Solid Budget Gaming TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Highly recommended for gaming. Lots of adjustable options, the HDR is pretty on point, frame rates run pretty smooth with the refresh rate of the tv. I use this as my gaming monitor for my computer. Not recommended for competitive gameplay by any means by great for anything else.

Great Picture for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did my homework prior to selecting this 55" 6 Series TCL Roku TV. We purchased this for our covered outdoor entertaining room and has worked out great. The picture quality is remarkable, even with some sun. We did purchase a sound bar, so no experience using the TV speakers. We always intended on a Soundbar anyway.

Great Mid Range 4K TV for Average Person
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a Chinese manufactured tv, this set is decent. If you are a videophile, then this tv may irritate you due to the uneven uniformity the screen panel displays. For movies and normal tv viewing, you may never notice the dirty screen effect or local dimming zone banding, but if you are a computer, monitor or game user, then this set may be one you need to pass on because the banding and dirty screen effect is very noticeable. The audio is rear facing and poor as you would expect. The quality of the bezel, frame and legs are actually pretty nice for this price range having metal legs and a mix of brushed metal and plastic for the frame of the tv. The user interface and operating system was surprisingly simple, clean, silky smooth and very easy to use and understand. The tv basically will scan your inputs, ask if you would like to label them and automatically hide the unused inputs if you desire. All of these settings can be reset if you want to make changes however. The screen brightness and resolution is really good even when compared with tvs in the $1k+ range and most people would be very happy with its performance. I ended up selling this tv to a family member that wanted a basic upgrade at a reasonable price, who was not a videophile like myself. Personally for myself, the dirty screen effect and local dimming vertical banding of the panel, although I was lucky to not get a horrible panel like others you may find doing a quick google search online, these "defects" in my opinion were enough to discourage me from keeping the tv. I went with the Vizio P55-F1 instead, which has its own issues, but overall I believe for this price range is the better buy. Overall, good tv for the average user who doesn't care about the nitpicky details.

TCL 55”
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV. The build in Roku is very convenient and reduces all the external junk needed to be plugged in. Love the picture quality. Overall I’m very happy with my choice. I did a lot of research and was confidence to go with TCL over some of the big brand names.

Great tv for the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cheapest tv I got in the house, but by far the best playing tv. The color is amazing. The Dolby vision is the way to go. From box to watching tv took about 20 minutes. The setup was so easy. Dont hesitate to purchase this tv

Great Smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TCL is a good purchase for its simplicity in set up and use. Easy to understand home screen, and I have even got the app on a kindle so I have a "second remote". I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love everything about this TV with one exception. Picture is great, sound is better than expected and the Roku feature in combination with YouTube TV has enabled us to cut the cord with cable. Only negative is lack of an audio output which allows us to use headphones without muting the regular tv audio.

Amazing!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's hard to beat paying less than $1000 dollars for an absolutely awesome TV. Checked out tons of reviews from a whole bunch of websites and they all said it a fantastic TV that's almost, if not just as good as many $3000+ TVs. Can't beat that!

Great TV, even greater price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I shopped extensively before buying the 6 series TCL. It is without a doubt the best quality picture and even approaches the OLED level. And it's less than half the price. The sound is OK, but if you by the ROKU speakers the sound is excellent. Only problem TV speakers don't work with the ROKU ones.

Best TV for the money
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You will not find a better TV for this price. Fair warning, be prepared to fiddle with settings a bit to get the picture just how you want it. I had to do that some in order to get rid of the "smoke" in the pure blacks on screen but was doable and now I have an amazing tv.

Fantastic TV for the price range
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.im no expert, but this TV (considering the price) is amazing. I watched the documentary blue planet 4k the first night I set it up. my god, it looked fantastic! if you're considering to put it in your living room, you may want to go with the bigger size. but this TV is a great one to have in a room.

Great contrast and color gamut
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was a bit hesitant due to the quality issues regarding banding but I didn't notice it. Mine was manufactured Sept 2018 and purchased on President's Day. The local dimming works great, terrific contrast and wide color gamut. Love it!

Buy it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After doing a ton of online research and going back-and-forth to Best Buy to look at televisions and compare them to what I read in reviews and watched on YouTube reviews, I decided to buy this television and I am 100% completely happy with it. I would definitely buy it again without hesitation.

Panel Lottery - Vertical Banding
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buying TCL TVs has been a very frustrating experience for me. Just about every website raves about how amazing these TVs are, and none of them mentioned how it's a toss-up as to how good your panel is. If you're one of the lucky ones and get a great panel, it's an amazing TV. However, this is my second TCL TV that I've purchased, and both had terrible vertical banding issues. Even playing a bright, colorful game like Red Dead Redemption 2, everytime the camera pans, you can see vertical banding on the screen. It is so distracting and has ruined my viewing experience permanently. I've contacted TCL and even sent them pictures and they responded and said that since it's such a common issue, they will not replace my TV. I may sell this TV and go with the Vizio P-Series.

Exceptional TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is wonderful. I had a samsung 6 series and I returned it to UPGRADE to this TCL, yes UPGRADE. Dollar for dollar the TCL 6 series beats anything out there without breaking the bank. I would highly recommend this TV to any of my friends and family, in fact, my father went and bought one as well!

Great Television
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great image (great vehicle for Blu-Ray or 4k) without much fuss out of the box, no need to break out the Disney movie/calibration disc. Controller is nice, speakers suck (but 99% of TV speakers do) and thats what external speakers are for. No delay issues between optical audio output and image,

Good tv for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a tv for my office and didn’t want to spend a lot. I have a small one of these tcl Roku tv’s at my other office and was happy with the picture. Even at 55” the picture is good and sports look good as well. Can’t go wrong with the built in roku and Wi-Fi, no cords hanging around.

Very happy with this TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can't beat the quality picture for this price. We recently cut the cord and use an antenna and several streaming services. The ROKU interface is very easy to use and input selections are on one screen. Beautiful picture! No issues that I have seen in other reviews. Not a thing wrong with this unit.

Great choice
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sharp, vivid image; excellent sound. It’s nice to play media from my iPhone with the Roku app. Good amount of free content available. After checking several websites (and corroborating with salesman at the store), it’s probably the best TV for less than $1K. I definitely recommend it.
