I bought this for my gaming room. I play on consoles and it is perfect. I added a soindbar with a subwoofer, but the built in subs are pretty great on their own.

I'm very happy with my TV... My kids play there games and the TV automatically changes into game mode . I think that's great!!

I purchased this 55" TCL QM5K from Best Buy as a gift for my mother-in-law, who was coming from an aging 55" Samsung 4K TV from around 2011. The difference was immediately noticeable. She is not a tech person at all, so ease of use was important. Google TV is simple, responsive, and easy for her to navigate without needing constant help. Picture quality is a big step up, with better brightness, contrast, and color compared to her old TV. The Mini-LED backlighting really helps, especially in everyday viewing. I also appreciate that even as an entry-level Mini-LED TV, the QM5K includes decent 2.1 channel audio. It is a noticeable improvement over the nearly 15-year-old 2.0 channel speakers in her old Samsung, and more than adequate for casual TV watching without needing a soundbar right away. Overall, this was a great value upgrade and a perfect choice for someone who wants modern TV features, better picture and sound, without needing to be tech savvy. Very happy with this purchase.

Just awesome, best in the price range. Never lags and easy to surf. Google assist is fast and friendly. 4k UHD videos look super awesome and radiant and makes the watching experience more beautiful. Screencast or connecting phone is also fast which i liked. Light to move and easy to install on wall

My last TV was a JVC 40" LED from 13 years ago so this TCL 55" QM5K was an unexpected pleasure. The colors are explosive and vivid. The detail is very distinct and specific. The sound blows me away. It is not necessary to even turn this thing up to 50% to experience awesome sound. No need for a soundbar here. This TV is not quite perfect because I do see some faults when there are graphics combined with lots of motion. This is certainly not a deal breaker and I am overly satisfied with this TV. Sports, movies, and regular broadcasts come in clear and brilliant. My game console is an old Xbox 360 and it really performs great. As far as a newer gaming system - I'm not sure. There are many functions and settings I'm still learning but I think there is something here for everyone. Great brightness and lights up the room I have it in. It's actually overwhelming at times since I was used to that old JVC. I highly recommend this for anyone on a budget (great price when I purchased on sale) that wants a high quality TV. I purchased the 55" and have no doubt the entire series is a winner. I didn't believe a TV of this caliber was available at a sweet price like this. I used Curbside Pickup from Best Buy so this entire purchase process was effortless. BRAVO to Best Buy and TCL for making me very happy.

I’m very impressed with this 55-inch TCL TV. The picture quality is excellent—sharp, vibrant, and clear—and the brightness is more than enough even in a well-lit room. Sound quality is also surprisingly good for built-in speakers, with clear dialogue and decent depth without immediately needing a soundbar. Mounting was easy and hassle-free; it worked perfectly with a generic Amazon wall mount. Setup overall was quick and user-friendly. The only downside I’ve run into is with the YouTube Premium promotion. It only works if you’ve never had YouTube Premium on that specific Google account, so I had to create a new account to use it.

Might be the best bang for the buck in the miniLED class at this size group. Fits our purpose (garage space) perfectly. We did find an imperfection in a few pixels but you really have to be looking for them. Love the placement of the ports and the light weight of the unit meant I could mount it by myself. The bootup is a bit on the slower side and the WiFi controller seems to disconnect on boot but then it reconnects after a few seconds. Picture is superb, as you'd expect from a miniLED and it handles the brightness of a mid-day in the garage very well.

Picture is amazing. Replaced one of my 42” LED TVs and this was the perfect size for the bedroom. Mini-LED is brighter and picture modes are set perfect for what I use it for, watching sports and movies. Sound quality is excellent, was thinking I would have to connect a soundbar but for the room size 15X30 internal speakers did the job.

I brought this tv to replace a Sony 77” A80K OLED that died after my two year warranty was up. There are a lot of written reviews and video reviews on youtube out there saying this TV rivals OLED TVs. And it does not. For playing next gen consoles or pc gaming, its is gorgeous and does a great job. For watching stuff in Dolby Vision or HDR, it looks really good as well. But if your watching shows like Modern Family or any other show, they all have that soap opera effect that you cant get rid of. For those that dont mind it, you’ll be fine but i can’t stand it and theres no way to completely turn the interpolazation off. To be clear, the picture is crystal clear when watching them, it just looks like you’re watching a soap opera. And for a 120hz panel, there is a lot of motion blur when trying to watch sports whether it is basketball or baseball, there is a lot of motion blur. If you just want to play games and watch Dolby Vision content, it is a really good tv. But it does not compete with OLED for watching sports and not having that soap opera effect. I had to try it because i got it on a crazy sale for $2,199 instead of $3,799 but i returned it today and got the 83” LG G4 instead. For a lot of people out there, this TV will probably be a great TV if you dont mind the soap opera effect or care that much about sports and thats why i gave it four stars.

Overall very satisfied with this tv even though it wasnt bought for myself. The picture quality was beyond what I was expecting even given TCLs leaps in picture quality over the last 6 years. The tv itself was very bright and vivid which was essential to my purpose getting it for my grandmother for her birthday. Further it was nice and quick after the setup was performed by the geek squad installer in which it took less time than stated which is a big plus in my personal play book and it was nice and easy to show off how it worked and get my grandmother comfortable with it

TCL is continuing to grow and evolve in the TV space. Once a budget brand with budget features, the QM5K line is a good mix between budget and high end features. This TV regularly goes on sale and can be found for under $500. The Mini LED structure is a bit fuzzy at close range but if you are watching a 55 inch TV from 1 foot away, you probably bought the wrong TV. Normal viewing distance yields a clear and quality picture. The built in Google TV features is great since Chromecast's are becoming a thing of the past. The software is responsive and reliable. Overall, a great TV if you don't want to spend $1000+ on a similar TV from a different brand.

This TV is so much better than I thought it would be considering the price. I don't know if a $1,000 TV would look much better but I know I am totally satisfied with this purchase. Great picture and sound. The Google TV works great and even better that it's built in. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This is a great TV ! I found myself in a pickle when my TV died it was only 5years old that’s a first …so disappointing in old tv . But this new one was easy to set up and get operational and the legs sat perfectly and not too wide for my stand . The picture is clear and lifelike…and the football games are live action!

1st. Start wih excellent customer service at the Augusta, Maine location. Knowledgeable associates provided positive feedback about the TV. EASY set with no frustration. Great TV, could not ask for better colors, apps, and sound quality. Yes you buy from a big box store, but Best Buy wants to earn your trust not just the sale.
