Bedroom fire tv bit the dust so went shopping for a new one. Had never even looked at TCL- always been a samsung fanboy for living areas and cheap-o for bedroom. Best buy employee advised against any insignia or other fire product and directed us to TCL. Helluva tv for the price. Bright clear picture, easy to use OS. Would recommend. QLED quality good, slightly noticble difference in this vs my samsung though. For what its for couldnt be happier.

Love all the features. Picture is so vivid. I love that it shows me but continue watching feature. And my other TV if I watched TV in the living room and came into the bedroom to watch something I'd forget which streaming app it was on. I don't have to worry on this TV it shows me all the streaming apps and what I was watching. I love that. The only thing missing is the backlit feature on the remote.

I was looking for a TV to use with my PC with an emphasis on gaming. I ended up choosing this one for its capabilities of VRR, HDR, 4K resolution, low input lag, and a pseudo 120hz mode, albeit with a slight compromise in that mode. You simply won't find a full 4K120 display at this price point. This TV was listed as the best budget gaming TV at the moment on RTINGS. I knew I couldn't get a whole 4K120 with the budget I had in mind, but this TV did have a way or "sorta" checking that box. What it CAN do is display 1440p content up to 120hz, but with what I believe it is the vertical resolution halved. This means it wouldn't be as sharp as native 1440p, but it still looks pretty nice. It's a trade off if you were looking for the smoothness. If you want to do 4K, you still have a VRR capable screen up to 60hz. The OS is a little laggy at startup, but everything really works fine. You can use voice control if you so choose. You can log in with a google account and customize screensavers and whatnot. There's no local dimming, so fully black scenes have a bit of light bleed at the edge of the screen, but nothing terrible. I will say it was a bit of a pain to get to use the 120hz mode. I couldn't find any documentation or help online to enable it. I set my PC to output 1440, but I could only choose 60hz. I ended up having to go into AMD Adrenalin settings and choose a 4:2:2 color format or something along those lines for it to finally work. That was a headache. But now I can utilize my PC on a bigger screen with some flex on the refresh rate.

This TV is seriously awesome for movie nights. The picture is so crisp and clear, it feels like you're right there in the action. Even older movies look amazing on this screen. It's also super easy to use, which is a huge plus. I've spent way more time watching movies now that I have this TV.

Great tv for the price. I got tired of watching tv at my moms while waiting for my laundry to get done. Her tv was old & I wanted to replace it asap. I didn’t have a lot & I bought it open box excellent condition. They love it, it’s pretty bright & has good speakers. Color is a little saturated like the old Samsungs but this tv is perfect for her. It’s there 1st 55 inch & they think I spent a lot. I didn’t…TLC stepped up there game recently. I like google tv interface. Just wish the picture options were better like my other tv. Great Value

This was a Best Buy. The picture quality is crisp and clear with great depth. Wide viewing angle. For the price you can’t beat this quality. Easy setup and easy connection to all my streaming services and apps. This is one of the lightest TV sets, I can easily carry and move it around by myself. The sound quality is ok but I have it hooked up to an external sound system so its awesome. I’m bummed they didn’t have th 65” in stock definitely would of enjoyed that more.

I got this tv on sale for $189. Never seen a QLED for such a low price. Took it home and the picture is so nice. Colors pop out at you. You can see the makeup caked on people, blemishes, etc. And video games look smooth too. Definitely made me a fan of QLED. So much so, purchased another model a week later. I will say the weakest thing of these tvs is the sound. I recommend a soundbar to make ur tv experience top notch.

This is a great TV and all respects except that the CPU is slow and outdated. It takes too long to switch between apps. Otherwise, the picture quality is great, and the sound quality is really good for TV speakers.

Snagged it during black friday for $230. I Bought this for the master bed room and let me tell you.. its a great buy. The sound is great and for someone that falls asleep to the tv , I am pleased to wake up to a screen saver that you can customize with personal photos. The Google OS is one of the reasons I bought this. Its right up there with vizio and fire tv as its visually pleasing. I had a budget for a tv and this was a great entry into qled .

Out of the box I love the tv. Had to make minor changes to brightness (was set at max) and contrast other than that it was perfect. Nice sharp clear image, set up was so easy a caveman could have done it. Simple remote and I for one like the Google Tv. It's easy and quick to access what I want. The picture is better than the TV it replaced. It replaced a Samsung - 50" Class Q60C QLED 4K UHD Smart TV that didn't last 3 yrs.

For the price this tv vkew me away. The picture quality is fantastic. The colors really pop and provide a live like image. The tv doesn't have 120hz, that that is to be expected at this price point. I didn't buy the tv for gaming so this didn't matter to me. If youre in the market for a great tv to connect to a streaming service or something similar, this tv cant be beat. I liked it so much i bought 2 more for our offices.

Great TV for the price, best you can get I think, especially when I comes to picture quality and brightness. Only complaint I have is really a Google TV shortcoming, not TCL, and that is that there’s no Windows extended desktop support natively, have to use a workaround. Still very happy with my purchase regardless.

This tv is amazing. The picture is very clear and I get almost all the channels that I watch with out cable. Set up was very easy, toke it from the box and secure the stand on and plug it in that was it. On the screen it tells you what to do if you want live viewing like the news or movies or anything you like. You also get a look movies channels too. I have recommended this tv to my friends and family.

The TCL 55" is great. Really clear picture. Easy to set up. A great value! My old Samsung only lasted 3 yrs!! My hearing aid/TV monitor works great with it & connected easily. We really love Best Buy because 1) they don't work on commission, 2) they have no vested interest in a y certain brand, 3)they know their stuff. Very knowledgeable. We buy all of our electronics & appliances there.

My 8 yr old UHF 4 K Samsung died, so I needed a replacement but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a new TV. I saw this TCL Smart TV on sale for $229.00 at Best Buy, and wasted no time jumping on that great price. I wanted to upgrade the UHF picture to a "QLED" version as I could not justify the much higher cost of an OLED. The picture is amazing with crisp colors and dark contrasts...a great upgrade from the UHF. The sound from its speakers is superior as well, much better than my more expensive Samsung. I have a soundbar hooked up to it , but, as far as I'm concerned, with or without one is just fine. For the price, this TV is feature laden with options such as a full compliment of apps generated through its Google TV functionality, Wi-Fi and BT connectivity, I was able to pair the TV to my Amazon Alexa through its TCL Assistant skill in the Alexa app. Voice commands are limited, but so is my tech expertise, so I'm happy. The biggest negative in my estimation is the Google operating system. It tends to be a little pokey loading content and changing input sources...slightly annoying but certainly not a deal breaker. All in all, this TV is a great buy for the money, particularly for those like myself who have champagne taste on a beer budget. You won't need to return it, but if you do for any reason, Best Buy has a very generous return policy now that the holiday shopping is in full force. Take the leap.....You won't be disappointed.
