TCL 55” TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, it is a nice TV and justify the cost. It also does not have lot of issue so definitely that is a plus point. Display, brightness and colour scheme could have been better.

Cheap Junk
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV itself is okay, while the Google interface is nowhere near as nice as Roku, figured I would give it a try. Unfortunately, the remote control box won’t stay attached to the bottom of the TV (clips won’t hold it). TCL is saying it’s not covered by the warranty even though it’s not damage. Will be the last TCL product I ever buy!

Excellent value QLED TV with impressive performanc
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TCL Q6 delivers outstanding 4K picture quality for the price. Its QLED panel produces vibrant, accurate colors and strong brightness, making HDR content really pop in normal lighting conditions. The Google TV interface is smooth, intuitive, and packed with streaming options, and setup was quick and simple. Gaming performance is surprisingly good — low input lag and support for 120 Hz VRR modes at 1080p/1440p make it responsive enough for consoles. While it’s technically a 60 Hz panel, motion handling is solid for movies and casual play. Contrast and black levels are decent for the class, though without local dimming, dark-room performance is just okay. Sound quality is serviceable, but pairing it with a soundbar makes a big difference. Overall, the Q6 hits a sweet spot between price and performance — perfect for streaming, gaming, and everyday use without breaking the bank.

An easy choice
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros 1) Picture quality is great! Moved up from an older (2018) Onida 4K LCD TV and I can tell the difference in the brightness and picture quality. 2) Price - Perfectly good for a budget TV (bought at 299 before taxes). 3) Smart TV features - we love the AirPlay feature with Apple products. We use it to watch movies and mirror screens when discussing/planning trips and zoom calls with the family. 4) Packaging - packaging was secure and well packed to avoid any damage in transit 5) Gaming - can do 120fps @ 1440p on the playstation 5! I have tested this and looks great. You can play games at 40 fps that support it (Spiderman 2 and Miles Morales for instance) and the experience is very close to a 60fps game. Cons: 1) Not a con per se, but don't be surprised at the lack of high quality sound. It's somewhat tinny when compared my older TV which had some good bass to it. Mids aren't great either. Invest in a sound bar. 2) The TV panel doesn't do well with reflections (see image) - so don't keep any lamps/lights or even a window behind you or keep them turned off Overall a great purchase. Just don't expect amazing HDR quality but then again, you only notice what's missing when you compare TV panels side-by-side.

So far so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is not an expert review and I lay no claim to such but want to give you an honest review. Bought the TCL Q6 55" after Christmas to upgrade our faithful Sony 46" TV. Picked it up in the local Best Buy and did the install myself. The box fit comfortably in the back of my Subaru Outback too. It's not too heavy but two people make the job a lot simpler - you don't want to drop the thing and I did watch the installation/unboxing video that Best Buy sent and I recommend you do likewise - don't want to crack the screen. I don't have an extremely large space for a TV so a 55" was as large as I could go. I have always bought premium brand TVs and my last two have been Sony. But my old Sony is still working 10 years on. That's not the purpose of this review, it really lay with the fact that this TV blows my old Sony out of the water. Certainly it wasn't 4K, but it was 1080p. I was looking to consolidate remote controls and make it easier for my wife as I have cable, Roku, DVD and AV theater all to contend with and none of them played nice with each other. Before you jump, a Logitech Harmony still didn't solve the remote problem. So let me get to it. I read reviews and watched YouTube reviews until I was in analysis paralysis and when I saw this budget TV rated higher than it's competitors and comparatively on margin with much more expensive brands it was time to pull the trigger. The reviews don't lie. It is a fantastic TV and I didn't realize what I was missing with my old 1080p TV. Still have to use two remotes for the time being, but at least now I have the option of a universal remote, may have to dust off the old Harmony. The TV has HDMI CEC which offers some control over HDMI connected devices such as on/off, volume, etc. using the TV remote and it works very well. There is a caveat - while the TV itself is easy to set up, if you are coming from Roku you have to set up all your apps again to the Google platform. It's a bit of a pain and time consuming. Altogether it took me about two hours to set up/update the TV and migrate all the apps, and I have several - as I said we mostly stream. Ran into one app that was a pain to migrate and that was Britbox - you have to go to the Play Store and download the app to your TV. If an app is not present in the app list you have to go to the Play Store and it is not explained anywhere in the installation guide. There are Youtube videos to show how to get apps from the Play Store by going through Settings on your TV so don't get too frustrated if you don't find things at first. Navigating the apps is pretty straightforward too, no real learning curve there. One other issue encountered was voice synch. Most channels were fine but Apple TV was terribly out of synch. There are about three or four different settings, PCM, Dolby, etc., but just stick with "Auto", once I switched to Auto no more synch problems. Speaking of sound, it is plenty loud enough through the onboard speakers, but not the quality I like, so I run it through an Onkyo AV receiver and Bose speakers, YMMV. The last thing is brightness. We use it in a room that is very well lit during the daytime and it is plenty bright and have to contend with reflections from windows which would affect even the brightest of TVs, but the wash out is fairly negligible. So if you read a review or questions about how many nits, it's plenty bright. We are really enjoying the experience so far and since it's only a week into ownership maybe not long enough to pass judgment but usually electronics work or they don't. We don't have any strange artifacts, lines or missing pixels. Oh by the way, we have found that the picture setting "movie" works best for general viewing. Not a gamer so can't shed any light on that, sorry. I don't regret this purchase in the least and do highly recommend this TV. If it changes I'll update the review.

A really, really good product at a great price!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Talk about a great deal! I wasn't sure what to expect with this TCL TV. I have a Sony at home and it's a really good TV. However, I was blown away by how easy it was to set this up. I bought it for a 10'x10' bedroom, so I didn't need anything too big. The 55" screen fits the room perfectly. What I wasn't expecting was the sound quality. I don't have a sound bar or speakers for the TV, 'cause I don't need them. The TV sound works really well. It gets loud without distorting, perfect for sports or movies, and the screen picture is really sharp. The best part? The price. I paid under $300.

Q6 Great entry level QLED Bang for the $
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a great starter t.v. for anyone looking to upgrade to QLED T.V. Build quality is good rivaling more expensive t.v. in it's class without spending a fortune. Google t.v. is must fo me and this one doesn't disappoint. Easy to set up and the remote control is intuitive and has a good seel to it. I just needed more than 60hz for my PS5 pro. but when watching movies with Q6 is solid I tell you.

Fine for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good/Okay overall, the Google OS can be slow at times, Wifi issues will pop up randomly. It's fine for under 200 with all of the features packed in, but I can't see the TV's longevity lasting too long

Great picture for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been an avid Samsung TV household for many years. After several issues and horrible warranty experiences we said no more. This TV was supposed to be a kids playroom tv. Ha! After seeing the clarity and colors on this baby it is my gaming TV. Kid gets the hand me down! TV remote is a little bit on the excessively long side and you almost have to have direct line of sight for it to work, but everything has little flukes. Volume buttom is very touchy. Hold it down and prepare to blow your eardrums out. Like I said, little flukes. Great buy for the price.
