    I just want a TV that works

    I got a great Black Friday deal on this TV, but I can't recommend it. Over time, the frame rate gets progressively worse until it is unwatchable. We're talking 1-2 FPS. A TV restart fixes the issue, but I don't want to restart my TV all the time to work around defects. This is a common problem with smart TVs now, and the standard workaround is to buy an external device like a Roku and connect it over HDMI. I think that would solve some of my problems, but it wouldn't address watching TV over an antenna, which also suffers from the same slower-than-realtime decode.

    Bad tv

    Had this tv not even a full month and its already freaked out and done a pink screen and now has a yellow line going through the middle of the tv. Tv has been in the same spot since day one. Very upset and disappointed

    The TV’s picture quality is decent but the Google OS is absolutely terrible. It’s constantly dropping off the network or updating applications while I’m using them. It will randomly change inputs while I’m using it and needs to be restarted often to get it to work

    TCL products such as this are full of glitches and electrical connection issues. TV failed and would not turn on and in home repair attempt was not successful. TCL replaced the TV and that one has issues as well it powers down unintended and you have to disconnect plug to restart. Stick with LG Samsung and Sony.

    Good TV, BAD connectivity

    I have fought with this TV since I bought it 2 weeks ago. It will not Chromecast. It will not link anything (other than Wi-Fi itself) via Wi-Fi. It will not recognize my Pixel 7 phone. I have 5G cable-less internet from Verizon, maybe that is the issue? Be warned - It has Bluetooth ONLY for headphones, not broader connectivity. If you are just going to plunk this down in the down and use one of the 3 HDMI ports, you should be good. But don't expect a versatile TV.

    I have NEVER had such a terrible user experience on a tv as I have with this. This TV has the WORST software. Constant freezes, stutters, reboots, etc. I bought this as I wanted to use Google TV on it but ended up having to by a Google tv box anyways as this was unusable. It also doesn't work with the TCL soundbar I purchased for it. What a joke.

    TLC does not back their products

    The worst TV ever. Bought 1/22/24..... TLC does not stand behind their products. No replacement for defective TV, no one will come to house to check the TV. They are happy to troubleshoot on the phone the same things over and over making no difference with the problems I and thousands of others report. TV volume fluctuates, horrible picture, screen will become very dark at times even with brightness set on 100% I'll be watching a show and the TV will switch the input. Will pop up saying Antenna not connected. I don't have an antenna, go back to Home Screen on its own, no internet connected . there us no problem with my internet connection on all my devices. Turn TV off and back on, go to setting and change the input again. I have already spent over 5 hours on phone and 3 hours trouble shooting. Save your money

    Not worth the risk...

    This is not a bad TV but I have little to no faith in TCL to honor their warranty. I have a 50" TV from TCL purchased two weeks before this TV and it died under warranty. 30 days later and after a failed repair by TCL, I am still waiting on the TCL 'team' to do SOMETHING to get me a new TV. Don't even think about this brand for your main TV as there are much better brands and support elsewhere...

    Insufficient processor

    We have had continued and ongoing issues with this TV not properly syncing the audio to the visual on the screen. Rebooting the tv, the various applications, updating, and troubleshooting via the TCL website information and forum is not yielding a solution. We literally were told by a Best Buy employee that the processor in this tv is not sufficient to effectively run the applications without this problem, and that this would continue to be an issue. The only solution is to buy a different model tv. The sound quality is an also poor. We purchased a sound bar that is great and solved the sound quality, but not the syncing issue. We had the syncing issue prior to purchasing the sound bar as well.

    This tv has great colors, good for movies but watching football is another story and ironic since the nfl and tcl have partnered together this tv has bad motion blur. Spend the extra $50 and get a Samsung or lg

    Black screen of death after 12 1/2 months... TCL d

    Well I have owned this TV since 11/28/23 and yesterday 12/15/24 on probably it's 12th use only from original purchase, (was placed in a guest room) we got the black screen of death. As we were watching a movie we watched the screen take on what appeared to be a brownish tint before going to black. The sound still works but the screen is dead and of course TCL says sorry you're out of warranty. I should have spent a few hundred dollars more for a Samsung or LG like I have in the past and now I wouldn't have a 50-in paperweight hanging on my wall but I need to take down and get rid of. Thank you TCL for not standing by your products or customers. I will ask Best buy if they will help but I'm not counting on it. If they do I will happily repost with the news but again I don't think this will happen. I would avoid this brand at all costs.

    Horrible Performance

    This is my third TCL. First one (5yrs old) was moved to my garage and I bought a second which died after 2 years. I bought this one as I loved my prior two. This one is horrible. Takes forever to change or open apps. Probably going to throw it away and buy a different o e it is so bad.

    Great price, if you buy this TV I would suggest you buy the warranty. Had TV about a week and I touched the upper right hand corner and TV screen broke. No help from the store at all.

    Had to return - when powered up picture showed cracks in screen could not see cracks until TV was powered up.... Best Buy gave me credit for the return without many questions...

    Ok tv for the price. The Picture is a little washed out though, even playing with the settings. It’s a little slow to load too. But for 250$ it does the job

    Google TV is not as good as I thought. The previous series with the Roku TV is way better. Not only is it because of the better and more user-friendly interface, but it also used to comes with AirPlay. In conclusion, the picture quality is okay for its price. However, anyone looking for a decent TV with built-in AirPlay functionality should not consider this.

    TCL tv review 2 month review

    This TV was promoted by the sales rep there. I get the TV home and it seemed great for the first 2 weeks. Now everytime i load anything, it takes forever. I have an LG in my living room and a samsung in my basement. Both of them work 10x better than this TV. The speakers have a large amount of static during any commercial, they break up randomly as well. My biggest issue is thenresponse time. Scrolling through the menu it takes 4 or 5 seconds sometimes upwards of 10 seconds, (yes i have timed it) to have the tv register what you selected. For example scrolling the home page to get to youtube app, it will take 15 to 20 seconds due to the delay and lag from when i select the button on the remote to actually being highlighted over the app. All i have to do is hit the down arrow 3 times and than hit ok, 20 seconds is insane!

    It’s just okay, since it went in bedroom. Nothing spectacular. I do like the fact that I can listen through Bluetooth. The sound is just okay.
