TV has a major flaw and no one is talking about it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The title is not for click bait. This TV has a major flaw and I don't see many discussions around it. The built in Roku OS is extremely bright on the eyes and you have just one setting to configure the brightness where you get to choose between 5 presets. I'm using the "Darkest" setting and it still burns my eyes. When you open a video stream (eg: youtube video or netflix video) then you have the option of enabling advanced settings. And in that you have the full controls for the brightness, backlight etc. This may seem silly, but I'm almost considering returning the TV over this. Think about 10pm where you are done watching a youtube video and then the youtube app opens up with glaring whites! For now, I've ordered a streaming player that would connect over HDMI (i ordered the roku itself, which is unfortunate, given that this TV already had Roku). My hope is that for the HDMI feed, I get to choose Advanced Settings even in the menu and that might solve my problem. However, having to buy a roku for a roku TV just to control the brightness is ridiculous! Best Buy - can you please issue a discount or something?
