Excellent for Gaming, Mediocre for Upscaling

Fast, responsive, clear, and a great color pallete. However i will say once you start streaming 1080p content, the upscaling is flat out bad. 4k streams look very good, however I would only buy this tv if you want to use it for gaming, otherwise take your money to Sony.

Awsome Picture!

So i ended up buying it and this tv is amazing. The picture you cant even tell the difference from an oled. I highly recommend you give this a shot and save some money.

Is a great TV at a good price. It has a healthy number of settings options to adjust as you need for streaming/gaming. That is not something TVs at this price always have, so I was pleasantly surprised. When I need another TV in the future for another room, I will start with TCLs.

Random Restarts and Power-Offs

Within a couple of weeks the screen froze: there was still audio for a few seconds, then the TV restarted itself. I thought maybe it needed firmware updates, but it was already up to date, and it’s done it four more times since (five times in less than two months). Earlier this week it powered itself off completely. Overheating isn’t the issue - in at least three of the instances the TV had been on less than an hour. Odd connections aren’t the issue - in the first few instances it only had HDMI and Optical Audio, the most recent incidents it had HDMI ARC only. I’m returning it for a more reputable brand.

Yes I am a nerd. But it does have a fast warm up and connection time. 4 hdmi outlets are perfect since I have multiple xbox's and other consoles that are hooked up.

A budget TV punching way above it's weight

I have been using it on "Smart HDR" with fairly solid results. It struggles with animation when the motion blurring features are on, but gaming is next level quality. 20 hours on Starfield looks incredible on this TV.
