    Slow OS and worthless warranty

    Cheap TV but warranty process is a nightmare. TV OS seem to get slower and slower older tv’s are too. I’ve purchased about 20 TV sets. When you have an issue with new tv customer service is HUGE pain. I don’t normally take time to write review but have had issues with multiple sets and warranty is junk. Roll dice with cheap TV or spend money on something with a little better quality..

    This TV is now 2 years old, and the OS is outdated. The performance is shot: the apps take forever to load and function properly

    TCL popped and completely went out in one week

    We had this TV for only a week when we heard a loud pop and smelled burning! It was plugged into a surge protector so we have no idea what happened for it to completely die after only one week! The worst part was when calling Best Buy they changed an extra 20.00 for the next series.

    This TV has frozen four times, failed to connect to the wifi at all, lags with each click, and overall functions worse than the 2016 Roku Smart TV I was trying to replace. This is not worth your money and is an incredibly disappointing purchase.

    Bad UI, super slow, ok picture. I thought this would be similar to an android tv or roku tv, even a fire tv would have been better than this.

    I returned it as was very complicated to set up and never did get the voice remote to work. Spent about 2 hours on phone with TCL and still didn't get it working!

    I like the TV - all the channels it has to offer without subscribing to cable. Great color and contrast. One con: remote control does not always work properly - for example, I press the antenna tv button, but the TV displays Google TV. I have to repeatedly unplug the TV and press the power button on the TV to correct this error. It's annoying. I would like a replacement remote.

    Works well as a "dumb" tv, too!

    Lightweight and well made. Great picture and really LOUD sound. We were going to get a sound bar but found that we do not need one. We do not have this TV connected to the internet, but rather use it as a regular, "dumb" tv. It was really easy to set up, simply bypass the initial set-up screens. Nice remote as well, but we wound up using a universal remote which was also easy to program with it.

    This is the second model I've bought from Best Buy this year (along with an even bigger Samsung). That's because it serves two purposes: It allows me to bounce in and out of streaming services and live TV, a big part of my late night. It also has made it easy for my wife to find what she's looking for instead of having to figure out a remote. The picture is great, the sound is terrific.
