TCL 55" Q5 UDH Smart Google TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The TCL 55 inch Class Q5 QLED 4K Smart TV is a very good value with good picture quality, that becomes exceptional if you adjust your settings properly. Sound quality is pretty good through the built in speakers. The Google TV interface is very good. My Android phone acts as another remote through the Google TV app. Screen casting works well too.

Most all newer TV’s have good picture. The picture on this television is Very Good. This is my first TCL & will not be my last. For price & quality I will definitely recommend the TCL brand.

big screen meh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.not sure what I was expecting but this falls way short of that. not sure if it's the Android OS (think a roku OS might be better??) or what but everything seems a little off. the initial picture was too dark but I was able to adjust that. next up is trying to get some depth out of the sound but so far no luck, even when connected to a JBL Bluetooth speaker. the picture is at times very choppy and blurry especially when there's lots of motion (or casting). ugh. not impressed. it's also pretty sloppy that the android 12 only has the Nov 23 security patch.

Great Picture Quality, Terrible Quality Control

The picture quality is good with consistent colors, no splotchiness, uniform grays, and high contrast even without the local dimming feature like on the Q7. The biggest issue with the TV and TCL really is the quality control. The first TV had a damaged corner on the metal case that wasn't noticed until I peeled off the screen protector. The box wasn't damaged nor did I scrape it during install so it came from the factory defective. The 2nd TV after exchanging the first had a bad gray spot on the screen that is super noticeable. Had to get a 3rd TV for it to be completely defect free. Good TV but don't expect to get lucky on the first try but luckily best buy's exchange policy made it quick to swap if defective.

Good TV
