I accidentally cracked the screen on my LG TV and it turns out that a new TV is cheaper than a screen so I started looking and I found this TV on a different website but they wanted $450 - a little outside my budget so I checked Best Buy and they had it on sale for under $300. I already had a smaller TCL which I am well pleased with. The picture on this is excellent and I NEVER thought I would touch a QLED for anywhere near this price. I am BEYOND PLEASED with this TV. I can't say enough about TCL. Would definitely buy another TCL IN A HEARTBEAT. VERY VERY IMPRESSED!!

Not gonna lie, I had my reservations with TCL. My friend had purchased one years ago and didn't think they were very good, but they were affordable. Clearly, TCL has upped their game over the past 5 years. My Sony Bravia X85 gave out and I was forced to get a new TV. I didn't want to spend on Sony again for the time being (they are the best imo), but I took a chance, spent $220 on this 55" TCL and I have actually been blown away by the quality. There are nitpicky things I could probably find, but at the end of the day, I'd rather pay $220 for this 55" 4K TV than $2000 for an LC C2 or the like. It just makes no sense to me why you would spend so much for what I think is a relatively small difference. Mind you, this is our living room family TV, so it's not a cinematic experience by any means, so I can only attest to that. For a movie room, yes, you can probably do much better, but again, I'd probably buy another one for my movie room, too - it seems that good. We'll see how time will change or solidify my opinion.

Great picture. easy to navigate. Bluetooth pairs easily. Light weight, stable enough for my table top stand. No need for Roku streaming device, add apps option. Google home mobile app with back up remote, super helpful. Overall, I have no complaints. Great purchase!

Great value! Can't beat the price for the product. Screen is clear. Sound is loud and clear, and the remote/interface for tv is very easy to navigate.

This tv is great. I do a lot of research of products before I make a purchase, so I felt it would be a solid tv. The price I paid for this tv and the quality picture I am seeing on this tv is amazing. I watched the Little Mermaid on Disney+ as soon as I got it to judge the visuals and sound and I was blown away. The sound is so good that I use Spotify with my tv often and it connects to headphones through Bluetooth easily. My ps4 works well with this tv - no complaints. I was concerned about lag(because of the 1 star reviews) but there has only been once issue after declining a restart for an update. However, I just did the full restart like I would with any other tv and there hasnt been any problems since. Technology 101 - reboot. There is a caveat, though, I have only used this tv for a month.

For the price this tv is amazing. Very bright. Great picture. Easily comparable picture quality to my Sony OLED. Which I was not expecting at all and it’s brighter so if you have a Bright room you’ll appreciate how bright this gets.

I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY 14 YEAR OLD SON FOR CHRISTMAS... AND HE LOVES IT ..I INITIALLY PURCHASED THE 65INCH OF THE SAME MODEL BUT I HAD TO GO PICK IT UP IN BEVERTON .. SO IT GAVE ME A DAY TO THINK ABOUT IT .. YOU KNOW A 65 INCH IN AN BEDROOM APT LOL.. MAYBE 10 BY 15 IF LUCKY.... AND IT SEEMED TO MAYBE BE JUST A LITTLE TO BIG FOR THAT.. YOU KNOW SITTING MAYBE 5.5 AWAY FROM IT .. SO I DECIDED TO JUST GET THE 55INCH.. IT WAS A PERFECT CHOICE FOR HIS ROOM AND HIS EYES!!!!! I MYSELF LIKE A BIG SCREEN..IVE GOT A 98 INCH IN THE SAME SIZE ROOM LOL.. BUT THIS WORKED OUT VERY WELL FOR HIM.. GREAT PICTURE .. This is a great TV and all respects except that the CPU is slow and outdated. It takes too long to switch between apps. Otherwise, the picture quality is great, and the sound quality is really good for TV speakers.

Seems like a good value. Controller can be laggy, and the TV occasionally freezes in the menu. I don't think that's unusual with these types of smart TV. Picture is good, and the Google screen saver is very nice - I have mine set to display classical art.

I purchased this tv for $229 on the Black Friday sale. It replaced a 43" 720p tv that I purchased in 2008 or 2009. I use it in a room where I work out on our elliptical machine. This is a tremendous upgrade. I don't get that much into all the specifications and details. My criteria for televisions is as follows: "Is the price conducive to my budget and does the picture look good to me?" I found the price to be excellent and the picture looks outstanding. The brightness is great, the remote control is easy to navigate and the setup was simple. I have been more inclined to workout since buying this. Again, from my perspective it's a no brainer. I would definitely recommend and have actually already told others about it.

Checked out the review on rtings.com along with using it personally and the TV is a no brainer if you can get it under $300. It blows every other tv in this price bracket out the water. I personally got it for $229 on black friday which is why my review is high and going foward this review will be based on if it is under $300. The HDR is better than most and the fact that it is QLED means it gets very bright. As with most flat screen tv’s youll want a soundbar or sound system to get great sound out of it, but the speakers suffice. It also has android tv which is a plus for me and any other android user out there. For gaming, this tv is great espescially if youre looking for a tv on a budget.

This TV is seriously awesome for movie nights. The picture is so crisp and clear, it feels like you're right there in the action. Even older movies look amazing on this screen. It's also super easy to use, which is a huge plus. I've spent way more time watching movies now that I have this TV.

Needed a tv for my man cave. My space isn’t big so I didn’t need a huge tv. Got a smoking deal on this tv at Best Buy. The sales guy was sharp, and knew exactly what I wanted as I asked for the tv by name. He had one loaded on a cart and I was in and out of the store. In boxes it at home and unfortunately it wouldn’t work with the mount I had. New mount, and it was up on the wall and I was watching a sports event within 10 minutes. Set up was fast and easy. Very good picture and overall a purchase I was very happy I made.

I can say I love my TV, great picture, easy to set up, better than I expected, with a Best Buy Price that blew the competition out of the water. Right down to the delivery, I live on the 2nd floor and the delivery guy handled with care, if all my purchases went this way, life would be easy, thank you Best Buy! As goes the TV, Best Buy description was right on, interface easy, I watch a lot of golf so the scenes change quickly, tracking the ball in flight is easy.

Bedroom fire tv bit the dust so went shopping for a new one. Had never even looked at TCL- always been a samsung fanboy for living areas and cheap-o for bedroom. Best buy employee advised against any insignia or other fire product and directed us to TCL. Helluva tv for the price. Bright clear picture, easy to use OS. Would recommend. QLED quality good, slightly noticble difference in this vs my samsung though. For what its for couldnt be happier.

Love all the features. Picture is so vivid. I love that it shows me but continue watching feature. And my other TV if I watched TV in the living room and came into the bedroom to watch something I'd forget which streaming app it was on. I don't have to worry on this TV it shows me all the streaming apps and what I was watching. I love that. The only thing missing is the backlit feature on the remote.

Pros: Picture quality ✔️ Dolby Vision ✔️ Dolby Atmos ✔️ Light weight ✔️ Cons: Average TV speakers ✖️ Little lag in response ✖️ Overall its a good tv in this price range but need to live with little lag in android tv (by clearing cache it works sometimes). If connected to an external speaker, you can enjoy Dolby Atmos content very well than with in built TV speakers. Best Buy service is awesome as always, orders for pickup will be ready within few minutes. I would recommend buying any electronics products through Best Buy for best in price and service.
