standard remote with a few more buttons. The Roku remote might be the worst remote I've ever used, but still not bad enough to knock the overall quality of the TV so far after more than a month. Wish it had 1 more HDMI port, too, but for the price you probably aren't getting more.

Excellent TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is outstanding for the price. In full disclosure I bought this TV and it had defective speakers, there was an obvious crackling in the back panel that was impossible to ignore, that is why this is 4 stars and not 5. I chalked it up to an error in manufacturing , bought the TV again and I am very happy with my purchase. The speakers are not great on this tv, and some sounds still come out a bit crackled, but for 600 dollars you can afford a nice sound bar and get an excellent set up for under 1000$. Highly recommend

Seems to be a great picture for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My previous TV was an LG plasma and I always enjoyed the picture on it and have always felt many of the LED tvs I see are too bright. Maybe it is just the way people have them set up as for the most part this tv can get dark enough to satisfy me though there are still times where it just seems too bright. The only other issue I have with the tv is I have not been able to find a way to adjust the aspect ratio. Occasionally I am on a channel where the picture has that smooshed look. Can't seem to find a way around that so far. But again, I find myself surprisingly happy with the quality of the picture.

Best tv for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a lot of research before purchasing this. I initially was going to buy the previous model until I heard about the new model with more dimming zones. So I waited and I was handsomely rewarded. First the bevel looks anazing. The picture quality is better than the previous model and the roku tv is easy to use and setup. Sound quality is good, not great. The tv tends to rattle a bit at higher volumes. Overall this is the best tv you can buy for the price.

SmartTV for an upstairs kids game room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had previously purchased an older TCL Roku TV for my mother in law, and really fell in love with the UI. But when I got this 6 Series I knew they had done some improvements with the overall picture. It is great on everything I have played, live sports or broadcast shows, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. Although I have not played alot of 4k specific content, what I have tested looked fantastic. The speakers, like most flat screen TVs today, are just OK, but I'm not too concerned about that since I will be getting either a surround sound system or soundbar as one of my next big purchases. I highly recommend this TV to my friends, even those who only buy "name brand".

55” tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had forgotten where the volume was on remote but family member found it. With that found, the tv is working well. I accidentally had volume to high and other members had to close the doors to their rooms . I thought I would need a sound bar after reading other people’s reviews but I don’t at the moment. We can all hear it. This is a nice size tv for the room I have it in. No matter where you sit, you can see it. I am still figuring out the roku piece since I never streamed before. But I’m getting it figured out slowly. The cord is short for plugging it in though so that will play a part in where it gets mounted on your wall

Best to I've ever owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had heard about this TV at CES in 2017. when I first saw it I couldn't believe what they were saying you were going to get for the cost. But lo and behold at $600 you got a TV with an amazing screen great clarity true 4K and active LED zones. This truly is the best TV that you could get for the price. I own a $1,400 55in Samsung that is only a year older and does not look anything close to as good as this TCL. My one and only gripe is that the remote seems to not work at a low-angle compared to a TV that's hanging on a wall. all in all I would 100% recommend this to anyone that is looking for a new television that is trying to spend between 6 and $800.

Great picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set up, great picture, and great sound. Only issue is very basic remote would be nice if it had numbers to manually select channels if you get local channels via antenna.

Cannot go wrong!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical of TCL because I had never owned one or heard of it until recently. I read tons of reviews and literally everything was praising the “bang for the buck“ on TCL and this particular model. I made the purchase and thought, I will return it if I am not overly satisfied. Ha! No returns for me! The picture is amazing, especially 4K, and the ROKU interface is a breeze. For $400 (2019 Black Friday price), I am convinced you cannot make a better purchase. Yes, there are better models out there. But if you are on a budget and looking for quality, you will be well pleased with this model. I know I am!

Excellent 4K tv for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased as my first 4k tv after getting high speed cable to feed it. I like everything about the set, once I got it completely set up. Bought the Roku speakers which are excellent, even if they can currently ONLY BE USED WITH A ROKU TV. I hope there is a software upgrade coming to fix that. My only complaint is there is no way to eliminate the soap opera effect on this Series 6 model. Apparently, earlier models had setting adjustments to help with that. Otherwise, great mid-price tv.

Absolutely gorgeous TV for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was shocked at how well this TV looks and performs for its price range. The build quality is much sturdier than the plastic cover of the previous generation, and the image is very sharp and crisp. Make sure to adjust the motion settings; the image looked washed out and dark when I first powered on the TV, but after I turned off some of the motion options in the settinsg menu, the image looked pristine. If you're looking for a 4K TV at an excellent price point, this is the one to buy. If you haven't heard of TCL before, they are a reputable company that built a great product for those of us not looking to spend $1000+ on a quality image.

TCL 6 series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw the reviews on cnet and other online platforms and took the leap of faith for a TV to replace one in my bedroom. I am a serious critic of picture quality and this TV impresses me. Only draw back is it does not have wide viewing angles as the color on the screen starts having a bluish haze in wide angles. I am in love and now can watch movies in the bedroom with my wife instead of downstairs on my Sony TV. It is about 1500 more than this one but this holds its own in terms of picture quality. I highly recommend it. Other features are you have all the essential apps like youtube, Netflix among others built in on the roku platform.
