My last TV was a JVC 40" LED from 13 years ago so this TCL 55" QM5K was an unexpected pleasure. The colors are explosive and vivid. The detail is very distinct and specific. The sound blows me away. It is not necessary to even turn this thing up to 50% to experience awesome sound. No need for a soundbar here. This TV is not quite perfect because I do see some faults when there are graphics combined with lots of motion. This is certainly not a deal breaker and I am overly satisfied with this TV. Sports, movies, and regular broadcasts come in clear and brilliant. My game console is an old Xbox 360 and it really performs great. As far as a newer gaming system - I'm not sure. There are many functions and settings I'm still learning but I think there is something here for everyone. Great brightness and lights up the room I have it in. It's actually overwhelming at times since I was used to that old JVC. I highly recommend this for anyone on a budget (great price when I purchased on sale) that wants a high quality TV. I purchased the 55" and have no doubt the entire series is a winner. I didn't believe a TV of this caliber was available at a sweet price like this. I used Curbside Pickup from Best Buy so this entire purchase process was effortless. BRAVO to Best Buy and TCL for making me very happy.

I’m very impressed with this 55-inch TCL TV. The picture quality is excellent—sharp, vibrant, and clear—and the brightness is more than enough even in a well-lit room. Sound quality is also surprisingly good for built-in speakers, with clear dialogue and decent depth without immediately needing a soundbar. Mounting was easy and hassle-free; it worked perfectly with a generic Amazon wall mount. Setup overall was quick and user-friendly. The only downside I’ve run into is with the YouTube Premium promotion. It only works if you’ve never had YouTube Premium on that specific Google account, so I had to create a new account to use it.

Love this purchase! Very vibrant, colorful and realistic! I came from another 55 inch tv to this one and I can instantly tell the difference. I feel like I am up close and personal to all of the actors on my show. And see them clearer than I ever have. My old tv was a fire tv and I was nervous of the transition to google tv , but it was a quick learning process and I prefer it so much more. The layout is great and easy to navigate and find new shows.

Love this TV! I went in to get an LG OLED but, I couldn’t bring myself to pay that price so after talking to an employee at Best Buy, I went with this TCL and have zero regrets! Great picture, easy to use, it’s great for anyone on a budget.

I decided to take the rusk on a new-ish brand and and so far so good. Set up was quick and easy enough. The UI is responsive and easy to navigate. Picture quality is great (granted I was upgrading from a 7 year old Insignia 4K but still). I agree that the sound isn't amazing but show me a TV that has great sound. Overall for the price I think it's a good purchase...I still got an extended warranty though

I have only had this TV for a few weeks since it was a 2025 holiday purchase, but so far it has been working wonderfully. The picture quality is excellent, and the QD Mini LED technology really does feel like a noticeable step up without having to pay OLED level prices. Our living room is on the darker side, so I cannot fully speak to how it performs in very bright rooms. That said, in low light or for nighttime movie watching, it looks fantastic. Colors are vibrant, contrast is strong, and blacks look impressively deep without losing detail. The sound quality is good, though I planned to use it with a surround sound system, so audio was not a deciding factor for me. The Google TV interface is easy to navigate and responsive, and overall the value for the price feels excellent. I cannot speak to gaming performance since we are not a gaming household, but across all the movies and TV series we have watched so far, everything has looked spectacular.

I didn't even get this on sale, but I'm not complaining. It was worth every penny, and then some. People are rather stingy in their opinions of the quality of this TV, although that may be a sign of how good TVs have become. I've owned pretty much everything except OLEDs, including a $2,700 plasma (all 36" of it, whoo hoo) and I am just so impressed by the color saturation and detail of this TV. Just phenomenal. Even old black and white noir movies are more fun to watch. And although most people will get at least a soundbar with this, the sound can be adjusted to be pretty darn good, except for bass of course. Also, I didn't wind up adjusting my set to "movie" as I've previously done, and as recommended by internet reviewers for this TV. I just used the standard setting and bumped up the warmth a couple of notches. Of course, that's just me. Only complaint is the bluetooth connection keeps having to be reset for the remote, but that's a small thing. Pretty impressive for someone whose first TV was a 17" black and white round Philco.

Overall very satisfied with this tv even though it wasnt bought for myself. The picture quality was beyond what I was expecting even given TCLs leaps in picture quality over the last 6 years. The tv itself was very bright and vivid which was essential to my purpose getting it for my grandmother for her birthday. Further it was nice and quick after the setup was performed by the geek squad installer in which it took less time than stated which is a big plus in my personal play book and it was nice and easy to show off how it worked and get my grandmother comfortable with it

Love the color and brightness of this TV. TCL has definitely improved over the LED technology. Love the remote!! Very user friendly Google TV and great value for the price. Definitely would recommend and buy another in the future!

I had a fire TV and was looking to upgrade to qhd and when I saw how vibrant this TCL was opposed to fire TV qhd I made my decision. The TCL was more vibrant better operating system sound was clearer and surprisingly loud because of its 2 subs in the back and has a 240hz frame rate with gaming mode TCL will be my budget brand of choice from now on

I mounted this TV outside to watch sports and some movies outside. I’ll say that even in bright (not direct) sunlight this TV still has a great picture. We watched a football game and the speakers are more than adequate for listening from far across my yard. I’m surprised how much TVs have advanced, and especially TCL. I have a QM7k inside with my Xbox connected and it’s phenomenal. I would definitely recommend the QM5K if you’re shopping for a mid level TV that performs beyond others in the same price/performance range.

Just awesome, best in the price range. Never lags and easy to surf. Google assist is fast and friendly. 4k UHD videos look super awesome and radiant and makes the watching experience more beautiful. Screencast or connecting phone is also fast which i liked. Light to move and easy to install on wall

Pre Christmas price, was reviewed as good as or better than similar Samsung. After a month of use, I say I got a good deal, just swapped my Xfinity for a 4K STB and they talked to each other fine. Sound is OK - Speakers are on back and am going to get a Dolby/DTS soundbar so no issue. Overall they sound OK. I don't like the 5 second delay before it shows content but for < $325 out the Door, I'll live with it. Picture is excellent. Now I have to get a 4K Dolby/DTS DVD Player. I haven't noticed any "blooming", just watched a couple of Avengers shows (XFinity) shadows were good, color great, TCL has a winner.

I really enjoy this panel. If your not gaming and just watching tv and movies and streaming its perfect for that. The brightness is pretty insane. I spent some time tweaking the setting theres a lot. The bulit in speakers are great if your just using it as a bedroom tv very loud and have enough bass. If you can get it on sale its a wonderful tv for your streaming media needs.

TV is very clear and looks amazing. The only issue that I have had with this TCL Google TV and my other TCL QLED Google TV is that it disconnects and reconnects from the internet randomly. On my other TV, I ended up putting a Roku streaming stick on it and it has had no issues since that. I did read some other reviews and they suggested creating a guest Wi-Fi network and now that I have done that, it has been working better.

1st. Start wih excellent customer service at the Augusta, Maine location. Knowledgeable associates provided positive feedback about the TV. EASY set with no frustration. Great TV, could not ask for better colors, apps, and sound quality. Yes you buy from a big box store, but Best Buy wants to earn your trust not just the sale.

The picture and sound of this set have exceeded my expectations. It replaced a 7 year old set that had been very good, but this one far surpasses it's performance on every performance measurement. The speed keys on the remote are a big plus, but the best key is the voice command going far beyond what I thought was possible. Ordering on line was easy and the Best Buy support on "pick up" day was fast, professional, and they even loaded it into my truck

for the price this is one of the best tvs you can get. the colors look great and the blacks are great too. the backlit remote is a nice plus.

I bought this TV for garage. It’s bright enough for garage with 4 big windows letting light in. Picture quality is great for a 4K Mini LED. I didn’t buy this TV for gaming. I would recommend QM6K or higher. I connect this TV to sound bar. If this TV was being used in bedroom, sound bar wouldn’t be needed. This TV doesn’t have Filmmaker mode, you need to get QM6K or higher. Movie mode doesn’t get as dark as Filmmaker mode.
