Great TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price of the TV it performs and looks very good. The Smart Features are very responsive with no delay, however time will tell with updates. Bought this TV to use as a sim racing/gaming monitor due to the rated 120hz @ 4k. For some reason the TV will not support this resolution on PC it will constantly flash and display the input. I have tried to run this on different cables and computers with no success. I am waiting for TCL to hopefully come out with an update to address this issue if possible. It will run 2k resolution at 120hz no problem. I cannot see no visible clouding in the panel and the black level is very good. This almost has OLED performance for 1/3 the price. I find the speakers to also be decent. I currently have it wall mounted and I don't find the need add a sound bar (For what I use it for in my office) the speakers provide just enough rumble. If you can get one of these TV's on sale it is a great value. If they can get the 4k PC support 120hz working properly I would change my rating to 5 stars.

Decent, but pixel issue
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box, the TV looks great and was very easy to set up. Imagine it’s an isolated issue, but there is a small 1/2”x1/8” strip of dead pixels on the lower-right part of the screen. We were very careful while setting up the TV so it’s more frustrating than anything to have to take it back to the store to exchange for a new one. Apart from that issue, the picture looks great and the TV is very responsive to the remote which is a huge upgrade from our old TV. Will update review after exchanging for the same model.

Great visuals for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to upgrade my TV and I must say I'm very happy with the images of this TV. My video games look freaking amazing (God of War: Ragnarok is gorgeous!). Movies look great as well. Sports I need to keep working to get the right look as it can very slightly (more on basketball I've noticed). The internal speakers are just fine, though going from that to my soundbar is kind of a pain in the rear. My old TV would just require me turning on my soudbar. With this TV, I have to open a guide, select audio, change it to optical and then it turns off the internal speakers and is only my sound system. So that is my one "negative" of it. Also Google won't turn on and turn the TV for me. But it's pretty good using all the other commands. Fairly intelligent and gives me what I want. This is a good TV for the price IMHO

TCL 55" QLED
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just bought during black friday sale and happy so far. The color and contrast quality is really good. The setup was pretty standard for an android TV. The remote is very easy to use. I like the idea that the TV stand can be mounted both straight and inverted way to ensure that this TV can also fit on a smaller TV stand. It has lots of connectivity options and buch of apps pre-installed. I would definitely recommend this.

Good t.v.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not bad for a tv on sale. Im spoiled by a different brand, but the this t.v.looks amazing with my xbox games. Sometimes i feel its a bit grainy but that might be the source im watching. The remote is awesome! It lights up when you pick it up or move it so you can find it in the dark. Great t.v.for the price point.

Delivers competitive gaming level
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For what we got this TV for it does the job very well and for this price it is the easiest way to get a 120hz tv for gaming. My sons and I use the upstairs tv for gaming and also watch movies. The 120hz is legit, we are able to add another gaming machine to the room and play xbox and games like rocket league and fortnight and COD competitively. It feels like we're playing on a PC w a monitor. The micro LED and 120hz are done really well. The colors and brightness are good. It's not the level of the Samsung we were looking at, but we saved $350 (all my other tvs are Samsung lol)... but for what we needed, man this thing delivers and I'm happy for trying a different brand to save some $$. I recommend this tv for the features and price point, nice job TCL, welcome to the TV club.

Great upgrade from a non-4K TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great upgrade from a non-4K TV. Upscaling isn't great but not bad, VRR gaming does have issues so either of those things are a priority then pass. Overall, GoogleTV works great and the TV looks wonderful. The sound, run thru a proper speaker setup - NOT the built in speakers - is really nice as well via eARC. If you need an affordable, mid-tier TV this is a solid option WHEN ON SALE. At the full $750, maybe look to Sony or Samsung but on sale at $650 or $550 (which is what I grabbed it at) - hard to complain about the TV. Built in speakers are fine but do get plenty loud but all TV built in speakers suck so get a soundbar or a receiver+speakers

Amazing TV held back by the google TV software.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The specs of this TV are outstanding, exactly what is needed to make full use of the series x or the ps5. Variable refresh rate, HDR, 120hz refresh rate, all great things. The colors are also great and contrast is helped greatly by the zoned dimming. However all of that is held back by the absolutely spammy, congested, and overall cluttered google tv software. Like I love android, and i love that the software has a lot of potential, but the default home experience is awful. You can use the TV without any of the smart functionality but as of yet I've not been able to get dolby vision to work through my ps5, only through the built in apps in the Google software. So for now i struggle on with both.

Awesome Tv ( for the cost)
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far this tv has been great. Good picture quality, refresh rate, and decent audio. I mostly use it when gaming. While there's not many games that utilize 120hz the ones that do look crisp and colorful. It has good but not great contrast when compared to an Oled, but will definitely be better than any standard 4k led backlight television you can find. A great choice for casual veiwers and those not looking to spend Oled money.

Great TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great TV for the price. The QLED screen with a fast refresh rate, good black levels, all the HDR specs, local dimming zones, all adds up to a great experience. I bought as a replacement tv for my sons room after his Roku tv died. I was hesitant about the GoogleTV part of the TV but after setting everything up, the fine grain control over the content and access to things like schedules and mature content was above expectations.

A Winner!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great color & brightness, Minimal glare in bright room. The Google setup is a bit frustrating. Also for me, to much add content for other shows on home screen. However. there is an option to remove those in settings. I The remote backlight feature is a nice add-on, how ever I personally think to many buttons. To much redundancy in those buttons. Another frustrating feature for me is "Settings". Not a big deal, but an easier path to the settings would have been nice. Going back and forth to change a setting because it times out is tiresome. I say that because it has taken some time to get the TV settings tuned in. Especially if you watch a lot of "regular TV" (cable). The "upscaling" is pretty good, considering the quality or lack of same from our cable company. The speakers have good sound, but I did hook up my stream bar from old TV within a few days. All in all, pretty good TV. The color and brightness make it a winner!

TCL Review
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the screen size and ability to handle dark images. GameMaster Mode is amazing, especially for games that can utilize 120hz refresh rates. While it does have a 120hz refresh rate, I discovered that there are no streaming services or cable services that stream in 120hz. While the refresh rate does still help with some of the motion blur, I didn’t realize I wouldn’t be able to fully utilize the 120hz refresh except in rare scenarios. Overall, the TV performs very well and has great picture quality.

Great TV for the low price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this 55” TCL Q7 a few days ago and so far so good. Picture quality is decent although color accuracy out of the box is mediocre. I have calibration settings below per a reviewer on YouTube. As of now the picture looks better after these picture settings are implemented. I do have a few other gripes so far like watching 4K UHD movies on my Sony UHD player not looking great when using Dolby Vision. I use HDR 10 instead and prefer it right now when watching my UHD discs. Also my soundbar doesn’t turn off when powering off the TV and sometimes doesn’t turn on when powering up the TV. Also not a fan of the motion on this TV for movies but I’ve noticed that most newer TVs have the same issue with motion handling by stuttering on pan camera shots. I just messed with the motion settings and changed it to Blur Reduction: 1 and Judder Reduction: 3. I might lower the Judder to 2 bc I hate the Soap Opera effect and sometimes the 3 Judder setting might be too smooth for motion handling. Some things that I really like about this TV is its remote. Buttons light up when you pick up the remote so no more fumbling with the remote in the dark. Little things like this go a long way. Also another plus is that the HDMI (E)ARC input is a HDMI 2.0 input so you truly get 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs (Inputs 1 & 2) for 120hz gaming. Unlike my Sony OLED that annoyingly takes up the HDMI 2.1 input as also being an (E)ARC input. Another great perk is having actual storage capacity like 24GB compared to some of these TVs only giving you like 5GB (which is ridiculous). And last thing is it’s a Google operating TV which I love. I highly recommend TVs that utilize Google because you get more app control settings like Force Stop for example. Plus its user interface is clean and simple or at least it is in my opinion.. Overall I’m happy with this TV especially for the sale price of $448. Below are the calibration settings I mentioned earlier. Calibration settings are not universal and don’t work the same for each TV (so every user will probably have to make some more fine tunings to get their preferred picture) but I’m more happy with the color accuracy now. Also I’m not experiencing the picture settings issue with them resetting like some users have stated but it’s only been about 5 days so we’ll see.. Calibration settings for “Movie” 2 points: R Gain -2 G gain 0 B gain -16 R off set -2 G off set -2 B off set -3 20 points: Interval 4 Red -3 Green 1 Blue -4
