This TV has a great picture, you can definitely tell the difference to other so called 4k TV's. My previous Toshiba FireTV had nothing but issues with the picture, and had about half of the definition of this TCL. Only complaint is the sound is OK and best. There are only pre-set modes. That's something they could learn from the Toshiba FireTV that has Harmon Kardon speakers. I rate this TV 4.5 stars because of the sound otherwise it would be a 5

Excellent TV, period. Fantastic for the price. I bought this for my bedroom, as I already had its 65-inch brother in my living room. I love them both, expecially the deep blacks and bright images they produce. You will not be disappointed. The only weakness with both the 55 and 65 inch models is their sound. If you add decent 2.1 speakers to them--Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and Logiech Z623, in my case--you won't be disappointed.

The price and picture are hard to beat. Im happy with the built in Roku OS, no compatibility issues with any external inputs.

So far my TCL tv has been wonderful. Two weeks till Christmas and my TV just stops working with no warning, so we head to Best Buy to see what great deals we can get. The salesman says for the money you should try the TCL 55 inch gets you the big name quality for half the price and the reviews are great. I have not been disappointed.

Very happy with this TV overall. Excellent picture quality. Good design (does not look cheap). Large variety of apps. Easy to use.

You will not find a better TV than this for the money. This TV has awesome HDR performance. In a lot of ways, this TV outperforms my Sony X900F. The X900F is better in terms of motion, but the TCL has a better smart system and can get brighter in HDR. I also think that the upscaling of cable/satellite content looks a little better on the TCL. Impressive for a budget brand!

After researching many tv’s my son suggested this one. It has a great picture and is very easy to use. Price is definitely a plus.

Very bright, sharp, colorful picture. Roku is the main reason I bought this tv along with the high ratings the tv came with.

This TV is very highly rated for all the right reasons. It offers great picture quality and has built-in Roku, which were big selling points for us. 3 HDMI inputs, one of which is ARC for a sound bar; would have preferred one more to allow for a video game in addition to cable box, Blu-Ray, and soundbar. Pretty easy set-up, although we are still figuring out the best configuration for us, as we have only had it a couple of weeks, but so far so good.

I waited until I could get the series 6, and I have been completely satisfied. Great picture, love the built-in Roku.

Not one of the big names, but this tv has everything you need. Great image. Roku is super easy to use. Really good value.

I purchased this tv about five months ago. I had done a lot of research before choosing this particular model. It has been excellent. The picture has been clear and easily visible from all over the room. Recently, someone who hadn't been to my house in a while came over and one of the first things they said was, "Hey! You got a new TV!" The better picture was immediately noticeable to them. Also, with the ROKU platform it is easy to access many apps, like NETFLIX, AMZ, etc.

This is a great tv for the price. Clear picture and easy to use. Not Sony Bravia quality, but also about 1/4 the price.

I never thought going from 1080 to 4k would make a difference. I had a 720 in my bedroom, it was like watching Minecraft. I’ve had. I issues with the brand or the roku version. From what I heard Samsung and Google have non removable advertisements on there tvs. I don’t care for all the tracking Android/Google does. You’ll need to pick up a sound at though.

Pretty good picture for $450 55” set, colors are a bit faded compared to my Visio P series and Samsung 8 series. The image is also much quicker at an angle the other TVs mentioned if that’s important to you. This is especially true when the viewing it off angle on the y-axis I’d recommend it if you are looking for a good set on a budget. But if you want the best picture quality in the midrange priced sets for me it’s the Vizio.

I love the tv, but not the remote. It has to be directed at a very specific spot on the tv. The picture is amazing.
