The motion on this tv is class leading. I've had Samsung and Sony mid to high range models and this TCL tv is way better for motion. With motion settings near max watching movies looks incredible. Dialogue is easy to hear with the TV's speakers and the google tv interface is super-fast. The tv hits way above its price point and has a picture quality of TVs twice its price. It's Awesome for both pc and console gaming with High fps support. I've never had a TCL product before, but so far, I'm very impressed.

Coming from someone who typically buys higher-end LG-OLED stuff, I was impressed by the picture of this tv. It’s not OLED, obviously, but has a very vivid picture with full HDR/Dolby Vision support. The overall build quality feels fine, but it’s really the picture quality and features that make this tv stand out at this price. Full array local dimming, as well as a native 120hz panel under $500 is a steal.

amazing TV good for gaming and watching movies great sound

I have been blown away by this TV! The picture quality is really good for both gaming on my PS5 and for watching TV. I love the built in Alexa functionality with all the streaming apps built in. Also, a nice touch is that the remote also illuminates, making it easy to see what buttons you are pushing when it’s dark.

The 120hz refresh is everything at this size. Crisp colors, fantastic value for a 55 inch!

Pros: My TV was getting week on brightness and Tom's Guide gave this one thumbs up. I agree. It looks great. It includes Google TV is you are interested and has 4 HDMI slots but number 4 is also for ARC to return audio to an AV Dolby Amplifier. I have a ROKU and Dish network and they work well. Cons: I have an ONKYO AV amp with several HDMI slots. When I connected to the TCL HDMI input we found that the DVD player would not transmit through the amp to the TV. I called TCL customer support (Philipines?) and was informed that I would have to connect the DVD direct to the TV. This is my third LED TV and it worked on the others passing through just fine.

I decided to upgrade our 10 year old family room tv and chose this one for the 120 hrtz to maximize play on ps5. My whole family is very satisfied with this tv. The speakers go much louder than our previous tv. I can't believe how clear everything is watching on this tv. You can see every little detail down to individual stitches and hairs when playing on the ps5. My teenage sons are very happy with this upgrade. Awesome buy. Wish I'd have gotten it sooner. Also got it on sale which made it even better.

The tv is stunning, beautiful picture in every way possible. The only downsides so far are that you can connect the TV to Alexa, but you can’t turn the TV on using Alexa… you can turn the off, volume up, volume down, pause, play. But, after all the research I did, you cannot for whatever reason… Alexa states that “TV does not support this action.” And also, the very last thing is that sometimes the TV will not turn on and I have to get up and unplug the tv and plug it back in… those are the only two things so far that are very inconvenient.

The image quality and refresh rate are very good. However, lag and freezing may occur during application transitions.

Excellent TV. More than a review for the 55" Q7 series, I decided to write this review to Best Buy. Your know you are dealing with a real store not just an online presence. I bought the TV online. I pick it up at the store. Set it up. No power. Call the vendor support line. Definite no power. Call the store. Returned and delivered. Replacement, I set it up. Turn on. Everything works. No harm no foul. Service when it is needed from the start. The TV is amazing. TCL much better than Samsung, on par with LG in some categories.

Bought after owning the 85” as my main tv. This 55” in the bedroom is grest for watching movies, and gaming st 120hz. I love it so much. Bright and clear 4K! Checks all the xbox series x boxes! Happy with it

Using it with PS5 and the gaming on this tv is amazing. The colors , contrast , brightness are great. 120hz screen to add . Game mode and vrr

Have owned for about 3 weeks now. Picture quality is great. Audio is certainly usable for me but some may want to invest in a sound bar, etc. Gaming is great as well but have not tested the full potential this TV will support Replaced a Hisense that was driving me nuts. Remote quit working, would drop WiFi and I mean it would turn wifi off on its own. Anyway, already had a TCL I actually use as a computer monitor and has been perfect. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.

Massive improvement over an LCD tv would recommend also for the high refresh rate

This TCL 55" Q7 CLASS 4K smart tv is everything you could possibly be looking for. I am amazed at the quality of the picture and it really is so easy to setup too. It was an enjoyable experience to use the remote because it made sense and was not at all complicated, easy to use and has all the features you could possibly need. Not only is the picture vivid but the sound is fantastic quality as well.

This TV has been such a great purchase. The picture quality is awesome. I have been wanting to get a 120hz for the longest time. I’m an extremely happy with this purchase. I have recommended it to everyone talking about a new TV. One of the best electronic purchases I have ever made.

Reviewing a TV only days after you opened it may or may not be useful. However, I am pleased with the picture quality, the relative ease in setting it up and its features. It is a decent TV for the money paid.

It’s easy to use and the features are all there, but compared to a Hisense TV, the feature set isn’t nearly as adjustable or as easy to use. It’s not to say it’s a bsd TV though, as it’s a great TV and a giant leap above the ser it replaced. Setup was straightforward. The feet were easy to install and mounting was easy enough, though I wish this came with properly-sized screws itself. Setting up Google TV with the Google Home app on an iPhone went quickly, but the addition of the TCL Home app was a little annoying. Make sure you plug your devices into the correct HDMI ports. Computers should always be HDMI 1, as that’s your 4k/144 port. PS5 or Xbox Series X consoles go into HDMI 2 for 4k/120 support. HDMI eARC sound bars and receivers go into HDMI 4, but this layout can be detrimental for setups with receivers that can do 4k/120 as the eARC port is only 4k/60 capable. The big thing I noticed during setup is that the picture has a very, very strong cool bias and overdriven red tones. While adjusting color temperature helps (-3 to -5 warm), using 2-point color adjustment fixes the everything without needing a color adjustment tool like a Datacolor Spyder or Portrait Displays CalMan. If you want to do 20 point, you need one of these tools, and I’m glad that feature is at least there for those who need advanced picture calibration. As far as usage goes, this is a solid smart TV. Google TV’s interface is solid and the TCL tweaks are a nice touch; the input panel gives you direct access to specific apps as well as the inputs. Surfing antenna TV is a breeze and the ATSC 1.0 tuner means that you won’t get locked out of over-the-air broadcasts as long as they’re still in ATSC 1.0 format. (If you really want ATSC 3, you have options). The remote itself is a real highlight. While I would have loved to see it be rechargeable, the backlighting is bright enough to be useful without being annoyingly bright. The only real letdown is with the TV audio. For all the professional review sites that talked it up, I found it flat and bland. You’ll want a sound bar with this TV if audio quality matters. The surround effects with Dolby Atmos and DTS X were convincing, though far from amazing. For the price though, you can’t beat this TV. FALD, 4k/144 and 1080p/240, and a well thought-out backlit remote make this a winner.
