Better TV for the bedroom

I love that it has the Google TV system already built in so I don't need a Chromecast to cast things from my phone to my TV. The picture quality is good and the sound coming from the TV is good as well. For the price and quality I have it 5 stars. I'm not a TV connoisseur so this may not be the same opinion for everybody else, but for me this TV is exactly what I needed.

Delivery fee mishap

However, when I went into Bestbuy to buy my TV, I was told the delivery f e would be free since I lived within 25 miles of the store. Then I get told that there is a delivery fee of $100, Bcs they stopped doing the free delivery within 25 miles. I asked them to order it and they said it would still be a delivery charge of $100. I cancelled my tv purchase with the store and a few days later, I ordered it online WITH free delivery. How does that happen?

Buggy Operating System, but TV has features I want

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Good - I purchased this TV because it was the least expensive TV that supported the gaming features I wanted. It supports HDMI 2.1 VRR, G-Sync, and FreeSync. If you are gaming at 1080p it can hit 120Hz. Since I'll be connecting a budget tier PC to this for some gaming this was important to me. The Average - This TV is an average TV at that price point. Built in audio is as abysmal as we have come to expect from TVs. It handles reflections about as well as must TVs in this price range. Color accuracy and upscaling again fall into the average for the price range (which is to say they aren't incredible, but they aren't so bad that the average person would notice). It is nice that this TV has a QLED screen, so if one is so inclined to adjust settings you can get much better color accuracy. The Bad - the built in GoogleTV operating system is sluggish and buggy. I ended up with the TV in several "home screen" loops where it would try to load the home screen, and then try to load it again over and over again. Also, when I start the TCL Channel App, I cannot exit. Both situations require a hard reset on the TV. My solution was to disable the built in WiFi and plug a Chromecast w/ GoogleTV in. And truthfully with this tier of TV, that should be your go to anyway.

Great TV

The price was also great, but I do have two problems with the TV. One is that there is white light on the top and bottom of the screen, which isn’t very noticeable when watching but it is still a problem with this model it seems, and the fact that I cannot download Xfinity Stream on the TV since it is a Google TV.

Although I know 8K LED TVs give an excellent viewing experience, the images on this one are sharp and colorful enough for me. The sound is also ok. Overall, very good value for money. The only thing is that the TV turns on by itself at times. I was creeped out at first but later, I read that it happens in Smart TVs.

Good picture quality, color and frame rate for my video games, sports and TV shows. It's a Google TV so works with my home automation as well.
