Good TV, Great Price.

I've had this TV for awhile now and so far it's been quite impressive. The pictures are very bright (not too bright and washed out, but perfectly balanced), and the screen is quite sharp too. The speakers are decent, but I wouldn't use the TV without a soundbar (I wouldn't use any TV without a soundbar, TV speakers are absolutely horrendous in my opinion). All in all, I would definitely recommend this TV for anyone looking for a 55 inch TV with good picture at a reasonable price. This is my second TCL TV (I have a 65 inch too), and I will definitely consider TCL Q series TVs when I decide to jump to a 75 inch TV.

Much better than I had expected

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a big Sony fan, but these days I'm looking to save some money so I went with this 55" TCL for my "man cave", and I've got to say I'm very impressed. In my opinion, the picture quality is just as good as the Sony Bravia that I have in my living room. The audio for the TCL isn't quite as good as the Sony, but it's good enough for a man cave. Initially, I was a bit disappointed with the Google OS on here because it does come with an older problematic version installed. Once it updated itself though, it's been great. If you're not used to Android TV / Google TV, it will take some getting used to. I love it because it can show all of my photos that I keep in Google Photos when the TV isn't playing anything, or when it's playing Spotify. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one for another room in my house.

Good tv

I wanted a qled TV and I have a TCL in my bedroom qled series 7 and I loved it so I wanted to try this out. The price might scare you away thinking that it's going to be a cheap TV but I can tell you right now the picture quality is so much better than the LG that I had and has way more features even with the price point. Only downside I I could say right now with only having it for a few days is the sound. You may need a sound bar. If anything changes I'll update this review.

It's great for gaming thanks to its low input lag, quick response time, and variable refresh rate support. It's very good for watching movies in a dark room thanks as it displays deep blacks and has a full-array local dimming feature, but the local dimming feature isn't the best, and there's some blooming around bright areas of the screen. It's good for watching sports and decent for shows in a bright room, as it has good enough brightness to overcome some glare. However, it has a narrow viewing angle, so the image degrades when viewed from the side, making it a poor choice for a wide seating arrangement.

Remote is annoying

Our only complain is the remote is super laggy and annoying. I often have to click the same button multiple times for it to work. The Google voice commands could also be improved as well as the interface of the Google TV in general.

Nice QLED Tv

Sounds not that great but if you put a AV Receiver or a soundbar sounds Awesome. It has its flaws like sometimes it takes a while for apps to load and when switching to another app it glitches very weird. And when I connected my Sony 5 year old Av Receiver it Sometimes doesn’t work properly till I restart the tv then it starts working again maybe it might be my receiver I don’t know. Otherwise The TV is flawless. O Maybe it might be my tv but I noticed that the bottom sides and top have a very thin white line. I read that others when peeling front film cover and plastic side films that happened to them too. If you get it on sale then I think it’s worth it but full price not worth it. But for being my first QLED Tv it’s Awesome Can’t wait to see the Super Bowl this year and see how it looks.

A Lot of TV for the Money

It went on sale for $230 so I bought one. I didn't need a lot and wasn't expecting a lot. My main TV is a 2014 Sony 65" 4K TV. It was expensive - $1800. I guess TVs have just improved a lot because this TCL is better in every way compared to my 10 year old Sony. I suppose if you need the best TV available this TV won't be good enough but if you're an average viewer just looking for a decent TV I doubt you'll be disappointed.
