However, it's essential to highlight a minor inconvenience I encountered regarding the HDMI placement, specifically in relation to my Amazon Fire TV Stick. Let me begin with the positive aspects. The TCL Q5 Series QLED TV boasts an impressive 55-inch display that delivers breathtaking 4K UHD visuals, enhanced by the vibrant colors and remarkable contrast provided by its QLED technology. The Smart Google TV interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it a joy to navigate through various apps and content. The sleek and modern design, coupled with robust build quality, further adds to the appeal of this television. Now, to address a small hiccup I encountered—the HDMI placement. The closest HDMI slot proved to be too snug for my Amazon Fire TV Stick, making it challenging to utilize that particular port. While this may seem like a minor issue, it did impact the overall convenience of setting up additional devices. Despite this slight inconvenience, I want to emphasize that the TCL Q5 Series QLED TV remains an outstanding choice for anyone seeking top-notch visual quality and a feature-rich Smart TV experience. Buggy Operating System, but TV has features I want

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Good - I purchased this TV because it was the least expensive TV that supported the gaming features I wanted. It supports HDMI 2.1 VRR, G-Sync, and FreeSync. If you are gaming at 1080p it can hit 120Hz. Since I'll be connecting a budget tier PC to this for some gaming this was important to me. The Average - This TV is an average TV at that price point. Built in audio is as abysmal as we have come to expect from TVs. It handles reflections about as well as must TVs in this price range. Color accuracy and upscaling again fall into the average for the price range (which is to say they aren't incredible, but they aren't so bad that the average person would notice). It is nice that this TV has a QLED screen, so if one is so inclined to adjust settings you can get much better color accuracy. The Bad - the built in GoogleTV operating system is sluggish and buggy. I ended up with the TV in several "home screen" loops where it would try to load the home screen, and then try to load it again over and over again. Also, when I start the TCL Channel App, I cannot exit. Both situations require a hard reset on the TV. My solution was to disable the built in WiFi and plug a Chromecast w/ GoogleTV in. And truthfully with this tier of TV, that should be your go to anyway.

Picture is crisp, sound is excellent for a big screen TV. Took a little bit of adjustment to get the picture to my liking but that would apply for any TV. I feel like I have comparable picture quality to that of the big names as long as it's an HD or 4K signal. Also like the integration with Google TV and other services I subscribe to.

Although I know 8K LED TVs give an excellent viewing experience, the images on this one are sharp and colorful enough for me. The sound is also ok. Overall, very good value for money. The only thing is that the TV turns on by itself at times. I was creeped out at first but later, I read that it happens in Smart TVs.

TCL QLED Stands up to the more expensive TV’s

I wasn’t expecting the quality that this TV has. This TCL QLED side by side with my LG OLED is impressive TCL picture quality definitely stands up to the more expensive name brand TV’s . I highly recommend giving this TCL QLED a try. I’m actually going back to purchase another TCL for my father. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.
