BB had this TV on sale at a great price. It was a replacement for an older Plasma TV. It is super light and the QLED provides superior image quality.

I had bought a smart TV box but my cat's kept chewing the thin cords. went ahead and got a 50-in for my bedroom after I got the 55 for the living room. words cannot express The brilliance and color of these TCLs. I read the write-ups how they brag about the picture.. so the first thing I did was put on the ten commandments with Charlton Heston. I was blown away. it is gorgeous. for those old folks that remember the ten commandments this got color in the movie you can't find today. The TCL showed it with no problem. made a peacock look like he was missing colors.

I did a lot of research before buying this tv. In the past, I have always bought high-quality Samsung TV's, but this time I didn't need as big, quite the same quality, nor the high price tag. Initially, I was going to go with a Visio, but then I read some articles that selected the 2023 Best TV's, and they both ranked TCL well above Visio, so I chose the TCL 55" Q5 QLED 4K Smart Google TV. Set up was easy and I'm very impressed with the quality of the picture. On top of that, I got a huge discount from early Black Friday at Best Buy, so I'm thrilled with my purchase!

Love all the features. Picture is so vivid. I love that it shows me but continue watching feature. And my other TV if I watched TV in the living room and came into the bedroom to watch something I'd forget which streaming app it was on. I don't have to worry on this TV it shows me all the streaming apps and what I was watching. I love that. The only thing missing is the backlit feature on the remote.

I was looking for a TV to use with my PC with an emphasis on gaming. I ended up choosing this one for its capabilities of VRR, HDR, 4K resolution, low input lag, and a pseudo 120hz mode, albeit with a slight compromise in that mode. You simply won't find a full 4K120 display at this price point. This TV was listed as the best budget gaming TV at the moment on RTINGS. I knew I couldn't get a whole 4K120 with the budget I had in mind, but this TV did have a way or "sorta" checking that box. What it CAN do is display 1440p content up to 120hz, but with what I believe it is the vertical resolution halved. This means it wouldn't be as sharp as native 1440p, but it still looks pretty nice. It's a trade off if you were looking for the smoothness. If you want to do 4K, you still have a VRR capable screen up to 60hz. The OS is a little laggy at startup, but everything really works fine. You can use voice control if you so choose. You can log in with a google account and customize screensavers and whatnot. There's no local dimming, so fully black scenes have a bit of light bleed at the edge of the screen, but nothing terrible. I will say it was a bit of a pain to get to use the 120hz mode. I couldn't find any documentation or help online to enable it. I set my PC to output 1440, but I could only choose 60hz. I ended up having to go into AMD Adrenalin settings and choose a 4:2:2 color format or something along those lines for it to finally work. That was a headache. But now I can utilize my PC on a bigger screen with some flex on the refresh rate.

I got this tv on sale for $189. Never seen a QLED for such a low price. Took it home and the picture is so nice. Colors pop out at you. You can see the makeup caked on people, blemishes, etc. And video games look smooth too. Definitely made me a fan of QLED. So much so, purchased another model a week later. I will say the weakest thing of these tvs is the sound. I recommend a soundbar to make ur tv experience top notch.

Great tv for the price. I got tired of watching tv at my moms while waiting for my laundry to get done. Her tv was old & I wanted to replace it asap. I didn’t have a lot & I bought it open box excellent condition. They love it, it’s pretty bright & has good speakers. Color is a little saturated like the old Samsungs but this tv is perfect for her. It’s there 1st 55 inch & they think I spent a lot. I didn’t…TLC stepped up there game recently. I like google tv interface. Just wish the picture options were better like my other tv. Great Value

This was a Best Buy. The picture quality is crisp and clear with great depth. Wide viewing angle. For the price you can’t beat this quality. Easy setup and easy connection to all my streaming services and apps. This is one of the lightest TV sets, I can easily carry and move it around by myself. The sound quality is ok but I have it hooked up to an external sound system so its awesome. I’m bummed they didn’t have th 65” in stock definitely would of enjoyed that more.

Great TV for the price, best you can get I think, especially when I comes to picture quality and brightness. Only complaint I have is really a Google TV shortcoming, not TCL, and that is that there’s no Windows extended desktop support natively, have to use a workaround. Still very happy with my purchase regardless.

Snagged it during black friday for $230. I Bought this for the master bed room and let me tell you.. its a great buy. The sound is great and for someone that falls asleep to the tv , I am pleased to wake up to a screen saver that you can customize with personal photos. The Google OS is one of the reasons I bought this. Its right up there with vizio and fire tv as its visually pleasing. I had a budget for a tv and this was a great entry into qled .

Out of the box I love the tv. Had to make minor changes to brightness (was set at max) and contrast other than that it was perfect. Nice sharp clear image, set up was so easy a caveman could have done it. Simple remote and I for one like the Google Tv. It's easy and quick to access what I want. The picture is better than the TV it replaced. It replaced a Samsung - 50" Class Q60C QLED 4K UHD Smart TV that didn't last 3 yrs.

For the price this tv vkew me away. The picture quality is fantastic. The colors really pop and provide a live like image. The tv doesn't have 120hz, that that is to be expected at this price point. I didn't buy the tv for gaming so this didn't matter to me. If youre in the market for a great tv to connect to a streaming service or something similar, this tv cant be beat. I liked it so much i bought 2 more for our offices.

This tv is amazing. The picture is very clear and I get almost all the channels that I watch with out cable. Set up was very easy, toke it from the box and secure the stand on and plug it in that was it. On the screen it tells you what to do if you want live viewing like the news or movies or anything you like. You also get a look movies channels too. I have recommended this tv to my friends and family.

The TCL 55" is great. Really clear picture. Easy to set up. A great value! My old Samsung only lasted 3 yrs!! My hearing aid/TV monitor works great with it & connected easily. We really love Best Buy because 1) they don't work on commission, 2) they have no vested interest in a y certain brand, 3)they know their stuff. Very knowledgeable. We buy all of our electronics & appliances there.

On sale, I'm not sure any other TV can compete. This is my 2nd TCL TV (first was bought years ago and is still perfect) and it's even better than the first. Out of the box, it had no dead pixels, just needed a little picture adjustment (factory settings are made for a huge warehouse), and the setup wizard walked me through everything (apps needed, connection settings, etc.). Easy and within minutes I was completely set up. QLED picture is fantastic and the motion rate is great (TV is not being used for gaming, just streaming). Most of my home is on the Roku platform and this was the first google system and I have no complaints. Easy to find all apps, connect, and since i have an android, there's some additional integration that's pretty cool. Anyway, for the people who are looking for the best pic quality and sound, what are you doing here at this price point? But really, it still punches way above its class as long as you know how to help it (sound bar and pic settings).
