So far this has been a great purchase. I did not experience the banding issue that others have reported. I do have the smell problem, but after continued use it seems to be fading. Picture is great (keep in mind my last tv was 1080p). One note, I did point the stand legs inward instead of outward, which let it set on my 36 inch stand ( it is now 30 inches between the legs).

Excellent TV for all that it is capable of and at a great price

I bought this TV knowing that there have been some issues. Well, I had an issue with the first one. It had a dark patch in the top left of the screen that was very noticeable on white backgrounds. I brought it back without any issues and got another one that has been great. It has an awesome picture, the sound is decent, and I like the Roku interface.

Let’s me clear here, this tv had a wide color gamut (no issues displaying DCI-P3 & BT2020, it produces close to 1,000 bits at peak brightness with local dimming enabled and it does so with better picture quality than any other tv on the market in this price range. End of story.

The TV has an outstanding picture, such a great value for the money

I have never owned a TCL TV until now. After reading reviews for it, I decided to give it a try. At this price point, it delivers a very good picture for the money. Bought this for my bedroom and added a TCL 7.1 sound bar for fun. It looks and sounds great. I've had it now for about a month and no problems at all.

I love the quality of image on these 6 series TLC tvs. The only issues I have are that when you turn on the TV it has a hard time finding my wireless network and that once in a blue moon the system locks up and i have to turn off the TV and power it back on. All and all i would purchase again.

I feel that after looking at many different 4K televisions, this television was a great purchase for the price. Even though TCL is a newer brand that I knew very little about, I feel that it was able to fill all of the needs that I had. It was a fairly large change from a plasma screen to this new one, but I believe this is for the better.

Fantastic picture. The roku tv interface is easy to use and seamless.

Above average picture quality for the price and easy to set up

I think TCL made a good TV for the price but after the reviews came out the demand was so great the product quality suffered. After a few months of owning it the TV it started turning off on its own. I called TCL and I had to prove that I owned the TV for less than a year to get warranty service on it because the TV was built 16 months before I purchased it. I had to go back to Best Buy to get proof of purchase. I ended up trading it in for a Sharp. The Roku TV platform built into the TV is OK if you're on a budget but it doesn't interface well with a Harmony universal remote. In hindsight next time I'll buy a similarly priced TV from Vizio and buy a separate 4K Roku device,

Easy set up. Great picture and a great price. A must buy.

After researching this TV and seeing various reviews and comparisons I felt this was the best option particularly at this price point. Overall I have been very pleased with the setup as well as the picture quality and the various options that this TV provides. I would recommend this TV to others that are looking for a TV with similar features for under $600.

The color is good and clarity of picture fine for the price.

I primarily use my TV for playing games (Xbox One and Nintendo Switch) and this TV has been great for that purpose. I have internet wired into the TV and still hit lag/pixilation with DirecTV NOW, but that is my only complaint - may be a problem on their end and not the TV itself.

Awesome quality and great price. Looks great in 4k!

We bought this about a month ago from Best Buy and have been enjoying the fine quality, especially the vibrant colors and fast moving sports picture quality. Maybe with more 4K programming available in the near future, we can get more enjoyment for years to come.

The TCL 6 series is a fantastic TV for those looking for a great TV on a tight budget. Is it the best of the best? No. But it easily goes toe to toe with the others in the 1,000-1,400 dollar range for half the price. Not a great TV for sports, but if you love movies, it’s awesome. RokuTv is by far the best SmartTv tech.
