My 8 yr old UHF 4 K Samsung died, so I needed a replacement but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for a new TV. I saw this TCL Smart TV on sale for $229.00 at Best Buy, and wasted no time jumping on that great price. I wanted to upgrade the UHF picture to a "QLED" version as I could not justify the much higher cost of an OLED. The picture is amazing with crisp colors and dark contrasts...a great upgrade from the UHF. The sound from its speakers is superior as well, much better than my more expensive Samsung. I have a soundbar hooked up to it , but, as far as I'm concerned, with or without one is just fine. For the price, this TV is feature laden with options such as a full compliment of apps generated through its Google TV functionality, Wi-Fi and BT connectivity, I was able to pair the TV to my Amazon Alexa through its TCL Assistant skill in the Alexa app. Voice commands are limited, but so is my tech expertise, so I'm happy. The biggest negative in my estimation is the Google operating system. It tends to be a little pokey loading content and changing input sources...slightly annoying but certainly not a deal breaker. All in all, this TV is a great buy for the money, particularly for those like myself who have champagne taste on a beer budget. You won't need to return it, but if you do for any reason, Best Buy has a very generous return policy now that the holiday shopping is in full force. Take the leap.....You won't be disappointed.

This TV has great picture quality and an easy to use interface. It’s very vivid and lifelike. Accessing your streaming apps are done through the Google TV interface which allows for easy to access to all your shows once you’ve gone through the initial setup. This isn’t as expensive as other brands of TVs on the market but it is certainly a great value for the money. I would recommend this model to anyone looking for a great TV that won’t break the bank.

The picture quality is amazing and the sound is good for TV speakers. It supports HDR10 and the picture from my laptop on my TV is absolutely gorgeous. I use this TV for light to moderate PC gaming and the occasional movie and it does not disappoint. I would have given it 5/5 except that the Google TV software is kind of buggy.

My best value purchase of 2024. The picture rivaled my $1000 Samsung i got in 2020 and is a quarter of the price. I definitely prefer the google versions ovwr the roku or fire os

For the Black Friday deal and for people that don’t mind not having all the bells and whistles of higher end TV’s this TV does the trick. Very bright and colorful after adjusting settings and fairly crisp quality. Got this to replace my parents 7 year old 1080p tv. This one does look sharper but does not compare to other high end LED panels I’ve seen.

This is the best TV I bought in years. User friendly. Very clear acreen. This TV has all the App for your enjoyment like Netflix. I eould recommend this TV to all my family and friends

Bought this to replace a TV that had a backlight going out. I can't complain as I still have the TV in my living room and it is amazing. Great picture and great sound. Easy to setup and real easy to run.

Watching it now. It’s bright, clear, and the google tv interface is good. Especially when you put it into app only mode. I replaced a 7 year old LG and I’m very pleased with it. Wish the settings with my soundbar were easier to navigate but that has been the only issue.

Looked around a lot for an older model, relatively good quality, 4K, Smart Television and found a good deal on this one. I’ve had great success with TCL and this is my second one, although my previous model was a Roku TV and this one is Google TV. For my watching environment, 55” is more like 75” and the picture is gorgeous. If I had an Android phone and tablet, this would be the perfect ecosystem. However, just because I have an iPhone, it doesn’t mean it’s not a good experience. I can still control the TV with my phone and the apps move across platforms seemlessly. I can control Alexa through it, I can even control my portable AC unit with it. The onboard audio is pretty mid, but just adding a 2.1 soundbar with a subwoofer ramps it up exponentially. If you aren’t a Black Friday fan or Amazon days fan and just stumble across deals randomly, look at older models that are still in circulation. I bought 2 of these and saved $300+, $100+ off just for being an older model. Great find!

I'm very pleased with the picture quality - it's brighter and a step up from the Q4 version I have. There is also a good deal of picture customization available if you dig into the menu. The operating system on the other hand is pretty bad, it's not nearly as good or as intuitive as TCL's Roku televisions. The quality of this TV at this price point is pretty great though, I recommend.

This is for the Q5 class. You won't find a better TV for the price, options, and display. Crisp quality, easy setup, and the built-in Google OS is great, fast, and snappy. It takes a second for the Google OS to wake-up but just as efficient and usable as a FireStick without having to pay $30-50 extra. The Netflix, Prime, and YouTube shortcuts (there might be another one) are fantastic. This thing just works, and works well. I have it in the gym, connected to external speakers. Caveat: this is not considered a 'premium' TV so you can't AirPlay directly to it from an iPhone without downloading an app on the TV from the Play Store. To be clear, you won't have the ability to directly cast, beam or AirPlay to it without a special app on the TV. Other than that, great TV, highly reccommend for anything near/under 300 pesos.

QLED for $350. Can’t be beat. Only been on for 3 weeks. So time will tell

Love the picture and the sound isn’t too bad without a sound bar. I have an old Visio bar that I didn’t like so maybe when I can afford a new one I will add but for now it’s ok. Wish this had Roku instead of Google but again not a deal breaker. All and all a great TV for the price. This is our 3rd TCL tv and haven’t been disappointed yet.

I am very satisfied with the purchase of the TV. The image quality is very good. I am planning to buy another such TV, but it is 65.

I was not sure about buying this TV because of how inexpensive it was. I am glad I did. The picture quality is amazing. Very easy to set up. I will definitely buy this brand again.
